This week we look at the Early Church, a Church with problems and issues. Amidst these problems we are introduced to a man names Stephen. We will ask what's so remarkable about Stephen? We will see that whenever a follower of Jesus, of The Way, lives with faithfulness, in the Holy Spirit there comes amazing Wonders. We will be challenged by the cost Stephen paid to represent the Promises of God that are in Jesus. But we will also see the great reward that was shown to him in his final moments and the testimony of Grace and Love that filled his heart for those who hated him, but still could not see God's grace in Jesus. Some call this courage, We see Jesus.

Micah - Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly
2025/10/22
This week we conclude our series looking at the book of Micah. The Major theme throughout Micah’s prophecy is that God’s judgment can be a source of hope because his covenant love and promises are more powerful than human evil. God’s ultimate purpose is not to destroy but to save and redeem. Micah finishes his book with a lament of sorts to God – like those famous words from Apollo 13 -Heaven we have a problem. God’s people are out of step with their covenant, they are not following in God’s ways, their hearts do not belong to him, yet God remains faithful, God has a plan. The failures of a generation cannot prevent God’s promise to redeem his creation, to provide for mankind’s salvation. He indeed is always faithful. Bowen Baptist Church Rev Nick Riley
Micah - Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly
2025/10/19
Today’s message was written by retired magistrate Athol Kennedy who was unable to present it. So it is presented by Rev Nick Riley. Todays message focuses on the beginning of Chapter 6 where God shines a light on the Israelites empty efforts, with actions focused on religiosity rather than hearts devoted to their covenant with God = To God’s ways, His Words and His Works. Bowen Baptist Church Written by Athol Kennedy Presented by Rev Nick Riley
Micah - Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly
2025/08/27
In today’s chapter Andrew brings us the message from Micah 5. Chapter 5 brings with it a message of hope, not just for the return of God’s people from an exile that is yet to come, but a reminder of the hope from God’s promise to all nations – a Saviour from the Ancient of Days to be born in Bethlehem. We are reminded again of God’s faithfulness and his steadfast love.
