Let’s Talk About Sex with Dr. Kelly Casperson & Dr. Peter Castillo
2026/05/14
This conversation with Dr. Kelly Casperson and Dr. Peter Castillo is a masterclass in reclaiming your sexual health, and it is going to change the way you view midlife. We are having an honest, no-shame discussion about why everyone deserves to have good sex and how to move past the pain or silence that often accompanies menopause. Dr. Casperson, a urologist, and Dr. Castillo, a urogynecologist, break down the physiological "cliff" women often feel they’ve fallen off. They explain how hormonal shifts—specifically the decline of testosterone and estrogen—start much earlier than most of us realize, often beginning in our late 30s or early 40s. From the "Spice Girls" of hormones to the power of vaginal estrogen as preventative care, this episode provides the concrete facts you need to advocate for your own well-being. We also explore modern solutions beyond the pharmacy, including laser treatments and red light therapy that restore vaginal tissue health. If you’ve ever been told your symptoms are just a normal part of aging, this episode is your permission to seek a second opinion and prioritize your pleasure. You Need to Listen If You Want To: Understand the physiological changes that impact libido and comfort during perimenopause and menopause.Demystify the roles of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone in brain health, bone density, and sexual response.Learn why having a period isn't a "permission slip" for hormone therapy and why early intervention is key for longevity.Discover non-hormonal options like fractional lasers and photobiomodulation for treating dryness and pain.Gain practical scripts for opening an honest, low-pressure dialogue about sex with your partner. You’re Not Too F***ing Old! for great sex! Where and Why Do We Give Up Our Power?
2025/12/11
This is my last episode of the year (see you in 2026!), and I'm getting real with you about something that's been weighing on me: how and why we give up our power. After a recent incident that left me asking "why didn't I just walk away?", I did some deep reflection on why we still feel compelled to answer pointed questions, keep the peace at all costs, and put ourselves in uncomfortable situations just to avoid rocking the boat. Here's what I know after 56 years: we've been conditioned since youth to not speak up, to keep the peace, and to feel like we owe people our opinions, answers, and presence. But here's the truth: we're too f’ing old for this! This episode isn't about blaming anyone else or burning bridges. It's about recognizing where we're losing our power and understanding why, so we can do things differently moving forward. Whether it's at the holiday table, in friendships, at work, or even in our marriages (yes, I'm referencing that recent New York Magazine article on women quietly quitting their marriages), it's time to reclaim our power! Listen if you want to: Understand why you feel compelled to stay in uncomfortable situations instead of walking awayLearn how to gracefully reclaim your power without burning bridges or blowing up familiesGet a year-end reflection assignment that will help you identify where you've been giving up your powerDiscover why changing relationship dynamics is so hard (and why that's okay)Start 2026 ready to stand up for yourself with grace and balanceJen Says: YNTFO to walk away! This episode is a quick one where I'm sharing what's on my heart as I step into this new year. I'm talking about putting your health first, being present with the people you love, and why leading with love and compassion matters more than ever. Plus, I'm sharing what I learned from hosting my recent event and why I'm feeling like I'm finally back in sync with what I'm meant to do in this world. How to Trust Yourself, Access Your Intuition and Make Powerful Decisions with Dr. Ricci-Jane Adams
2025/11/06
This conversation with Dr. Ricci-Jane Adams completely blew my mind, and I know it's going to do the same for you. We're diving deep into intuitive intelligence, which is basically intuition at its highest, most refined level. Think of it like taking that gut instinct we all have and elevating it to expert status. Ricc-Janei breaks down how to actually access that inner knowing, especially when we're making those big midlife decisions that feel overwhelming. She's giving us the real tools to move from gut instinct to full-blown intuitive mastery, and this is exactly what we need right now. The truth is, we're all running around completely dysregulated, making decisions from a place of stress and fear (guilty!), and wondering why we can't hear our inner wisdom. Ricci-Jane explains why fear is actually intuition's messenger and how our nervous system fitness is the key to unlocking our personal authority. This episode is packed with practical tools like the 4 S's (stillness, silence, solitude, slowness) and her game-changing Micro Method. This is required listening, my friends! You Need to Listen If You Want To: Learn how to distinguish between your intuition and trauma responses when making big decisionsDiscover the 4 S's practice that creates nervous system fitness and opens your intuitive channelsUnderstand why fear is actually your intuition's messenger Master the 7-minute Micro Method that rewires your brain to release subconscious fear programsGive yourself permission to slow down and wait for the right time to act, even in our hustle-obsessed worldDr. Ricci-Jane Adams Says: You’re Not Too F***ing Old! to change your mind about yourself! Best Of: The Courage to Charge What You're Worth with Joanne Bradford, Chief Money Officer
2025/09/04
