Starting Infinite Banking in Your 40s | A Client’s First Policy
2026/10/28
He read Becoming Your Own Banker, studied my YouTube channel, and scheduled a conversation. Now he’s beginning his own Infinite Banking journey. In this Money Memo, I share my experience helping a married father in his 40s put his first whole life insurance policy in place. We discussed his family’s goals, addressed protection needs, and developed a plan specific to his situation. We also put coverage in place on minor children. At the time of recording, he had just signed his final documents. His story illustrates the steps between hearing about Infinite Banking and beginning implementation: study, questions, a personal conversation, and deliberate planning. If you’re investigating the Infinite Banking Concept, I hope this encourages you to do your homework and consider what you want to accomplish for your own family. 3 Infinite Banking Lessons People Overlook | With the Banking Bros
2026/10/26
Have you ever had a good year financially and still wondered where the money went? Understanding Infinite Banking involves more than learning about whole life insurance. It also means examining your habits, how money moves through your household or business, and what it costs to use capital. In this guest appearance with Jonah Dew of the Banking Bros, I discuss three lessons from R. Nelson Nash’s Becoming Your Own Banker that deserve closer attention: honest introspection, the financial environment you operate in, and the cost of capital. We explore why earning more doesn’t automatically mean keeping more, how spending choices reflect your priorities, and why access to capital matters when opportunities and obligations arrive. I also share perspectives from my own experience practicing the Infinite Banking Concept with my family. IN THIS CONVERSATION • Honest introspection: examining your habits, spending, and financial decisions.• Cash flow and capitalization: understanding where your money goes and what remains available.• Financial control: considering how you finance purchases and business needs.• The cost of capital: recognizing the difference between borrowing money and using money you already have.• Family priorities: connecting financial decisions with the life you want to build. Whether you’re investigating IBC or already implementing it, I hope this conversation encourages you to revisit the principles behind the policies and study Nash’s original work for yourself. This conversation originally appeared with the Banking Bros. This Durham Talents edition includes my own introduction and closing. Infinite Banking for My Children—and Future Grandchildren
2026/10/21
Every generation doesn’t have to start from scratch. In this Money Memo, I share why my wife and I are preparing for our children—and grandchildren we don’t even have yet—through our practice of the Infinite Banking Concept. I believe a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. For me, that belief influences how I use my income today and what I’m putting in place for the future. After more than a decade of practicing Infinite Banking, we own whole life insurance policies on ourselves and our children. I explain how I think about their different purposes: cash value that can support financing during our lifetimes and death benefits intended to help the generations that follow. What could you begin putting in place today that your family may benefit from long after you’re gone? Policy guarantees are subject to the contract’s terms and the insurer’s claims-paying ability. Dividends are not guaranteed. Outstanding policy loans and interest reduce available policy values and death benefits. Death benefits are payable to the beneficiaries designated under the policy; providing for future generations requires maintaining coverage and reviewing ownership and beneficiary arrangements. ⚔️ Live and Leave a Lasting Legacy 🛡️ Jesse W. How Do Whole Life Insurance Dividends Work? 10 IBC Questions | Q&A
2026/10/19
How do whole life insurance dividends actually work? Does paying additional premium increase your dividend? Is the dividend based on cash value? And what happens to the death benefit and cash value when you put more premium into a participating whole life policy? In this Infinite Banking Q&A, I answer ten practical questions involving: • Whole life insurance dividends • Additional premiums and cash value • Death-benefit growth • Paying premiums later in life • Transferring policy ownership • Family banking • Tracking policy loans and repayments • Life insurance underwriting • Repeated borrowing and repayment • Unscheduled additional premiums One important distinction in this episode is that dividends are not guaranteed. They reflect the divisible surplus of a mutual life insurance company and are allocated according to the individual policy contract. We also discuss why a long-duration whole life policy does not necessarily mean premiums must always come directly out of your pocket. As policies mature, additional contractual options may become available depending on the policy and circumstances. Later, I explain why ownership matters so much in a multi-generational family banking system: a whole life policy is private property, and ownership may be transferred when done appropriately. Infinite Banking Q&A is where I answer real questions from people discovering, evaluating, implementing, and actively practicing the Infinite Banking Concept. I’m Jesse W. 10 Years of Infinite Banking: My Family’s Experience | Banking Bros
