Why I Own What The Government Cannot Print
2026/10/24
Get your tickets for the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference, January 24–25, 2027: https://vricmedia.com Imagine borrowing money and picking your own interest rate. Not the bank. You. A government that owes $40 trillion and paid more than $1 trillion in interest this year, more than it spent on its entire military, would pick a low rate every single time. There is a tool that lets it. The central bank announces a ceiling on the ten-year rate and buys every bond it takes to hold it there, paying with dollars that did not exist the day before. America ran this machine from 1942 to 1951. Japan ran it from 2016 to 2024 and ended up owning half its own bond market. Cheaper mortgages are the part they advertise. The part they do not advertise is who pays, and it is not the government. One thing has always sat outside the machine's reach. Learn to invest alongside the top minds in commodities. America's AI Giants Have No Moat — And China Knows It
2026/10/19
On September 12, the head of one of the most valuable companies in the world asked his own industry to slow down. Sixteen days later, Reuters reported his company was preparing to go public at a valuation above $2 trillion, with a prospectus that spends 80 of its 261 pages on risk, including the risk that its product threatens human survival. The official story is public safety. Companies do not warn that a product could end the world and plan to sell shares in it the same month without a reason. The reason is a missing moat. Customers who can switch AI providers in an afternoon are switching, prices are falling, and a free Chinese model took first place on the coding leaderboard in July. America has seen an industry face this problem before. The railroads wrote the playbook in 1935. Everyone else paid the bill. October 28th: The Day Iran Breaks the Bond Market
2026/10/05
On September 16, the day the Federal Reserve raised interest rates for the first time since 2023, the speaker of Iran's parliament posted a math equation. It was the formula American central bankers use to set interest rates, with two new terms added, each named after a waterway that Iran and its allies can close. It looked like a joke. One week later, diesel hit $6.53 a gallon, the highest price ever recorded in the United States. The equation was a claim: whoever controls the price of oil controls the price of money in America, from a family's mortgage to the interest on $40 trillion of government debt. Washington has an answer, and it is not cheaper oil. Both sides want crude expensive, for opposite reasons. Only one of them needs it to last. The Fed's next decision is October 28. America vs. Europe: Which is Canada's future partner?
2026/09/28
On August 22, Canada walked out of trade talks with the United States, and tariffs of 50 percent took effect on billions of dollars of Canadian goods. The official story is that Washington asked for too much and offered too little. The final demand tells the real story: the Americans asked for a say over which countries Canada could sign trade deals with. Ottawa has faced this exact choice before. In 1972 it signed an agreement with Europe and waited for the trade to follow. The trade never came, because nothing had been built to carry it. Now Europe is offering Canada a seat as its first associate member, the world's largest investors have flown to Toronto, and the tax code has been rewritten to pay for what 1972 never built. Whether it works this time comes down to one thing. It is not the agreement. The Truth About Why Countries Are Pulling Their Gold From America
2026/09/14
This year, two of America's oldest allies quietly took their gold out of the United States. France went first and emptied its New York holdings entirely. The Netherlands went second, moving 86 tonnes. Both governments gave the same answer: it's not you, it's me. Paris said the bars were old. Amsterdam said it wanted to be ready for a crisis. Both made a point of adding that the move was not political. Governments do not describe a technical upgrade as "not political" unless somebody has asked the question. Roughly 215 tonnes left American custody this year, and only 27 of them ever went anywhere. The rest changed hands without a single vault door opening. That detail is the whole story, and it explains why no finance minister on earth will say the real reason out loud. Learn to invest alongside the top minds in commodities. America Says Hormuz Won’t Matter in 2 Years. Here’s the Problem.
2026/08/31
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent just predicted that the most important oil chokepoint on Earth will stop mattering within two years: the Strait of Hormuz, he said, is about to become just another body of water. Washington's top diplomat is saying the same thing. The plan sounds simple enough: build pipelines around Iran, and the strait that carries a fifth of the world's oil loses its grip on the global economy. The pipelines that exist today move a fraction of what passes through Hormuz in a single day, and the routes meant to close the gap all share one feature nobody in Washington is talking about. They have to come out somewhere. What waits at the other end is the problem. Learn to invest alongside the top minds in commodities. Join The Commodity University today. The TRUTH About Why America Bailed Out Japan
2026/08/27
On the last day of July, the United States did something it had not done in 28 years: it walked into the currency market and spent billions rescuing another country's money. The White House called it friendship. Governments do not spend tens of billions on friendship, and Treasury secretaries do not say "whatever it takes" about things that don't let them sleep at night. The real story runs through Tokyo. Japan is America's banker, holding over a trillion dollars of U.S. Treasuries, and its collapsing currency forced Washington into a corner: rescue the yen, or watch American borrowing costs spiral just as the 30-year yield hits its highest level since 2007. The machine Washington built for the job reveals exactly what the people running the system fear most. It is not the yen. Learn to invest alongside the top minds in commodities. 2008 vs 2026: The Same Dominoes Are Falling
2026/08/26
The machine that broke the economy in 2008 has been rebuilt — and this time it's made of AI. Jay breaks down the $2 trillion in promised future payments that Microsoft, Oracle, Google and Amazon are counting as guaranteed revenue, why those promises come from companies that lose billions every year, and how the same structure powered the housing bubble — which actually died in 2006, while prices were still at record highs. He explains why a nearly free Chinese AI model is now attacking the growth that holds the whole thing up, why Washington's proposed ban could make it worse, and the one number that signals when the machine starts to break. America's Closest Allies Are Building a Future Without It
