Where Are You Cheating Yourself? | Taking Your Power Back
2026/09/30
Where are you cheating yourself? This episode started with me being completely triggered by someone else’s cheating—and realizing I needed to stop focusing on what they were doing and turn the mirror back on myself. Where am I cutting corners? Where am I breaking promises to myself? Where am I procrastinating, self-sabotaging, skipping the routines I know make me feel better, or giving my power away by obsessing over things I cannot control? We’re getting into all of it. I’m also talking about the energy of fall through Traditional Chinese Medicine—the Metal element, the lungs, large intestine, grief, discernment and LETTING GO—and how perfectly that connects to the energy of Venus retrograde and this season of reevaluating our relationships, values and patterns. Sometimes the trigger isn’t asking you to fix someone else. It’s asking you to come home to yourself. In this episode, we talk about:• Cheating, betrayal + why certain behaviors trigger us so deeply• Where you might be “cheating” yourself in your own life• Self-sabotage, procrastination + personal integrity• Fall, the Metal element + the practice of letting go• Venus retrograde + reevaluating love, relationships and values• Journaling through triggers instead of reacting to them• Taking your power back + controlling the controllables• Using yoga, running, meditation + breath to come back to yourself PLUS: I’m giving you an update on my wellness journey, why I’ve been drinking RYZE Mushroom Coffee, what I’m changing before beginning my Amble journey, and some special Amble offers for the Coffee & Crystals community. ☕ RYZE MUSHROOM COFFEEI’ve been swapping some of my traditional coffee for RYZE Mushroom Coffee as part of my current wellness routine. https://get.aspr.app/SH1w4x 💉 AMBLE HEALTHCurious about GLP-1s, NAD+, glutathione, Lipo-B, Lipo-C or other Amble options? Almost 5 Years Later… Let Me Reintroduce Myself
2026/09/20
Hi, I'm Kadie — yoga teacher, storyteller, people + culture leader, entrepreneur, writer, hopeless romantic, and the voice behind Coffee & Crystals. I started this podcast from my closet in October 2021 after an idea came to me during advanced yoga teacher training in Costa Rica. The vision was to create a space where yoga could meet real life — and where I could use storytelling to make spirituality, growth and self-development feel a little more human. Five years later, that part hasn't changed. In this episode, I'm taking you back to the beginning: growing up with my great-grandmother, developing a work ethic rooted in survival, my complicated relationship with money and ambition, finding yoga, navigating grief and relationships, learning to use my voice, writing my first book, and realizing that some of the things we once felt ashamed of become the exact stories we're meant to tell. Because Coffee & Crystals has never been about pretending everything is positive. It's about the sun AND the moon. The ambition and the surrender. The spirituality and the real life. The beautiful moments and the shadow work. The girl-boss energy and the yoga mat. We get into storytelling as my dharma, 500+ hours of yoga study, entrepreneurship, reinvention, grief, shadow work, money, wellness, finding your voice and what's coming next as Coffee & Crystals enters its fifth year. If you've been here since the closet-recording days, thank you. And if you're new here, welcome. Grab your coffee. Grab your favorite crystal. Come as you are. Let's get into it. Virgo New Moon Reset: How to Lock In Without Burning Out | September 2026
2026/09/10
September feels like a second New Year. And I'm recording this episode on the September 10 Virgo New Moon — which feels like the perfect time to reset, refine and get intentional about how we want to finish 2026. But this isn't about completely reinventing yourself. It's about asking a much more Virgo question: What could work better? In this episode of Coffee & Crystals, I'm talking about how to lock in without burning out — or becoming so focused on productivity, goals and becoming the "next version" of yourself that you forget to actually live your life. We're getting into the energy of the Virgo New Moon and why this moment is less about making 30 new goals and more about choosing a few things to refine and actually taking action on them. We're also talking about Venus moving into Scorpio and the deeper questions this shift can bring up around relationships, values, intimacy, honesty and what we actually want. Because Virgo might help you clean up the outside. But Scorpio has a way of asking what's really going on underneath it. I'm also bringing in autumn through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Lung and Large Intestine meridians, breathwork, yoga, recovery, training, creativity and one of the biggest lessons I'm learning right now: You have to live a life to have a life worth creating from. In this episode: • The September 10 Virgo New Moon• Virgo season and the power of refinement over reinvention• How to set intentions you can actually take action on• Why you don't need 30 new goals — you need a few intentional ones• How to lock in without burning yourself out• Venus entering Scorpio and getting honest about what you value• Relationships, boundaries, intimacy and deeper truth• Autumn through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine• Lung + Large Intestine meridian symbolism• Breathwork and yoga for receiving and releasing• Why recovery is part of training• Creating content without missing your actual life• Why fun, family and relationships aren't interruptions to productivity• The upcoming Aries Full Moon and moving from refinement into action• Carnelian for grounded confidence, creativity and momentum• Nine questions for your own Virgo New Moon reset Your Virgo New Moon reminder: Maybe you don't need a whole new life. Maybe you need to refine the one you already have. Clean it up.Get honest.Take the action. And leave some room to actually enjoy your life while you're building it. Maybe the goal for the rest of this year isn't to see how much you can accomplish. Maybe it's to see how much you can accomplish without abandoning yourself in the process. Lock in — but don't lock out your life. Samadhi, the Blood Moon & the Art of Letting Go | The 8th Limb of Yoga
