If you're in a long-term relationship, you're hurting. Maybe you don't even know much about neurodiversity or the autism spectrum, and you're pretty scared - because a lot of what you've read online is daunting. You may be wondering about your partner - is autism (Asperger's) a reason for some of the confusion? You may be wondering about yourself. Do you have a neurodiverse brain that functions differently than your partner?
You want so badly to be happy, and to have the great relationship that you imagined - but, you're wondering if those hopes and dreams will ever become a reality. You want the confusion, and the conflict, to stop - you love your partner, and you so badly just want to connect.
I understand you. I've been there, myself. I've had my own neurodiverse relationships, and I learned MORE from them than all my education and training combined. Now, I've met countless men and women who are in relationships like yours. You are my people and I'm here to help.
For over 20 years, I helped people transform their lives as a licensed psychotherapist, but now as a coach, those those of you who are in neurodiverse relationships are my people.
I began specializing in autism well over a decade ago, and now my entire career is dedicated to helping adults like yourself get CLARITY, and to achieve the connection, love, and happiness you desire in your relationship or marriage.
IN MY OWN NEURODIVERSE RELATIONSHIPS I FELT SO MISUNDERSTOOD.
I was accused of being critical (and I didn't understand why).
I felt hopeless and confused.
I thought I was losing my mind.
I felt ashamed that I couldn't fix my relationship. I felt angry. I felt HURT!
Sometimes I even had moments of uncharacteristic rage that shocked and scared me.
I tried hard. I requested talks so we could figure things out. My autistic partners both hated the talks, though.
BOTH OF THESE RELATIONSHIPS TAUGHT ME THAT COMMUNICATION IS A CRITICAL FOUNDATION.
My marriage of 19 years to the father of my children ended, after multiple attempts for help with different counselors. I realized years later that he is on the autism spectrum.
The other relationship with a man on the autism spectrum ended after 2.5 years, but NOT because of autism. In all neurodiverse relationships, autism is only ONE factor - there are many other variables that influence your relationship. Autism is rarely THE reason a relationship isn't working.
So, I developed a coaching program that is based on a unique communication formula that WORKS for couples in spectrum relationships. I'm seeing people go from the brink of ending their marriage or relationship to FINALLY connecting.
I look forward to helping you discover a whole new world of possibility in your relationship and in your life!Warmly,Jodi
