Sometimes the best way to start again is with a simple, honest conversation:“God, I’m ready to talk.”In this message, Pastor Bish opens 1 John and reminds us that following Jesus isn’t about pretending to be perfect—it’s about walking in the light.John’s letter to early believers starts with a powerful declaration: “That which we have heard, seen, and touched…” (1 John 1:1). It’s not hearsay—it’s a testimony of real encounter with Jesus. And the goal? True fellowship with God and one another.Walking in the light means being honest, not hiding. Grace doesn’t excuse sin; it transforms us. And the promise is clear: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us.” (1 John 1:9)This is not a God who condemns you. This is a God who forgives, restores, and calls you closer.Maybe today is your moment. No more hiding. No more pretending. Just say it: “God, I’m ready to talk.”------Decided to follow Jesus today?: https://www.rivervalleyvan.org/now-whatConnect with us: https://rivervalleyvan.churchcenter.c...Request Prayer: https://rivervalleyvan.churchcenter.c...Give Online: https://www.rivervalleyvan.org/giveFIND US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram: / rivervalleyvan Facebook: / rivervalleyvan WEBSITE:https://rivervalleyvan.orgSTAY CONNECTED:Subscribe for more insightful sermons and share this message with your community.

This past week, Pastor Bish continued his dive into Ephesians with a powerful reminder: when God shows up, everything changes. Not just in theory—but in you.In Ephesians 3, Paul shares how grace crashed into his life and rewrote his story. Once a proud persecutor, now a humble preacher—because when God shows up:• He transforms you• He calls you• He gives you a purpose bigger than yourselfAnd God doesn’t stop at saving you—He empowers you to live beyond what you could ask or imagine (Eph. 3:20).You’re not an outsider. You’ve been given a seat at the table. So don’t settle for crumbs—step into the fullness of what God has for you. He’s able. He’s willing. And He’s already closer than you think.Decided to follow Jesus today?: https://www.rivervalleyvan.org/now-whatConnect with us: https://rivervalleyvan.churchcenter.c...Request Prayer: https://rivervalleyvan.churchcenter.c...Give Online: https://www.rivervalleyvan.org/giveFIND US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram: / rivervalleyvan Facebook: / rivervalleyvan WEBSITE:https://rivervalleyvan.orgSTAY CONNECTED:Subscribe for more insightful sermons and share this message with your community.

Life can sweep you off course before you even notice. But two words change everything: But God.Ephesians 2 reminds us—we were dead in sin… but God made us alive with Christ. Not because we earned it, but because He loves us.Whatever you're facing today, remember: your story isn't over. But God still has the final word.--Decided to follow Jesus today?: https://www.rivervalleyvan.org/now-whatConnect with us: https://rivervalleyvan.churchcenter.c...Request Prayer: https://rivervalleyvan.churchcenter.c...Give Online: https://www.rivervalleyvan.org/giveFIND US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram: / rivervalleyvan Facebook: / rivervalleyvan WEBSITE:https://rivervalleyvan.orgSTAY CONNECTED:Subscribe for more insightful sermons and share this message with your community.

In the opening of Ephesians, Paul gives us more than encouragement—he gives us perspective. Even from prison, he reminds us we’re not defined by our past or performance, but by our position in Christ.