2026/10/16
What does a decade of practicing Infinite Banking actually look like? I join Jeremiah Dew of the Banking Bros to reflect on my first 10 years—from a growing family, a new business, and about $50,000 in debt to the continuing development of our family’s banking system. I share how an invitation from a friend led me to R. Nelson Nash’s Becoming Your Own Banker, why our thinking about whole life insurance changed, and what getting started looked like for Lauren and me. IN THIS CONVERSATION • Our financial starting point and the decision to investigate IBC. • Our first policies and initial $10,000 annual premium. • Talking with my wife about family priorities. • The early challenge of capitalization and limited liquidity. • Mistakes, continued education, and learning what questions to ask. • Adding policies for our children and developing a family banking system. • Helping other people investigate IBC at their own pace. This is my personal experience, including challenges and lessons—not a projection of what your results will be. The premium and policy count discussed reflect our circumstances at the time of recording. This conversation features Jeremiah Dew interviewing me for the Banking Bros. This Durham Talents edition includes my own introduction and closing. CONTINUE WITH LAUREN’S PERSPECTIVE You’ve heard my story. Why I Put More Money Into Whole Life Insurance
2026/10/14
I used to think about my whole life insurance primarily in terms of what it would do for my family when I died. Today, those policies also play an active role in how we finance life. In this Money Memo, I share what changed. As a young father, I wanted life insurance I privately owned, beyond the coverage available through my job. I valued the death benefit and cash value, but I hadn’t understood the policies’ potential for financing during my lifetime. After studying and implementing the Infinite Banking Concept, I began approaching our policies differently. I explain why I deliberately commit premium dollars to our family banking system and how we have used policy loans for vehicles, vacations, a puppy, property taxes, and other expenses. If you own whole life insurance—or you’re investigating Infinite Banking—this is an invitation to understand the principles behind how you use the policies. What Is Term Life Insurance? Where It Fits in Infinite Banking
2026/10/12
What is term life insurance, and where does it fit if you’re investigating the Infinite Banking Concept? I explain how term insurance provides death benefit for a defined period, why privately owned coverage can matter, and how basic term differs from convertible term. For IBC, term insurance is not the asset used to implement the banking process—that role belongs to properly structured participating whole life insurance—but it can still serve an important purpose. I share how I use convertible term alongside whole life, why insurability and Human Life Value matter, and how term can protect your family while preserving future options. DURHAM TALENTS ENCYCLOMEDIA Durham Talents EncycloMedia is a growing reference library I’ve created to help you better understand whole life insurance and the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) as taught by R. Nelson Nash in Becoming Your Own Banker. Throughout this series, I break down the terminology, principles, contractual provisions, policy components, insurance-company concepts, and practical mechanics involved in using properly structured participating whole life insurance from a mutual life insurance company as the asset for implementing your own banking system. Each EncycloMedia episode takes one specific topic and examines what it means, how it works, and—most importantly—why it matters to you as someone seeking to become your own banker. We’ll explore whole life insurance, mutual insurance companies, policy design and structure, premiums, paid-up additions, riders, dividends, cash value, death benefit, policy loans, insurability, underwriting, nonforfeiture options, and the principles behind the Infinite Banking Concept. My goal is not simply to define insurance terminology. I want to help you understand the contracts you own—or may someday own—and how the individual pieces can work together as you build a long-range system of policies for capital, control, protection, financing, and legacy. Throughout EncycloMedia, I’ll draw from my own experience implementing Infinite Banking within my family, along with my professional experience helping individuals, families, and business owners across the United States evaluate and implement the concept. But the foundational source remains R. Nelson Nash’s Becoming Your Own Banker, and I encourage you to study the original material for yourself. New to Infinite Banking? How My Family Uses Infinite Banking | 11th-Year Update
2026/10/09
