Pockets of Peace
2026/06/12
Episode 5- Pockets of Peace
I’m taking you along with me today on a walk between cleaning jobs, stopping briefly at home to check in on my kids—one already at work, the others still enjoying a slow summer morning.
What’s on my mind today is pockets. Pockets of peace, play, and stillness tucked into ordinary, full days that don’t often give us long stretches of quiet. I’m learning not to wait for life to slow down, but to notice the small moments already here.
I’ve also been reflecting on how social media affects my mind—how subtle comparison can build restlessness over time. After stepping away from it for a year and returning, I’m more aware of how quickly my inner quiet can feel crowded again.
So I’m choosing differently where I can: more walking, more prayer, more presence, and simpler ways of noticing life as it is. Small, quiet faithfulness in the middle of everything.
My hope for the spaces God is helping me create is the same—that they feel like quiet places to breathe in a noisy world. And that you are reminded that even in a full life, peace and playfulness can still be found in pockets!
Morning Rhythms & Extra Magic Hours
2026/06/12
Episode 4: Morning Rhythms & Extra Magic Hours
This morning is quiet, and I move through my usual rhythms—helping my husband get ready for work, checking on my kids, and tending to the small, ordinary tasks that shape our home. I’ve done versions of this for over twenty years now, and while it can feel routine, I’m learning to see it as something meaningful.
I step outside into cool air and birdsong and take a slow walk down the road. A deer stands in the field and watches me back, and for a moment everything feels still and awake at the same time. I notice how easy it is for life to look polished on the surface while feeling messy underneath, like a perfect front yard and a chaotic backyard existing at once.
Walking helps me slow down. It clears my mind and turns scattered thoughts into something more grounded. I’m reminded that most of life isn’t solved all at once—it unfolds step by step, like a walk down a road and back again.
There’s comfort in that. In quiet, in honesty, in the idea that even in the middle of uncertainty, there’s still direction for the next step. And for now, that’s enough.
The In-Between Seasons
2026/06/12
Episode 3 Description – “The In-Between Seasons”
In this episode of Front Full Podcast, I’m sharing from my morning drive to a cleaning job and talking through what I’ve been processing with God in real time.
As summer begins, I find myself in a season of transition—navigating motherhood in all its forms, from being home with my kids, to working my shirt business, to cleaning houses. I reflect on how quickly my children are growing: one stepping into full-time work, one preparing to start driving, and one still very young and eager for my attention.
I’m honest about the mix of joy, sadness, and anxiety that comes with watching seasons change, especially with my own history of grief shaping how I handle uncertainty. In the middle of it all, I feel God inviting me to trust Him more deeply.
This episode centers on learning to rest instead of rush, to let go of control, and to live in the “in-between” with faith—taking one small step at a time and finding strength in returning to God.
Learning to Stay in Step — Peace, Productivity, and Presence
2026/06/12
Season 3, Episode 2: Learning to Stay in Step — Peace, Productivity, and Presence
In this episode, I share what life has looked like in a season of shifting rhythms—from family changes and unexpected disruptions to renewed creative momentum and spiritual reflection.
After a stretch of journaling consistently at the beginning of the year, I found myself stepping away as real-life challenges surfaced, including my son’s health struggles, household repairs, and the mental weight that followed.
As things began to stabilize, I noticed a new tension emerge: not between chaos and peace, but between productivity and presence. With fresh energy for creative work—writing, business ideas, and new goals—I also found it harder to disengage and fully show up in family life.
This episode explores what I’m learning about pacing, rest, and the importance of not letting even good things become consuming.
Through prayer, reflection, and everyday motherhood, I talk about the subtle shift from problems to productivity as a different kind of challenge, and the need to stay aligned with a slower, intentional rhythm.
Ultimately, it’s a conversation about surrendering not just our worries, but also our ambition, so we can stay present in the life we’re actually living—trusting that both rest and work have their place when they’re led at the right pace.
Season 3 Into - Trail Talk - The Next Stretch Of The Trail
2026/06/12
The From Full Podcast is back for a new season — and this time, we’re taking the trail as it comes.
After a couple years away, I’m sharing what God has been teaching me through changing seasons, unexpected transitions, and learning to stop striving for a perfectly planned life.
In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to follow Jesus through different terrain, to let seasons be seasons, and to trust that God is the constant even when everything else changes.
This season of the podcast may look a little different — less polished, more real, and more like a conversation along the way. Just honest thoughts from everyday life, wherever the trail takes me.
My hope is that these episodes create a little breathing room in your day — a chance to step away from the noise, slow down, and remember that Jesus isn’t just waiting for us at the finish line. He’s walking with us right now.