The gap between what you're charging and what you're worth isn't just about money - it's about respect, boundaries, and the value you place on your own expertise. As our guest Joanne Bradford proves in our final Best Of episode, sometimes the difference between struggling and thriving is simply having the courage to add a zero and see what happens. Your expertise has value. Your time has value. Stop apologizing for that and start getting paid accordingly. Join us as we dive deep into pricing psychology, negotiation strategies, and the mindset shifts needed to finally get paid what you're worth. Joanne shares the revolutionary "add a zero" technique that helped one consultant jump from $10,000 to $85,000 for the same project! Key Takeaways: The importance of asking for higher prices and negotiating.Strategies for pricing and packaging services to get serious commitments from clients. The challenges of service-based businesses, like over-servicing and chasing clients, and the need to set clear boundaries. The significance of understanding your target audience and who is willing to pay for your services, rather than trying to appeal to everyone. The value of having a solid financial plan, being aware of personal finances, and having important documents like wills and trusts in place.Joanne Says: You’re Not Too F***ing Old! Best Of: How to Reclaim Your Pleasure with Gabriella Espinosa
2025/08/28
This Best Of replay features Gabriella Espinosa, a women's empowerment and sexuality coach, and she's about to shatter everything you think you know about pleasure after 40. Gabriella went from high-powered PR executive to burned-out mom who completely lost touch with her sexual self - until perimenopause hit and she realized that woman was still in there, just buried under years of putting everyone else first. Her journey back to herself led her to become a certified midlife empowerment and sexuality coach, and now she's on a mission to help women reclaim what's rightfully ours: our pleasure. If you've ever felt like your libido packed up and left without a forwarding address, or if the thought of intimacy feels more like another item on your to-do list, this conversation will change everything. Gabriella breaks down the science of why women's desire works differently than men's (spoiler: we need those pleasure pathways awakened first), plus she gives practical steps you can start tonight. From the simple joy of wearing pink lipstick to more intimate self-exploration practices, she proves that pleasure truly has no expiration date - and reclaiming it might be the most radical act of self-care you can do. Best Of: From Limitation to Liberation - Self-Healing and Empowerment for Women with Sand Symes
2025/08/21
This Best Of replay features Sand Symes, the only medicine woman I've ever had on the show, and she's about to completely shift how you think about healing, triggers, and your own inner power. Sand's journey from seeing spirits as a child to becoming a modern shamanic practitioner is absolutely captivating, but what will blow your mind is her framework of "sun medicines" and "moon medicines" - and how understanding both can transform every relationship in your life, including the most important one with yourself. If you've ever wondered why certain people trigger you, felt disconnected from your body, or struggled with that voice in your head that says you're not enough, Sand provides answers that will change everything. She shares practical tools you can use tonight (literally in your bed) plus powerful breathing techniques. This conversation goes deep into ancestral healing, finding your true gifts, and why the wisdom you've gained through all your "mistakes" is actually your greatest superpower. Key Takeaways:  • The mirror principle: Why the people who trigger you most are showing you exactly what you need to heal (and it's not what you think)  • Sun and moon medicines: How to identify your true gifts versus the qualities others told you to have - and why your "negative" traits are actually medicine too  • The ancestral connection: How patterns from generations past are still running your life and what you can do about it  • The power of embodied practices: Simple techniques to reconnect with your body and calm your nervous system when life feels overwhelming  • Midnight medicine: A bedtime practice that will transform how you talk to yourself and heal your inner child Sand Says: You’re Not Too F***ing Old! Best Of: Bonnie Wan on The One Question That Can Change Everything
2025/08/14
This Best Of replay features one of my most popular guests, Bonnie Wan, author of "The Life Brief" - and trust me, this conversation will change how you think about creating the life you actually want. Bonnie's a brand strategist who spent decades helping major companies like BMW and Comcast get crystal clear on who they are, but when her own marriage hit rock bottom with three kids under five, she applied those same penetrating questions to her own life. The result? A framework that saved her marriage, transformed her family, and can unlock what you really want too. If you've ever felt stuck in the messiness of midlife, overwhelmed by all the roles you're playing, or afraid to ask yourself what you actually want because the answer might scare you, this episode is for you. Bonnie breaks down her simple but profound process for cutting through the chaos to find your essence - and shares the raw story of how one question in a supermarket parking lot changed everything. Plus, she reveals why the boldest thing we can do in midlife isn't necessarily going bigger, but sometimes stepping off the treadmill entirely. Key Takeaways:  The power of asking "What do I really want?" & how it can cut through years of confusion and fear The life brief framework: A simple 3-step process (get messy, get clear, get active) that creates lasting change Why viewing life in 5-6 year chapters gives you permission to reinvent yourself again and again Why the most courageous act in midlife might be slowing down, not speeding upHow The Life Brief method works for parenting challenges, marriage struggles, and career decisions.Bonnie Says: You’re Not Too F***ing Old!
