Well, it's been a while but we are back with a new episode!   Gencon 2025 is coming up and there are a LOT of awesome games coming up.  We break down some of the ones that we are most excited about.  Also talk a little about movies, TV, and the future of the Mainly Games podcast.  (Oh.. and where we've been!) Feel free to send us an email at [email protected]

We finally got home from Indiana after a LONG trip!  We give our Gencon thoughts on what was the highest attended Gencon in history! We also review Rolling Realms Redux, Finders Creepers, Chronicles of Light, Super Kawaii Pets, and others! Let's get started!

It's been a while, but we're back with a Gencon preview episode.  We also take a look at Leviathan Wilds, Aquatica Reef Expansion, Flock Together, French Quarter, and Crossbows & Catapults.   Gencon is coming... SO LET'S GET READY!

So we are still in Halloween mood and it shows.  We have some Off the Shelf reviews in The Others by Eric Lang and Court of the Dead.  We also look at the roll and write Riverside. Then we look at a list of the 90s board games that defined a decade.  A couple that I haven't heard of, but a couple that even defined what we play today. Let's get started! So it's that time of the year!  Time for our Top 10 Halloween Games!  This is one genre that I wish we could do a top 30 for as we seriously love these types of games. So we are back from our week at the Dice Tower Retreat and it was great!  We have a lot of games to review for you guys.  We take a look at off the shelf Marvel Villainous.  Then off the press we look at Hollywood Golden Age, Featherlight by WIzkids, and Clank Catacombs, the latest addition to the Clank Family. So we've gotten your emails about taking a look at more off the shelf games to go with our off the press reviews. This episode we do just that. We take a look at two off the shelf games that have sat unplayed for various reasons on our Shelf of Shame... Tokaido and Century Spice Road. We also dive into Marvel Dice Thrones. Excited to get this one to the table as I loved Dice Thrones but not enough to invest in the ecosystem. This pushed me over the edge. For our list we take a look at the best games that give you a Sherlock Holmes feel and see if we agree with the list and what we can add. We are also able to right an enormous wrong. Since I grew up pretty much living on playing Heroquest, I never played Risk. I right that wrong and play it once to say I've actually played it. (So you all can stop pointing at me and laughing at me on the playground.) Let's get started! Email us at [email protected] or see our link tree at MainlyGames.com!

In this episode we take a look at the best board game accessories.  We also look at Off the Shelf, Yura Yura Penguin and Cascadia, and off the press, Scout and Psychic Pizza Deliverers Go To The Ghost Town. We revisit Marvel Remix and Kites to see if they hold up at larger player counts.  After playing Twilight Inscription yet again, do we still feel as positive as we did before?  Does it suffer from the same problem as most roll and writes?