God always intended on being a part!

Welcome! Why "From Full?"
2023/06/24
Here's the story of what God has been doing in my life, and how He is teaching me to live, love, and work "from full" instead of for it. I've nowhere near perfected it, but day by day I'm finding more freedom and fulfillment with His help! I hope that by sharing this, I will help someone else find encouragement in Him too!

Revival
2023/02/15
The events in Asbury have us reflecting on revival in this episode! The best quote we have heard so far is that revival is just normal people who are hungry for God. Today Brett shares his “river revival” story, and we talk about what happens after personal revival and how it’s necessary to remain in Him to stay revived. It’s not a one time thing. It’s a dying to self and coming alive in Him daily.

Lessons in the Deep!
2023/02/02
We are five months into our faith jump already! Wow, did that go by fast!
We can’t wait to dig deeper this season into discussions about life, relationships, loving Jesus, and what it looks like to follow Him into the “deep” {the place that feels beyond our own comfort zone, but is never beyond Him.}

Our "Crazy" Faith Jump
2022/09/07
We invite you to listen as we (Brett and Daylene) share the testimony of how our faith has transformed rapidly over the past few years,
and what God is asking us to do next,
moving b.e.y.o.n.d the wildest daydreams we once had for our lives,
into the "beyond" and what GOD has planned for us, which actually has very little to do with ourselves.
We are sharing this with everyone we know, as He showed us that most people will fall into 2 categories:
1.) Maybe you need to hear our testimony. We hope it will comfort you through hard times, and inspire your faith to go "beyond" with Him too!
2.) Maybe you want to be a part of this jump with us -- by partnering with us financially so that our basic physical needs can be met, while we walk away from paid work to be able to "make more room for God to move" in and through us, and focus on feeding others spiritually.
Some may even fall into both categories!
And most certainly, we are ALWAYS better together with other believers. Encouraging one another. Praying for one another. Doing life together. Loving God together. Inspiring each other to press on til Jesus makes his comeback (& to also remember when it's hard that Holy Spirit is HERE and NOW to help!) That's what it's all about!

Momentum Vs. Motivation
2022/01/31
Do you ever feel like the things you want to accomplish (even those things for God's Kingdom) are a mountain?
And the more you try to climb the mountain, and fail, the harder it is to muster up motivation to try again?
I have been there!
But God showed me something really amazing recently that I want to share with you!
He showed me how we are working UPSIDE DOWN!
Jesus already gave us the keys to an elevator that can take us directly to the top - to God's presence, in the here and now,
where we can experience those "mountaintop feels" even BEFORE the work has been done and before any goal has been accomplished!
And then - from that fullness - we can work in a different way.
A way that is NOT making mountains out of tasks, by trying to CLIMB up them, bottom-to-top...
but rather - is learning to COAST from top-to-bottom, like Jesus did...
getting into the presence of God, and then humbly coming back down as agents of His, ready to serve and share with all of those exhausted-from-climbing people at the bottom!
So if you're having trouble staying motivated...if you're having trouble trying again or hoping again...I think this message is going to be a breath of fresh air for you. I think this concept is going to be unlike many motivational messages you have heard before. Give a listen to this momentum-message, and tell me if it helps you as much as it helped me when God shared it with me this week!
