On January 13th, 1996, Amber Hagerman and her younger brother are riding their bikes together in the parking lot of an abandoned Winn-Dixie. He decides to head home, leaving young Amber to ride by herself. Minutes later, a man in a pick up truck pulls into the empty parking lot and grabs Amber kicking and screaming into the truck. The only witness, an elderly man whose back yard was connected to the parking lot, immediately called police. A massive search begins, but sadly, four days later Amber's body is found in a local creek. The suspect, a white or Hispanic male has never been located. On the early morning of April 9th, 2001 an explosion rocks a suburban neighborhood in Scottsdale, Arizona. Investigators find the home of the Fisher family engulfed in flames. Inside, they find the bodies of Mary Fisher (38), Brittany (12), and Bobby (10), deceased in the rubble. Noticeably missing is the body of Husband/father Robert Fisher. What is initially believed to be a terrible accident turns quickly into a murder investigation when it is discovered that all three deceased members of the family were killed before the fire that destroyed their home. What comes next is a manhunt that lasts more than two decades, spans multiple countries, and to this day has very few definitive answers. Is Robert Fisher still alive today? On July 15, 1976 the unthinkable happens. In the small town of Cowchilla California, a school bus loaded with 26 students and one bus driver simply disappears. With little clues and the parents of the community in a panic, members of local and the federal government quickly launch the largest search in California state history. Authorities are shocked when the next day the students and bus driver suddenly reappear with a wild story of being buried alive by three kidnappers. The questions mount fast. Who are these kidnappers? Where are they now? And why would three men kidnap a bus full of kids in the first place? The answers to these questions come more quickly than anyone could imagine, and tell a tale of greed, desperation, and sheer determination. All three kidnappers are sentenced to life in prison for their part in this crime. As of 2022 though, two of the men have been paroled early, and now the last man has finally been granted a release from prison. Did the parole board make the right decision? On August 24th, 2019, Madison "Madi" Robinson is enjoying a day of food and fun with her family at the their home in the 900 block of Jefferson St in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. An altercation earlier in the afternoon with a girl from the neighborhood had gotten tense, so everyone had made their way inside the house at the request of Yameka Robinson, the mother of Madi. Yameka ordered a pizza and went to take a shower while Madi and several others were talking and waiting on the front porch for the pizza to arrive. At this time a vehicle drives by the Robinson home firing several shots in the direction of the house. Madi is wounded in the neck, and does not survive the shooting. Within hours, local law enforcement identify and arrest the shooter, a man named Isaiah Lane. The families hope of receiving justice for their murdered Madi would be short lived however. Inexplicably, a few short months later in November of that same year, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Angel Woodruff makes the decision to drop all charges against Mr. Lane, citing lack of witness cooperation as the main factor in her decision. Witness tampering, lack of motivation to prosecute, and missteps made by law enforcement leave the investigation into the murder of Madison Robinson in shambles. Will her family ever receive justice? On June 6th, 1992 Suzie Streeter and Stacy McCall graduate high school in Springfield, Missouri. After attending several graduation parties that evening, the girls head back to Suzie’s mom’s house, Sherrill Levitt, to spend the night. When friends come looking for Suzie and Stacy the next morning however, all three of the girls are nowhere to be found. Their cars were parked outside. Their purses lined up in a row inside the house. Money and cigarettes still in the purses. Clothes folded up neatly in the bedrooms as if the girls had gotten undressed and climbed into bed.
