E336 - How to Build a Dividend Portfolio That Can Stand the Test of Time
2026/10/18
How do you build a dividend portfolio that can generate reliable income and stand the test of time? It takes more than chasing high yields or buying companies with long dividend growth streaks. In this video, I walk through 6 steps to building a long-term dividend portfolio designed to help you grow your wealth, build sustainable income, and stay on track toward your financial goals. Whether you're just starting out with dividend investing or working toward replacing your paycheck in retirement, these principles can help you build a portfolio with a plan behind it. In this video, we'll cover: – Why dividend yield isn't everything – Step 1: Define your dividend portfolio goals – Step 2: Make sure the numbers actually work – Step 3: Keep your investment strategy simple – Step 4: Stop waiting for the perfect time to invest – Step 5: Track more than just dividend income – Step 6: Know when to adapt your portfolio – Final thoughts on building lasting wealth We'll discuss setting realistic dividend income targets, the importance of total returns, choosing between individual dividend stocks and ETFs, the power of compounding, evaluating dividend sustainability, and knowing when to make changes to your investments. The goal isn't to find the highest-yielding stocks or build the most complicated portfolio. It's to develop a strategy you can stick with through different market environments while working toward your long-term financial goals. 📊 Want to track your portfolio and improve your stock research? E335 - 29 Stocks Paying Me $100+ in Annual Dividends
2026/10/17
How many stocks in my portfolio are projected to pay me at least $100 in dividends over the next 12 months? The answer is 29. In this video, I'm breaking down the 29 positions in my portfolio that are each projected to generate $100 or more in annual dividend income. I'll walk through the companies, their expected dividend payments, and how they contribute to my growing portfolio income. I focus on quality businesses, sustainable dividends, and long-term total returns rather than simply chasing the highest yields. These projections give me a better idea of where my dividend income is coming from and how my portfolio is evolving over time. 📊 Track your own portfolio with Yieldr Want to see your projected dividend income, track your portfolio's performance, and research stocks in one place? E334 - RLI vs. Cincinnati Financial: Which Dividend King Is Better?
2026/10/14
Two Dividend Kings. Two outstanding insurance companies. But which one offers the better opportunity for dividend growth investors today? In this video, I compare RLI Corporation (NYSE: RLI) and Cincinnati Financial (NASDAQ: CINF) across dividend growth, business quality, financial strength, profitability, and valuation to see which stock looks more attractive for long-term investors. Both companies have decades of consecutive dividend increases and excellent business quality scores, but their valuations and dividend profiles tell two very different stories. Here's what we'll cover: - Business Quality: RLI scores 95 and Cincinnati Financial scores 96 on the Yieldr Quality Score. - Dividend Growth: RLI's 51-year streak vs. Cincinnati Financial's impressive 65-year streak. - Dividend Yield: Compare their regular dividends and RLI's history of special dividends. - Financial Strength: ROE, interest coverage, payout ratios, and balance sheet strength. - Valuation: RLI's estimated 29% discount to fair value vs. Cincinnati Financial's 4% discount. - Final Verdict: Which stock offers the more compelling combination of quality, dividend growth, and potential returns? RLI stands out for its underwriting profitability and potential valuation upside, while Cincinnati Financial offers a higher regular dividend yield, a longer dividend growth streak, and a lower P/E ratio. Which Dividend King would you choose for your portfolio — RLI or CINF? Let me know in the comments. 📊 Explore both stocks with Yieldr: https://yieldrapp.com/ Yieldr is a portfolio tracking and financial analytics platform designed to help investors research stocks, evaluate dividend growth, and analyze valuation. E333 - Covered Call ETFs: Income vs. Wealth (QQQ vs. QYLD)
2026/10/09
Covered-call ETFs offer attractive distribution rates of 8%, 10%, or even 12%+, but what are you giving up to get that income? In this video, I compare QQQ and QYLD to explore the hidden tradeoff behind covered-call ETFs. Using total returns from 2020 through September 2026, we’ll see how these strategies performed during bull markets and the 2022 downturn, and what the results mean for long-term investors. We’ll cover: - How covered-call ETFs generate income - QQQ vs. QYLD: total returns and portfolio growth - Why high distributions don't necessarily mean high returns - The impact of capped upside on long-term compounding - Whether covered-call ETFs make sense for wealth accumulation or retirement income - Downside protection, taxes, and key risks to understand The bottom line: Covered-call ETFs can be useful income tools, but the right strategy depends on whether your priority is generating cash flow today or building wealth for tomorrow. E332 - 25 Dividend Stocks I’m Watching in October 2026
2026/10/05
I screened the U.S. stock market for dividend stocks that combine an attractive starting yield, strong fundamentals, reasonable valuation, and above-average future return potential. For October 2026, the screen produced 25 stocks with an average dividend yield of 3.38%, an average potential discount of roughly 30% based on dividend yield theory, and estimated future return potential of about 18.5% per year. In this video, I take a closer look at several of the stocks on the list, including Zoetis (ZTS) and Domino’s Pizza (DPZ), and explain why they stand out after their recent declines. I also walk through the screening process I use to narrow the entire U.S. stock market down to just 25 ideas each month. The goal isn't to tell you what to buy. It's to identify companies that appear quantitatively attractive enough to deserve a closer look. 📊 Get the full list of 25 stocks: https://qualityatafairprice.substack.com/p/top-dividend-stocks-october-2026 📈 Research these stocks in Yieldr: https://yieldrapp.com/ This is for informational and research purposes only and is not investment advice. E331 - Accenture Just Had Its 2nd-Best Day Ever. Here’s What Changed.
