Body Positivity is Getting Stirred Up
2024/02/27
The body positivity (BoPo) movement has been working to break down barriers to accepting all body sizes. It's so great showcasing that we can't all be the same size and we are here for all the bodies. But now some BoPo influencers, who have built their whole community around body acceptance, aren't being accepted because they want to lose weight. What the heck? It's damned if you, damned if you don't. Beth and Jessica discuss body positivity and why people get upset about change in the community. As well as how to support your mind around your body, health, and online communities when wanting to make a change.

Oh man, what a conversation we had about what, if any, is the optimal diet for most people! We discuss the books, How Not to Diet and Pegan, and other podcasters/health influencers take on plants and animals as food. We do not hold back on our opinions, which are solely ours. You may have different needs and viewpoints on what your body wants and needs are, and guess what? That's ok!!