2026/08/26
Last week the White House imposed 50% tariffs on most Canadian goods, invoking a 1930 law no president had ever used, and the Toronto Stock Exchange promptly had its best day in a month — and Jay argues the shrug is the story, not the tariff. In this episode, Jay traces that reaction back 2,500 years to a Greek alliance where every city had to choose between building its own warships or sending silver and letting Athens build the fleet, shows why almost all of them chose silver and what it cost them, and follows the same four-stage cycle through Europe's Russian gas trap to the studies now under way in European capitals asking whether their own weapons would work without America's permission. This is a look at what happens to a country that stops knowing how to build its own ships, and how to tell over the next year which allies are actually building and which ones are only announcing. July 24th: The Day China Reveals Gold’s Real Price
2026/08/25
China is shutting down paper gold. On July 24, 2026, some of the largest banks on Earth — ICBC, the Postal Savings Bank, Ping An — stop letting their everyday customers trade it, all in the same narrow window, and Jay argues this isn't about protecting investors from volatility. It's the moment China starts finding out what gold is actually worth. In this episode, Jay traces the setup back to a room inside the Bank of England where, in March 1968, the floor physically gave way under the weight of the gold stacked on top of it — the same week a defended paper price collapsed into two prices and a whole new monetary system. This is a look at what happens when the paper price of gold breaks away from the real metal, why central banks are quietly trading their U.S. Treasuries for bullion at a record pace, and how China built the machine to force the question on purpose. The Hidden Machine Keeping the Dollar Alive Is Breaking
2026/08/25
There is a hidden machine underneath the world's money — a web of banks, payment rails, and rules, built up over the better part of a century, that quietly keeps the U.S. dollar at the center of everything you earn, spend, and save. Almost nobody can see it. And right now, pieces of it are breaking. In late 2025 you got the clearest signal yet: BHP, the largest mining company on Earth and one of America's closest military allies, was pushed off the dollar and forced to sell its iron ore to China in yuan — because its biggest customer demanded it. In this episode, Jay pulls back the curtain on that machine and breaks it into the five jobs any global money system has to do — price it, move it, park it, trust it, free it — then grades the dollar on each one. The verdict: on pricing trade and moving money the dollar is still miles ahead, but on the two jobs that matter most — trust and freedom — it has started breaking its own rules, and the rest of the world has noticed. This is not a story about the dollar crashing tomorrow. It's about the gap between one monetary era and the next — the valley between two peaks — and how to tell which slope we're standing on. The Dollar’s Replacement Won’t Be China
2026/08/24
In 2025, the world's central banks quietly began holding more gold than U.S. Treasuries for the first time in a generation, and Jay argues this is not really a story about gold, it's the clearest signal yet that the dollar's reign has no heir. In this episode, Jay runs the numbers on every supposed successor to the dollar, China, the euro, the yen and pound, a BRICS currency, even stablecoins, and shows why each one fails the test, leaving the throne empty for the first time in 600 years. This is a look at what happens when an empire's currency begins to fade but no rival is ready to take the crown, and why central banks are quietly piling into the one money no government can print or freeze. Turkey Just Sold Its Gold — Here's Why That Should Scare You
2026/08/24
Turkey has started selling its gold after nearly wiping out its U.S. Treasury holdings, and Jay argues this is not an isolated crisis, it's an early warning signal in a much larger financial cascade. In this episode, Jay breaks down how higher oil prices, shrinking global reserves, and forced Treasury selling could pressure emerging markets first, then push stress back into the U.S. bond market and the dollar itself. This is a look at what happens when countries run out of dollars, run out of assets to sell, and are forced into the next phase of the crisis. Money Printing Explained: Why It’s Different This Time
2026/08/23
The U.S. government spends roughly $2 trillion more than it collects every year and runs entirely on borrowed money — yet somehow it still turns around and lends tens of billions of dollars to other nations. How is that even possible? The answer starts with a keyboard and ends with the price of your groceries. Jay opens 300 years ago, with the Scotsman whose paper-money scheme minted the world's first "millionaires" in France — right before it collapsed — and argues the system we live under today is the very same machine, just far better at hiding the problem. From there he takes you inside it piece by piece: how Washington actually borrows, the small club of banks legally forced to buy its debt, and the single number that quietly sets your mortgage, your rent, and the entire global economy. Then comes the question that shouldn't have an answer: how a country this deep in debt can suddenly act as the world's lender of last resort — and what a string of recent, urgent requests from the Gulf and Asia may really be signaling. By the end, Jay ties the whole machine back to one thing sitting in your pocket right now. The money comes from nowhere. So where does the bill go? America’s Future is Already Written - In Japan
2026/08/23
What's happening in Japan is a preview of where the United States is heading. Jay breaks down how Japan's crushing debt, collapsing yen, rising borrowing costs, and dependence on imported oil could ripple into American bond markets, the dollar, and the price of hard assets. He explains why Washington already copied Japan's playbook — zero rates, quantitative easing, yield curve control — and why Tokyo running out of road could signal a much larger financial problem heading for the U.S. Citations: https://rentry.co/qq5f9cmq Learn to invest alongside the top minds in commodities.
