Psychotherapy + Intuitive Readings with Heather Cooper Sellers, LMHC
2026/07/15
On this episode, I had the privilege of sitting down with Heather Cooper Sellers, a Psychotherapist, writer, and intuitive reader. We discussed her values around maintaining congruency between her Therapist self and her authentic self as a key contributing factor to the longevity of her career in the healing arts. This has also been a catalyst for expanding her work into offering anonymous intuitive readings via her advice column on WhatsApp. We also shared mutual yet distinct experiences of a deepening sense of connection to intuition and creativity during the transition to motherhood. And, of course, we dove into the dream realm, unpacking a Jungian take on those pesky overflowing toilet dreams that so many of us know all too well. Creating While Mothering with Christina Cone (Musical Artist, Creative Agency Founder/Owner)
2025/12/01

Christina fronts the band Frances Cone along with her husband, Andy. She also founded Phases, a boutique creative agency for independent artists, earlier this year. She and I spoke about the terror and magic of motherhood, the necessary price we pay to live in community, the journey of healing from religious trauma, dismantling the legacy burden of codependency, and strategies for keeping the creative flame burning all the while. Understanding the Natal Chart with Becca Neighbor (Astrologer and Singer/Songwriter)
2025/01/22
On our latest episode, I interview Becca Neighbor: Astrologer and Singer-Songwriter about making sense of the Natal Chart (aka Birth Chart) in Astrology! Her intuitive method of reading the birth chart highlights key placements illustrating the blessings and challenges inherent in each chart, with the goal of enhancing self-awareness and self-compassion. We also discuss Becca’s journey in navigating her neurodivergent brain, tarot and astrology as shadow work tools, and symbols of the divine feminine in dreams. Enjoy! Becca’s song featured in the episode is “Losing Grip” Follow Becca’s work and various projects here! Psyche Magic Website, Socials and more! More on Becca Neighbor: Twangy, laid-back melodies with a cosmic twist. Drawing from indie rock, folk, country, and pop influences, Neighbor’s music is a glittery fusion inspired by the Wizard of Oz, her Taurus rising, Nada Surf’s “Blonde on Blonde”, and Patsy Cline on vinyl. Neighbor’s Nashville yellow brick road led her to tour managing outlaw country artist and “Highway Queen” Nikki Lane, who graciously gave her an acoustic set at the Stagecoach music festival in 2018. A few years later she managed Dualtone record label’s artist curated vinyl subscription service Magnolia Record Club. When the tornado of 2020 kicked off her Saturn return she found herself back in Ohio for a few years to reconnect. In 2022 she made her eventual return to music city with a fresh perspective and a desire to create. Recently she has been helping behind the curtain of the local non-profit Girls Write Nashville, launching her astrology business, and will be releasing new music in fall of 2024! Tarot for Transformation with Sam Burton (Singer/Songwriter and Tarot Reader)
2024/12/18
On this long-anticipated episode, I got to sit down with singer/songwriter Sam Burton to talk about the role that practices like Tarot and Jungian dream work have played in his personal growth and resulting creative endeavors/artistic career. We also discussed the evolution of his method of reading Tarot for others, and the delicate ethical considerations of this vulnerable but powerful work. Sam’s song featured in the episode is “I Can Go With You” Follow Sam’s work and various projects here and here! Psyche Magic Website, Socials and more! More on Sam Burton: Born and raised outside of Salt Lake City, Sam Burton moved to LA to pursue music. In the last year he toured with Loving and Jose Gonzalez. He recently wrapped up a three-week residency at Los Angeles' Club TeeGee, and will head out on the road with Weyes Blood and Indigo Sparke in the coming months. To coincide with the news of his signing to Partisan Records, Burton has released the new song “Maria.” “Maria” was produced by Jonathan Wilson (Angel Olsen, Father John Misty, Margo Price) at his Topanga Canyon Studio with some of the best studio players in LA, and perfectly showcases Burton's knack for mining pure Laurel Canyon AM gold. Pastoral string arrangements bloom in the background of Sam’s striking honeyed vocals-like a modern-day Campbell, Orbison, or Nilsson. Together, Wilson and Burton achieve a sound that doesn’t descend into retro pastiche, but rather becomes an evocative echo, a dream of the past. In scope, the music finds Burton using a far bigger canvas than on his acclaimed 2020 debut I Can Go With You, giving the emotions therein a new sense of urgency and intensity. 2024/10/16
On this very special episode, I interview my dear friend and incredibly talented singer/songwriter Caroline Brooks aka BELLSAINT about her healing processes that helped her birth brave and powerful newest album: i used to be funny. We touch on themes of narcissistic abuse (both interpersonally and systemically) as well as religious trauma, and the healing and lifesaving power of art and creativity as a way of disrupting and challenging the debilitating shame dynamics these patterns tend to bring about.  Follow Caroline’s work and various projects here! Psyche Magic Website, Socials and more! More on BELLSAINT:  With a unique sound that blends nostalgia with modern ferocity, BELLSAINT is a bold force of nature. Intersectionality and Inner Teen Healing with Elizabeth Su (Author and Creator of The Adventure Tarot)
2024/07/10
On this episode, I interview the fun and fabulous Elizabeth Su about her amazing deck The Adventure Tarot and her decision to center Asian-American women in this project, working to actively dismantle the lack of representation in spiritual spaces that have so often centered the white experience. We discuss undoing patterns of codependency, encountering shadow figures in dreams, navigating neurodivergence, and her journey of embracing and celebrating her mixed racial heritage as a form of inner teen healing. More from Elizabeth’s bio: Elizabeth Su is the author and creator of The Adventure Tarot, a road trip-inspired deck about self-discovery, belonging, and celebrating Asian joy. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University where she researched burnout and perfectionism. Prior to that, she was busy hustling for her worth at a Silicon Valley start-up. Her work has been featured in, among others, the Los Angeles Times, POPSUGAR, and Bustle and centers around topics such as self-love, intersectionality, and the multifaceted nature of being human. Weaving Ritual into Everyday Life with Raven Robbins (Spiritual Consultant, Tarot Reader, & Metaphysical Educator)

We also discuss Jungian archetypes in a broader context and their significance on the esoteric path. Archetypal Artistry with Emily Weiner (Painter and Ceramicist)
2024/05/08
On today’s new episode I got to interview Emily Weiner: visual Artist and fellow East Nashvillian, at her fabulous home studio! We discussed the distinctly Jungian and philosophical influence on her work, her creative process and career trajectory, along with her methods of incorporating both the personal and collective unconscious into her process — letting the layers of meaning unfold over time. Her dream she brought to discuss reflects the tension every artist must navigate between the institution and commerce around art vs. the authentic exploration needed to create truly resonant and enduring work. More from her bio:  Emily Weiner’s paintings consider the art canon through a feminist and Jungian lens. By reconfiguring symbols that have been recycled throughout the history of art, her work questions how archetypal images are shared across generations — and how familiar symbols might be reordered to generate new, collective understanding. Weiner approaches each layer of her painting intuitively, and by working in many layers of paint, finds synchronicity in combinations of colors, forms, and symbols. She creates multimedia frames to further demarcate spaces of suspended disbelief in each of her paintings.  Follow Emily’s work and various projects here! Psyche Magic Website, Socials and more! Thank you for being here!