2026/08/28
Samadhi, the Blood Moon & the Art of Letting Go | The 8th Limb of Yoga What if letting go isn’t the end of something—but the final step toward becoming who you’re meant to be? In the finale of the Eight Limbs of Yoga summer series, Kadie explores Samadhi, the eighth and final limb of yoga: a state of deep meditative absorption where the separation between the person practicing, the practice itself, and the object of meditation begins to dissolve. And the timing couldn’t feel more aligned. With the Blood Moon eclipse, the transition into Virgo season, and fall approaching, this episode is an invitation to look honestly at what you’re carrying—and what you may finally be ready to release. Kadie walks back through all eight limbs of yoga and explores how the practice moves us from how we live in the world, to how we care for ourselves, to the body and breath, and eventually inward toward concentration, meditation, and Samadhi. But this isn’t just a conversation about ancient yoga philosophy. Kadie gets personal about grief, relationships, discipline, running, writing her book, and recognizing the patterns we sometimes have to take responsibility for before we can actually change them. She shares why writing has become one of the places where she experiences deep absorption and purpose—and why this season of her life is becoming less about searching outside of herself and more about becoming. This episode also explores the symbolism of the changing seasons, Traditional Chinese Medicine’s connection between autumn, the lungs, grief, and letting go, and how small daily disciplines can help us move toward the life we say we want. Because maybe transformation isn’t one giant moment. Maybe it’s what happens when you keep showing up. What are you being asked to release so you can become who you already know you’re capable of being? You don’t have to have the entire next chapter figured out. Start with one practice. One choice. One moment of showing up for yourself. And keep going. 00:00 — Welcome + the finale of the Eight Limbs of Yoga series01:21 — The eclipse, Pisces Full Moon + why this moment feels significant03:56 — How the Eight Limbs lead us inward05:43 — Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana + Dhyana07:08 — Understanding Samadhi, the eighth limb08:42 — Writing, purpose + experiencing absorption10:30 — Asking the hard questions about the life you want12:33 — The eclipse as a closing chapter14:09 — Letting go of patterns, beliefs + old cycles15:47 — Virgo season, repetition + discipline17:08 — Traditional Chinese Medicine, autumn, breath + grief19:40 — Moving with grief instead of remaining stuck inside it20:54 — Taking responsibility for our own relationship patterns22:25 — Caring for the four layers of ourselves23:45 — Book update: Phase Three + trusting the process26:16 — Creative flow as another glimpse of Samadhi27:18 — Choosing transformation over searching for a relationship28:25 — The habits supporting this next season31:11 — Why discipline can eventually create ease31:31 — Keep showing up—even when it isn’t perfect Doing the hard, disciplined things is often how we create space for the easier things. The work isn’t about becoming perfect. It’s about becoming more conscious of how you live, what you carry, what you choose—and what you’re finally ready to let go of. Dharana: Where Your Attention Goes, Your Energy Flows | The 6th Limb of Yoga
2026/08/12
Where your attention goes, your energy flows. Today on Coffee & Crystals, we're exploring Dharana, the sixth limb of yoga, and what this ancient yogic practice of concentration and focused attention can teach us about our modern lives. In a world filled with notifications, social media, comparison, relationships, work demands and endless distractions, Dharana reminds us that we have a choice in where we place our energy. Kadie explores how Dharana shows up both on and off the yoga mat—from finding your drishti and balance in Warrior III to protecting your energy in relationships, setting boundaries, navigating comparison, staying focused on your purpose and learning when something simply doesn't deserve your reaction. We also explore teachings around the restless mind from the Bhagavad Gita, manifestation versus focused action, slowing down when life feels heavy, and Kadie's own current wellness and yoga reset. And with the August 2026 solar eclipse happening alongside this episode, we're looking up at the sky too. The Earth is rotating, the Moon is moving around Earth, and we're living within a solar system that is constantly in motion—yet moments of extraordinary alignment still happen. Maybe our lives don't need to stop moving for us to find our center. What if the peace you've been searching for isn't found by doing more—but by consuming less? In this episode of Coffee & Crystals, we're continuing our Eight Limbs of Yoga series by exploring the fifth limb of yoga: Pratyāhāra—the practice of withdrawing the senses and returning home to yourself. Together, we'll explore how this ancient yogic teaching applies to modern life, from social media and relationships to nervous system regulation, spiritual growth, and finding balance during seasons of change. We'll also discuss the symbolism of Leo season, the Lions Gate Portal, and the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including the Earth element and how late summer invites us to nourish, ground, and prepare for the season ahead. In this episode, I also share personal reflections from my own healing journey, including lessons from my August yoga challenge, returning to morning rituals, navigating relationships, and learning that sometimes the greatest act of growth is slowing down long enough to hear your own intuition. Pranayama: How Your Breath Can Change Your Life | The Fourth Limb of Yoga
