In John 11:45–57, the miracle of Lazarus sets events in motion that cannot be reversed. Many who witnessed the miracle believe in Jesus, but others report Him to the Pharisees. The religious leaders gather and begin plotting how to stop Him, believing they are protecting their nation and preserving their power. Yet behind their schemes, God’s greater plan is unfolding. What they intend for destruction will become the very means of salvation. The clock is ticking toward the cross, and nothing human opposition can do will stop the plan of God. In this message, Pastor Joel McReynolds shows how John reveals the tension building toward Calvary and reminds us that the plans of men cannot prevent the plan of God. The question that remains is how each of us will respond to Jesus.

Jesus declares that He is both the Shepherd and the Gate. He gathers His sheep by name, guards them from danger, and gives His life for them. His voice calls out in love—and divides those who follow from those who reject Him. In this message, Pastor Joel McReynolds walks through John 10:1–21. You will be invited to hear His voice, enter by faith, and find life in the care of the Good Shepherd. Join us as we continue our Light & Freedom series and consider: Have you entered through the Gate—or are you still standing outside?

In the temple courts, Jesus declares, “I am the light of the world.” Challenged about His testimony, He points to His Father’s witness and the certainty of His mission. The Light exposes empty judgment and invites all who follow Him to walk in life. In this message, Pastor Joel McReynolds walks through John 8:12–20, showing how Jesus’ identity shines through His claim, how the Father bears witness to the Son, and how following Him leads out of darkness. You will be invited to follow the Light and trust His word. Join us as we continue our Light & Freedom series and consider: Will you walk in the light of Jesus rather than in the darkness of human judgment?

The scribes and Pharisees drag a woman caught in sin before Jesus to trap Him. The Light of the World exposes hypocrisy, silences the accusers, and lifts the guilty with mercy. His verdict removes shame. His command sets a new path: “Go, and sin no more.” In this message, Pastor Joel McReynolds walks through John 8:1–11, showing how the Law reveals our guilt, how Jesus’ light searches the heart, how His grace frees us from condemnation, and how His command leads us into holiness. You will be invited to step into the light, receive His pardon, and walk away from sin. Join us as we begin our Light & Freedom series and consider: Will you receive Jesus’ verdict of grace and live in the freedom He gives? 🔔 Subscribe for more content from Chandler Southern Baptist Church: @ChandlerSouthern ▶️ To watch other sermons in the Light & Freedom series, visit the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB0cD2ykePIvFsz0wc0nBDooYB46F7AGG

Temple officers return without arresting Jesus and give a simple witness: “No man ever spoke like this.” The council’s response reveals the danger of a closed mind. They dismiss honest testimony, disparage humble listeners, and deny a fair hearing, even as Nicodemus asks for justice. In this message, Pastor Joel McReynolds walks through John 7:45–52, showing how pride hardens the heart, how prejudice clouds judgment, and how Jesus deserves to be heard before He is judged. You will be invited to receive the testimony about Jesus, respect those who are listening, and require fair consideration that leads to faith. Join us as we continue our Signs and Conflicts series and consider: Will you open your mind to Jesus and hear Him first?
