MOTH is about a young woman who is visited by important women in her life while laboring alone in a hospital elevator. MOTH screens with New York No Limits on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at wild project in the East Village, NYC. Claire blends the mundane with the otherworldly as she probes the experiences of women living in the American South. Claire received her BFA in Film at the University of Central Arkansas while living in her hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, and is now based in Brooklyn getting her Film MFA at NYU Tisch. Claire's Director Statement about the film, Growing up in Arkansas, I never questioned the cyclical nature of Southern motherhood. In Kindergarten, when asked what we wanted to be when we grew up, over half the girls said "a mom." Moth explores how the dynamic relationships between mothers and daughters are informed and haunted by heritage. This film is a fever dream distillation of my own attempt to unravel motherhood from womanhood and the crisis of identity it provoked.

We talk with NYC-based filmmaker Junting Zhou about his short film EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY, which screens at New York No Limits, Art of the Short film on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY is a short film about - Two gay men wait in line to get into a techno party in Bushwick, Brooklyn, while reflecting on clubbing culture, gay culture and the pandemic.
