Cole and James put a wrap on the regular season and take a look at the playoff matchups set for this coming weekend at Hellard Field at Shouldice Park. The Wildcats complete an impressive perfect regular season, but face a feisty Lions team in the Div 1 Semi-finals. The Cowboys and the Stampeders will play the other Div 1 Semi. In Div 2 Semis, the Colts will take on the Raiders while the Mavericks will try to take down the Eagles. The Chiefs get their first win of the season against a struggling Bulldogs team, and both teams get a bye this weekend before they play a rematch for the Div 3 City Championship. Special guest Scott Duesing joins Cole and James to recap the events from week 8 of the CBFA season. The Wildcats secure top spot in Division 1 playoffs, the Cowboys defeat the Lions, and the two games get ugly at the final whistle. Expect some suspensions to be handed out in the next few days. This week James covers the action at Shouldice Park while Cole traveled to Airdrie to cover the Homecoming games. The Wildcats remain perfect through 7 weeks, and the Cowboys remain a game behind. Stampeders, Lions, and Raiders are competing for 2 Division 1 playoff positions. Between the Bulldogs, Colts, and Chiefs only one will secure a Division 2 playoff spot. The others will play for the chance to travel north for Provincials. It's a busy weekend coming up in week 8. First, it's the final day for the Pink Sock Initiative, which raised $6600 for the Canadian Cancer Society this year!. Second, it's Gordie's 8th Annual Food Fight: the team that brings in the most donations wins a pizza party!. Cole and James are back, and that means Bantam football is about to kick off for another exciting season. The 16th Annual Football Jamboree was another win for the Ronald McDonald House.