What does using Infinite Banking look like in my family’s everyday life? In this Money Memo, I share a brief update from our 11th year of practicing the Infinite Banking Concept. I explain how we use participating whole life insurance policies to help finance property taxes, vacations, business equipment, and other expenses—and how that connects with our plans for the next generation. At the time of recording, we own eight policies. I discuss our experience building policy values, using capital, receiving dividends, and establishing death benefits intended to support our family’s future. These are my family’s experiences, not projections or promises of what you will achieve. The purpose of this episode is to give you a practical starting point for further investigation. What Is Demutualization in Life Insurance? Why It Matters for Infinite Banking
2026/10/05
Here’s the Spotify-ready version. I’d simplify the YouTube-style navigation substantially for Spotify: keep the EncycloMedia identity, the seven-section framework, the main playlist link, your CTA, and the episode-specific material—but remove the seven individual playlist URLs. That keeps it cleaner for a podcast/video audience and comfortably below 4,000 characters. For Spotify, I prefer this format over trying to reproduce the full YouTube master description. The description still establishes EncycloMedia → Jesse/Durham Talents → IBC → whole life insurance → Nelson Nash → the seven-part knowledge structure, but it avoids turning the Spotify description into a directory of eight YouTube links. What is demutualization in life insurance, and why does it matter for Infinite Banking? In this episode, I explain what happens when a mutual life insurance company converts to a stock company and how that change can affect policyholder ownership and dividend participation. For the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC), company selection matters because properly structured participating whole life insurance is the asset used to implement the banking process. I discuss company culture, long-range thinking, direct and non-direct recognition, and why building a system of policies across multiple mutual companies may deserve consideration. I also explain an important distinction: demutualization does not erase your existing whole life contract or prevent you from continuing to use its cash value and policy-loan provisions.DURHAM TALENTS ENCYCLOMEDIADurham Talents EncycloMedia is a growing reference library I created to help you better understand whole life insurance and the Infinite Banking Concept as taught by R. My goal is not simply to define insurance terminology, but to help you understand what each piece means, how it works, and why it matters if you are seriously evaluating or implementing IBC.Throughout EncycloMedia, we cover topics including mutual life insurance companies, whole life policy design, premiums, paid-up additions, riders, dividends, cash value, death benefit, policy loans, underwriting, insurability, nonforfeiture options, beneficiary provisions, and more. The series is organized into seven sections:CONCEPT — The principles and philosophy behind Becoming Your Own Banker and the Infinite Banking Concept.COMPANY — The mutual life insurance companies, professionals, and institutional framework behind participating whole life insurance.CONTRACT — The guarantees, provisions, definitions, and mechanics of the whole life insurance contract.CONSTRUCTION — How policies are selected, designed, structured, and built for Infinite Banking.COMPONENTS — The riders, additions, features, and individual pieces that make up a whole life policy.CONTROL — How policy owners access, manage, finance with, and exercise contractual control over their policies and capital.CONTINUITY — Insurability, long-range planning, succession, legacy, and expanding a banking system across a lifetime and generations. My foundational source for IBC remains R. Your Most Valuable Asset Is Your Life
2026/09/23
A mentor from my youth recently passed away, and it reminded me just how fleeting life really is. We spend so much time thinking about protecting our money, property, businesses, and other assets—but your number one asset is your life itself. In this short video, I reflect on life, legacy, and why protecting your human life value through life insurance is ultimately about protecting the people and purposes that depend on you. Financial planning matters. Building wealth matters. Paying Property Taxes With Infinite Banking | Family Banking in Real Life
2026/09/14
Can you use Infinite Banking to pay property taxes? In this installment of our Family Banking series, I show how we use our private family banking system to handle a real expense our family already has: property taxes. Rather than treating Infinite Banking as an abstract financial concept, this is a practical example of how our family uses the banking system we’ve built with properly structured participating whole life insurance. The point isn’t simply how to pay a tax bill—it’s learning to think differently about the banking function surrounding the money already flowing through your life.  About This Channel I help hard-working American families, and business owners understand and implement the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) exactly as it was conceived and codified by R. Nelson Nash, author of Becoming Your Own Banker. As an Authorized Infinite Banking Concept Practitioner with the Nelson Nash Institute and a licensed insurance agent, my practice is exclusively dedicated to helping clients apply the authentic Infinite Banking Concept using properly designed participating whole life insurance policies from mutual Life Insurance companies.
