Will we start seeing gymnasts go D2/D3 first and then transfer to D1
2026/08/22
🎙️ What If Your First College Isn't Your Final College?
In many college sports, athletes are encouraged to consider starting at a Division II or Division III program and transferring to Division I after a year or two.
Gymnastics has traditionally looked at this pathway differently.
But with all of the changes happening in college gymnastics recruiting, we have to be willing to think differently and get creative.
What if more gymnasts viewed D2 or D3 as a potential pathway to their dream D1 school?
It certainly isn't the right path for everyone, and it shouldn't be approached simply as a way to “get to D1.”
But it is a path worth discussing and considering.
The recruiting landscape is changing—and sometimes finding the right path means being willing to think outside the traditional recruiting model.

How to get my gymnast to look at schools she does not want to consider
2026/07/23
I had two parents this week frustrated with their gymnasts because they would not consider anything but dream schools on their lists .
This is actually very common. Take a listen and be inspired to change the narrative on how you communicate, listen and help them to explore new college teams and campuses.

Will you leave a legacy on your college team ?
2026/07/15
Today, I want to talk about something that isn't discussed enough in college recruiting. We spend years helping athletes get recruited, commit to a college, and achieve the dream of competing in NCAA gymnastics. But what happens after you arrive on campus?
At first, everything revolves around making the lineup, learning your routines, balancing classes, and adjusting to college life. Those are all important goals.
But eventually, something changes.
You begin to realize that college gymnastics is about much more than scores, routines, or even championships.
It's about people.
It's about relationships.
It's about the legacy you leave behind.
Reminder: People may forget what you said, but most people never forget how you made them feel. Maya Angelou

The Power of Persistence : Tara's Journey Through Change
2026/06/05
I first started meeting with Tara when she was in 8th grade, and from day one she has been the epitome of perseverance. No matter the obstacles, setbacks, or changes along the way, she never gave up on her dreams.
In this episode, Tara shares her unique college journey and reflects on the unexpected twists that led her from one university to another. Looking back, she now believes every change happened for a reason and ultimately brought her exactly where she was meant to be.
We discuss what it was like at each university, the challenges she faced, the lessons she learned, and how those experiences helped shape her into the person she is today. Her story is a powerful reminder that the recruiting journey—and life itself—doesn't always follow a straight path.
Now, Tara is preparing for her next adventure: law school. I have no doubt she will continue to do incredible things and make an impact wherever life takes her.
This episode is for every athlete and parent who needs a reminder that persistence, resilience, and trusting the process can lead to opportunities beyond what you ever imagined.
