Week 7 is HERE!!!! Today we dove into some scores and stats from last week's games including UCLA winning in Eugene for the first time since 2004 and Georgia defeating the Tide 20-17. We recapped many other scores from around the nation and then transitioned into our college football news segment. We discussed some injury updates and recruiting announcements, NIL, the death of CFB and NFL legend Mike Ditka, DJ Jone's successful heart translate, teams getting it down so far this year with "lower" roster payrolls, head coaches salaries vs their success, uniforms and jersey combos, etc. Lastly, in our games of the week we rattled off picks made by Chew and the dreaded AI bot.

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER WEEK OF CCT!!! Today we recapped scores and stats from around the world of CFB including a more in depth look at Pitt edging out Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, and BYU squeaking out a win over TCU. In our breaking CFB news segment we highlighted the continual push for a 24 team playoff and how close it may be, the week 6 AP poll, Heisman trophy odds and favorites, NIL and player news, as well as key coaching changes. Today we recapped some scores and stats from week 4 action including Florida upsetting the Rebels in Gainesville, Oregon stunning USC in the coliseum, Alabama rolling South Carolina in Tuscaloosa, and much more. Today we rattled off some scores from around the world of CFB including: Texas Tech holding off Houston in a Big 12 clash, Bama storming back vs Florida State, Kentucky upsetting the Aggies of Texas A&M in College Station, Ole Miss exacting vengeance and revenge over Lane Kiffin and LSU, etc. Next we discussed news from around the world of CFB, with injuries updates, NIL and player eligibility, coaching rumors and milestones, and just some good ole appreciation for the sport. Lastly in our Games of the Week I made my picks for 6 games of my choosing and followed up by the dreaded AI bots picks.

Week 3 and the Lane Kiffin revenge game has arrived!!! Today we recapped scores and stats from week 2 including: Texas's huge comeback win over the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Bison of North Dakota State stampeding on to 3-0, Oregon falling to Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Boston College with a moving victory in the Red Bandanna game over Rutgers, etc. In our CFB news segment we discussed the new AP poll, *hopefully wrapped up the LSU and former professional players saga, the CFP looking toward 24 teams in the playoff, jersey and helmet homages out of Central Michigan and Navy, ESPN under political fire, and much more! Lastly, in our Games of the Week we had picks in 6 key games by yours truly and the dreaded AI bot.

Week 2 is here! Today we recapped some scores and stats from week 1 including a tiger on tiger massacre of LSU over Clemson in Baton Rouge, Ole Miss hanging on to defeat Louisville, Auburn making a goal line stop to defeat Baylor, and much more. In CFB news we discussed the ongoing litigation of former pros coming back to college sports and the ramifications surrounding LSU, some bites and food from around CFB stadiums, NIL and deals, uniform combos for this week's games, SEC laying out their guidelines/wishlist for a 24 team playoff scenario, etc. Lastly, we rattled off our games of the week followed by Chew's and the AI Bot's picks!

WEEK 1 is here! THE WAIT IS OVER!!!! We jump back into the best sport on the planet. Today we continued our law school path of learning the legal cases and battles happening with NFL and professional athletes returning to college sports. Lane Kiffin and LSU are at the center and the SEC is not backing down. In other news we discussed the change to the CFB calendar for the 2027 season, NIL and deals, player and coaching news, Akron's offensive coordinator sweepstakes, scheduling and TV rights, fan attendance a problem for the Trojans, and much more! Lastly, we ran through our games of the week followed by Chew's picks and those by the dreaded AI bot.

Week 0 is here!!!!! COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS BACK! Today we dove into the earth-shattering news of professional players being allowed back to play CFB and other college sports. We discussed the origins all the way up to the daily new information and decisions being laid out. Also in relevant news we mentioned the tough love between Jayden Daniels and LSU over the use of the #5 jersey. We talked scheduling and lack of competition for the defending champs as well as network tv crews and destinations for college kickoff crews. Lastly we ran through odds regarding the national championship, Heisman, and conference champions along with picks/predictions for all of the above by yours truly!

CFB SEASON IS NEAR!!!!! Welcome back all to the 6th season of Chew's Chalk Talk. We are 8 days from week 0 and boy do we have a bunch to chat about. Today we discussed the updated field of 138 FBS schools and some conference realignment. Next we transitioned to rule changes for the 2026-2027 season with some key points of emphasis. As always, transfers and NIL took center stage with ingenious and revolutionary changes to college sports as a whole. Lastly we dove into the new 5 in 5 age-based eligibility model and a proposal to shorten the transfer portal window. I appreciate all of the love and support and hope you join this community and family on the rollercoaster ride of the CFB season!

