Welcome back to our journey! Thank you for listening. Our entire family sat down to discuss our experience staying near Badlands National Park. It was a magical three days boondocking on the edge of a cliff at Nomad’s View dispersed camping. Hear the girls discuss the wildlife we encountered at the park, as well as their favorite aspects of the trip. We did the Badlands loop a couple of times, hiked the Fossil Exhibit trail, and helped the kids earn their first Junior Ranger badge at the visitors center inside BNP. We also made the short drive into Wall, South Dakota to explore the historic Wall Drug. The history and the testimony stood out to Michelle and I as the most attractive piece, but it’s easy to see why this place is a must visit attraction for travelers making their way across South Dakota. When Lake Placid first came up in conversation, John replied, "Isn't that a horror movie?" It was anything but horror when we visited Lake Placid, Florida and toured the city's vast collection of murals. This southwest Florida town boasts over 50 massive pieces of art painted on the sides of buildings throughout the entirety of the city limits, many of them containing hidden objects that you can seek and find. Games, puzzles, and scavenger hunts are some things our family really enjoys, so we had an absolute blast.
