Making Simple Body Spray 1 Get any sized spray bottle. Try to get a spray bottle that is made out of glass instead of plastic; essential oils can degrade plastic over time. Also, choose a blue or brown glass bottle to protect the oils from sunlight. 2 Fill the bottle most of the way with normal water. Be sure to leave some room for your essential oils.[2] If you can't find any normal water, you can use filtered water instead. Do not use tap water, however. If you have an unsteady hand, consider using a funnel to help you pour the water into the bottle.