2026/08/01
What if the most powerful tool for changing your life has been with you all along? In this week's episode of Coffee & Crystals, we're continuing our Eight Limbs of Yoga series by exploring Pranayama—the ancient yogic practice of intentional breathing. After taking some time to reconnect with myself through yoga, movement, and mindfulness, I'm sharing a personal reflection on what happens when we become the student again. This conversation is all about slowing down, regulating the nervous system, and remembering that sometimes the smallest habit creates the biggest transformation. We'll also dive into Leo season, the Lions Gate Portal, and why this energetic season is inviting us to breathe deeper, live more courageously, and reconnect with our purpose. We'll end the episode with a simple guided breath practice you can return to anytime you need to reset. Why this episode is arriving a little later than planned My July wellness reset and lessons from becoming the student again The meaning of Pranayama, the fourth limb of yoga How intentional breathing regulates the nervous system The connection between movement, breath, and mindfulness What love feels like when your nervous system is regulated Leo season, courage, loyalty, and the Lions Gate Portal How one small habit can create momentum in every area of your life A simple guided breathing exercise you can practice anywhere "The most spiritual thing you can do today might simply be taking your next breath with purpose." This week's practice is simple: Notice your breath. Before a difficult conversation. Before reacting. Before making a decision. Ask yourself:What changes when I choose one mindful breath first? Remember, you don't need to overhaul your life overnight. Sometimes one intentional breath is enough to change everything. 2026/07/15
The practice of yoga begins long before you step onto the mat. In this episode of Coffee & Crystals, we're continuing our Eight Limbs of Yoga Series by exploring the Niyamas—the second limb of yoga and one of the most powerful guides for cultivating inner peace, self-awareness, discipline, and spiritual growth. Brahmacharya & The Summer Solstice: Where Your Energy Goes, Your Life Follows
2026/06/18
Brahmacharya, Summer Solstice & Energy Management | The Eight Limbs of Yoga In this episode of Coffee & Crystals, Kadie Chronister continues her series on the Eight Limbs of Yoga by exploring Brahmacharya, the fourth Yama in yoga philosophy. Traditionally translated as moderation or the wise use of energy, Brahmacharya invites us to become more intentional about where we invest our time, attention, and life force. As we move through the Summer Solstice, Cancer Season, and the energetic integration of the Gemini New Moon, this episode explores how ancient yoga wisdom can help us create greater focus, alignment, and purpose in modern life. Kadie shares practical insights on energy management, manifestation, mindfulness, personal growth, and spiritual wellness, while weaving together teachings from yoga philosophy, astrology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Whether you're feeling distracted, overwhelmed, burned out, or simply ready for a reset, this episode will help you identify where your energy is going and how to realign it with the life you want to create. • What Brahmacharya means in the Eight Limbs of Yoga • Understanding the Yamas and their role in yoga philosophy • How energy management impacts success, wellness, and manifestation • The spiritual meaning of the Summer Solstice • Lessons from the Gemini New Moon and intentional thinking • Entering Cancer Season and creating emotional alignment • The Fire Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine • The connection between the Heart and Small Intestine in Chinese Medicine • How to identify energy leaks in relationships, habits, and routines • Creating focus in a world full of distractions • Why your environment affects your mindset, productivity, and mental clarity • Practical ways to align your energy with your goals • Where is my energy going right now? • What habits, relationships, or commitments are energizing me? • What consistently leaves me feeling depleted? • What am I being called to focus on during this season? • What am I ready to release as I enter the second half of the year? • How would my life change if I treated my energy as one of my greatest assets? Satya: How Truthfulness Can Transform Your Life, Relationships & Yoga Practice
2026/06/02
What does it really mean to live in your truth? In this episode of Coffee & Crystals, Kadie Chronister explores Satya, the second of the five Yamas in yoga philosophy and one of the most powerful tools for personal growth, self-awareness, and authentic living. While Satya is often translated as "truthfulness," its teachings extend far beyond simply telling the truth to others. Satya invites us to examine the stories we tell ourselves, the relationships we choose, the boundaries we set, and the ways we either honor or abandon our authentic selves. Drawing from personal experiences, yoga teachings, and lessons from her own healing journey, Kadie shares how practicing truthfulness can help us create healthier relationships, make aligned decisions, and cultivate greater peace and confidence in our daily lives. In this episode, you'll learn: • What Satya means in yoga philosophy• Why truthfulness begins with self-awareness• How to recognize when you're living out of alignment• The connection between honesty, boundaries, and self-respect• How to communicate truth with compassion and kindness• Journal prompts to help you uncover your authentic voice• Practical ways to bring Satya into your everyday life Whether you're new to yoga philosophy or looking to deepen your spiritual practice, this conversation offers practical wisdom for living with greater authenticity, mindfulness, and intention.
