Heaven Fuels Our Commitment
2026/10/25
Using 2 Timothy 4:7–8 and 1 Timothy 6, Rickie explains how the hope of heaven fuels a Christian’s commitment to fight against sin, pursue righteousness, and finish the race of faith. He emphasizes enduring rather than giving up, loving Christ’s appearing more than the world, and trusting in the victory Jesus has already won.  Can we help you with your walk with God? 2026/10/18
What guidance is there from the Bible for single saints? And what role can the church play in the lives of their single brethren? Can we help you with your walk with God? We'd love to hear from you! https://www.thebibleway.com/contact.
The Stories We Tell Ourselves
2026/10/18
We are all interpreters of life's events. Often our feelings and emotions shape the story we believe of what has happened. A wrong story believed can influence how we see and treat ourselves and others. What guidance does the Bible give to help rethink the stories we tell ourselves?  Can we help you with your walk with God? We'd love to hear from you! https://www.thebibleway.com/contact.
I will Very Gladly Spend And Be Spent For Your Souls
2026/10/11
The lesson emphasizes having the mind of Christ by willingly “spending and being spent” for others, not out of obligation or expectation of repayment, but from genuine love and concern for their needs. Like Paul and ultimately Jesus, Christians are called to loosen their grip on personal comfort, convenience, and rights so they do not miss opportunities to serve, sacrifice, and care for others. Tune My Heart to Sing Thy Praise
2026/10/08
A heart truly “in tune” with God is a heart filled with gratitude for His grace, and that thankfulness should naturally overflow into worship, praise, obedience, and a life devoted to Him. When we lose that gratitude, we should remember where we would be without Christ and allow “the touch of the Master’s hand” to restore our perspective, our purpose, and our response to His grace. Glimpses of Glory: The Paradise of God
2026/10/07
Heaven is the true Paradise of God, where all of Satan’s temporary “trinkets” are replaced by the real treasures of abundant life, perfect fellowship with God, healing, rest, and meaningful service. Revelation’s imagery of the river and tree of life points back to Eden and forward to a restored creation where the curse of sin is gone and God once again dwells fully with His people. God’s Grace & The Laborers in the Vineyard
2026/10/07
God’s grace is His to give, and He alone has the right to determine its conditions, so we must stop measuring salvation by what we think is fair or deserved. Because all people are sinners dependent on grace, Christians should respond with humility, trust, and obedience—and should desire God’s mercy for others just as much as they desire it for themselves. Glimpses of Glory: The Bride of Christ
2026/10/06
The biblical picture of the Bride of Christ shows that heaven will be marked by perfect purity, priceless beauty, covenant love, unity, intimacy, and permanence with God. Earthly marriage is only a shadow of that greater reality, so Christians should let their marriages—and their choice of a spouse—reflect the kind of faithful, God-centered relationship that points toward heaven. Underestimating God’s Grace
2026/10/06
Salvation is entirely a gift of God’s grace, but that gift still calls for a faithful response of trust, submission, and obedience; meeting God’s conditions does not earn salvation because what God has done through Christ is infinitely greater than anything we could do in return. Like Israel at Jericho, Naaman, and the blind man in John 9, Christians receive God’s gracious gift by humbly doing what He asks, including responding to the gospel in faith and baptism. Glimpses of Glory: The Holy City
2026/10/05
Revelation 21’s "New Jerusalem" as a picture of the security, permanence, abundance, and perfect unity of heaven, where God dwells with His people and every sorrow, danger, and division is gone. Rather than focusing on the imagery of gold, pearls, and enormous dimensions literally, Christians should see these as glimpses of the eternal home God has prepared and let that hope shape how they live, worship, and relate to others now. Underestimated: An Axehead Worth of Grace
2026/10/04
The story of Elisha and the floating axe head shows us that God cares about even the seemingly small concerns of His people, helps those who are sincerely trying to do right, and offers grace when we find ourselves in situations we cannot fix on our own. At the same time, receiving that grace requires humility and a willing response—doing whatever God asks of us, just as the man had to reach out and take the axe head and Naaman had to wash in the Jordan.  Can we help you with your walk with God? We'd love to hear from you! https://www.thebibleway.com/contact.
Underestimated: Grace for Grace
2026/10/04
Grace in the New Testament is not only God’s unmerited favor toward us, but also the grateful response that His grace should produce in us—through obedience, worship, generosity, forgiveness, and good works. Because God has shown us immeasurable grace through Christ, Christians are called to return “grace for grace” by responding faithfully to God and extending that same graciousness to others.  Can we help you with your walk with God? We'd love to hear from you! https://www.thebibleway.com/contact.
Underestimated: Jesus - Full of Grace and Truth
2026/10/04
Jesus Christ is the firm foundation for the Christian life because He is "full of both grace and truth" — grace without truth becomes empty and permissive, while truth without grace becomes harsh and condemning. Christians are therefore called to reflect Christ by standing firmly on God’s revealed truth while extending the abundant grace God has shown through Jesus.  Can we help you with your walk with God? We'd love to hear from you! https://www.thebibleway.com/contact.