The sensational college football season has come to a close! With the cinderella story concluding with the Indiana Hoosiers as the national champions of CFB! What a season and what a year to Coach Curt Cignetti and the boys from Bloomington, hats off to the Hurricanes as well, hell of a run. Today we recapped the natty and highlighted the historic 16-0 season of the Hoosiers, we gave our flowers to Coach Cig, Fernando, and all of Hoosier Nation. In a loaded CFB News segment we discussed the final AP poll, the CFP remaining at 12 teams, North Dakota State University joining FBS, the new Mountain West and PAC 12 conferences, commercial patches on college jerseys starting August 1st, BIG 10 wanting to ban prop bets, Transfer Portal, Coaching Carousel, Recruiting Madness, and so much more! THE SUN IS SETTING ON THE CFB SEASON. TONIGHT THE WHOLE SEASON CULMINATES TO ONE GAME!!! Today we discussed the National Championship. First we broke down the 2 CFP semi-final games and highlighted the huge wins by the Miami Hurricanes and Indiana Hoosiers. Next in our CFB News segment we ran through viewership and the rise in popularity of CFB, the push for more teams in the CFP and the conferences behind it, conference bowl and CFP records. We gave flowers to the winners of the FCS National Championship: the Montana State Bobcats. We dove into the transfer portal, players going elsewhere, players returning, coach's thoughts on the transfer portal, how teams are faring this portal window, coaching hires, etc. Last but not least in our Game of the Week we had Chew's pick vs the pick of the dreaded AI Bot.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!! The CFP is live and onto the semifinals! What a wild 2 weeks of playoff and bowl games galore. Today we recapped the the first round and quarterfinals of the college football playoff. In our CFB news segment we dove into the coaching carousel as well as the transfer portal. This cycle alone there are a reported 4,000 players entering the division 1 transfer portal. We also discussed the current state of the CFP and college football as a whole. In our games of the week we discussed the Fiesta and Peach Bowl semifinals with picks by yours truly and the dreaded AI Bot.

Bowl season has started, Round 1 CFP games are here! Huge shout out to Navy in their victory over Army. Playoff games galore starting tonight and rolling into Saturday: Alabama and Oklahoma in a clash in Norman, Miami vs Texas A&M in a clash in College Station, Tulane and Ole Miss meet for a 2nd time this season, and JMU travels out to Eugene to face the Ducks of Oregon. In our CFB news segment we dove into the winner of the Heisman Trophy Fernando Mendoza and Indiana's meteoric rise under the helm of the Italian Cigarette himself Curt Cignetti. We discussed the coaching carousel and player news dealing in declaring for the NFL Draft, going into the transfer portal, as well as returning to their schools. We analyzed the current state of CFB and what needs to be done going forward to restore glory to the awesome game. Lastly in our games of the week we rattled off Chew's and the AI Bot's picks for the blockbuster matchups.

THE PLAYOFF BRACKET IS SET!!!! Lots of drama in the CFB world! With conference championship weekend over, we gave our flowers to the champs and recapped some scores and stats from last weekend. In our CFB news segment we ran through the final CFP rankings and the 12 team CFP. We analyzed the Bama and Miami decision over Notre Dame and heard from both sides of the argument. We took a deep dive into Notre Dame's war of words and tantrum as well. Next we contemplated is the 12 team playoff currently constructed to really have the "best 12 teams?" The coaching carousel continues spinning with lots of hires throughout the CFB world. There is a new notion of entire teams not just players opting out of bowl games and we listed the 9 confirmed so far. Shout out to the FCS playoffs and a bracket update; finished by rattling off our games of the week along with Chew's and the AI Bot's picks.

The CFB season has come to a close, CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND IS HERE!!! SELECTION SUNDAY AND PLAYOFF MADNESS IS HAPPENING!!! Welcome back to an extended episode of CCT where we dove into some scores and stats from around the world of CFB. In our CFB news segment we thoroughly discussed the 12-team playoff, the differences from last year, how the rankings, seeding, and byes work. On that same note we ran through Tuesday's CFP poll and the criteria the CFP committee uses to rank the teams. I ran through my predictions of the 12 teams to make the playoff this Sunday as well as the 5 potential teams competing for the final spot. We highlighted Duke's miraculous way to an ACC title berth via the 5th listed ACC tiebreaker and then took a never-ending whirl on the coaching carousel. Lane Kiffin to LSU, Pat Fitzgerald to Michigan State, Billy Napier to JMU, Penn State still without a coach, and much more in the wildest coaching cycle ever.
