Nicole talked more with us about purity culture and helped bring a female perspective to our discussion. The conversation ranges from some of the long term damage Purity Culture caused to laughing about some of the ridiculous things we’ve done in the name of staying pure. We are very grateful for Nicole joining us and adding so much to our discussion. Hopefully it’s just the first of having some guests on the podcast!

In this episode we try to reframe the way we understand lust. In many church spaces lust becomes an excessive point of focus and our understanding of it leads to much unnecessary guilt and shame. What is scripture really concerned about with lust and can we finally feel free to admit we find humans and their bodies beautiful!

My brother Joe and I are back and working on season 2 of the podcast. In this episode we talk about some changes coming to season two and our need as people to engage conversation with people who think and believe different than us.

It seems like we always revert to “accountability” as the answer. But what if accountability won’t fix these problems? What if it’s something else that needs to change?