2026/10/02
Accenture just had its 2nd-best day ever, with ACN jumping 15.78% at the close after its latest earnings report. At one point, the stock was up more than 24%, putting it within striking distance of its all-time best day. So what changed? In this video, I break down Accenture's latest results and the bigger question investors have been asking: Is AI ultimately a threat to Accenture's business, or could it become one of its biggest growth opportunities? We look at: • Accenture's $18.7B quarterly revenue and $22.2B in bookings • Why the company now has nearly 110,000 AI and data professionals • The shift toward fixed-price and outcome-based work • Why managed services is now slightly larger than consulting • Accenture's $4.9B acquisition strategy • Its partnerships with Google Cloud and Anthropic • The dividend, buybacks and $11.6B of free cash flow • What Accenture's 3–6% FY2027 growth guidance tells us • And why today's massive stock move doesn't necessarily settle the long-term AI debate The bigger question is whether Accenture can turn AI-driven demand and productivity gains into sustainable growth and stronger cash flow over the next several years. 📊 Follow along with my stock research and portfolio analytics platform: https://yieldrapp.com This video is for informational and research purposes only and is not investment advice. #Accenture #ACN #Investing #DividendStocks #AI
E330 - SCHD’s Next Dividend Could Set a New Record
2026/09/29
SCHD is still growing its dividend in 2026. But through the first three quarters, it’s ahead of 2025 by just 0.84%, the smallest positive Q3 lead in the fund’s history. Now, everything comes down to the final dividend of the year. In this video, I break down exactly what SCHD needs to pay in Q4 to: • Match its 2025 dividend • Produce positive dividend growth • Reach my current Q4 estimate • Avoid setting a new low for annual dividend growth My current base estimate for the Q4 distribution is $0.2836 per share, but the key number is $0.3113. That’s approximately what SCHD needs to pay to reach its previous minimum annual dividend-growth rate of 3.78%. So how unusual could SCHD’s 2026 dividend growth actually be? Let’s look at the numbers. Yieldr: https://yieldrapp.com/Disclaimer: This video is intended for entertainment purposes only and should not be taken as investment advice.
E329 - I Ranked All 58 Dividend Kings — Here’s Where the Opportunities Are
2026/09/21
There are 58 Dividend Kings, companies that have increased their dividends for decades. But having a great dividend history doesn't automatically make a stock a great investment at today's price. In this video, I rank all 58 Dividend Kings based on the combination of Quality and Return Efficiency. The Quality Score measures the underlying quality of the business, while Return Efficiency looks at what you're paying for the stock's future return potential. The two scores are combined into a Final Score. This produces some very different results from simply ranking the Dividend Kings by yield, dividend growth, or quality alone. I look at some of the highest-quality companies, some of the most undervalued companies, familiar names like Lowe's and PepsiCo, and the companies that rank near the bottom of the list. The goal isn't to create a buy list. It's to create a research starting point and identify where quality and valuation currently line up. E328 - Is It Still Safe to Buy SCHD at These Prices?
2026/09/18
SCHD is up about 22% in 2026 and trading near its all-time high. Should you still keep buying? I analyzed 3,745 trading days to see what historically happened when investors bought SCHD at all-time highs. I also look at SCHD’s largest holdings, current valuations, dividend growth, and whether the ETF still offers reasonable value today. E327 - This Stock Market Statistic Should Scare the Crap Out of You
2026/09/14
Yieldr: https://yieldrapp.com/ The stock market loses money surprisingly often.Since 1928, the S&P 500 has had a negative return in 26 of 98 years. That's roughly one out of every four years. And that's the statistic everyone focuses on. But when you stop looking at individual years and start looking at longer holding periods, the picture changes dramatically. I pulled nearly 100 years of S&P 500 data and calculated the annualized return for every possible holding period from 1 year all the way out to 40 years. What I found was surprising. At 1 year, 26.5% of periods lost money. At 5 years, 11.7%.At 10 years, 5.6%. At 15 years, just 1.2%. And at 16 years?Zero. Not one 16-year period in the dataset produced a negative annualized return. This video looks at what that statistic actually means, why the stock market's worst crashes can distort our perception of long-term investing, and the potentially enormous cost of choosing "safety" instead. I'll also show you what happens to $10,000 when it compounds at the historical average return over 40 years. And the final statistic might be the most important one of all.If you're interested in the numbers behind the stocks you own, check out Yieldr. E325 - 5 Climate Adaptation Stocks I’m Watching in 2026
2026/08/30
What happens if governments, businesses and households have to spend more money adapting to a changing climate? In this video, I look at 5 high-quality companies that could benefit from long-term investment in cooling, water infrastructure, electrical grids and construction. The five stocks I'm watching are: Trane Technologies (TT) — HVAC and cooling Xylem (XYL) — water infrastructure Lennox International (LII) — HVAC Hubbell (HUBB) — electrical infrastructure Vulcan Materials (VMC) — construction materials I’ll look at each company's business quality, dividend, free cash flow growth, ROIC and valuation using Yieldr, then estimate what the potential long-term return could look like from today's price. I'm also trying to decide which of these stocks could ultimately replace my position in Global Payments (GPN). A great business can still be a bad investment if you pay too much. That's why I'm looking for the best combination of quality, valuation and long-term growth. 👉 Research these stocks and compare them with the rest of the Quality Investable Universe with Yieldr: https://yieldrapp.com/ 📈 Full article covering all 10 stocks: https://qualityatafairprice.substack.com/p/10-potential-replacements-for-gpn?r=34wcfq This video is for informational and educational purposes only and is not investment advice.
