Character & integrity (Proverbs 16:12; 20:28; 25:5; 29:12) 6. Justice & governance (Proverbs 14:35; 29:4; 20:8,26,28) 7. Humility & teachability (Proverbs 11:2) 8. Influence & example (Proverbs 29:2; 14:34) 9. Communication (Proverbs 16:21) 10. Discipline & accountability (Proverbs 27:5-6) 11. Compassion & care for people (Proverbs 29:14; 28:16) 12. All Peoples Church, Bangalore began as a small gathering in a home on February 18, 2001. Today, we pause to celebrate and thank God for His incredible goodness and faithfulness over the past twenty-five years. In this special Thanksgiving Service, we reflect on our journey — God’s hand at work through every season, every step of growth, and every life touched. We also look ahead with faith and expectation as we share what we believe God is leading us into spiritually and as a ministry. Together with God and with each other — we can! The teaching on the laying on of hands to minister is one of the foundational, elementary principles of Jesus Christ. Our hands are normal, mortal hands. Nothing special. But when we lay holy hands, with a heart full of faith to minister to people - God does wonderful things! In this sermon we highlight six areas of God’s workings through the laying on of hands as seen in Scripture. #1, The laying on of hands to bless #2, The laying on of hands to minister healing #3, The laying on of hands to help people receive the baptism in the holy spirit #4, The laying on of hands to anoint and appoint #5, The laying on of hands to impart spiritual gifts and anointing #6, The laying on of hands to work miracles God is still working in this manner and we must practice this with boldness, confidence and expectation, as we minster to one another. God can also work through the "indirect touch". The apostle Paul laid hands on cloth and people received healing and deliverance when these cloths were laid on people. So today people can lay hands over a video stream, or over a text message, or over a picture of another person, etc. to minister to them. As God works through the laying on of our hands and does wonderful things, we must ensure that people don’t get the wrong impression that there is something “special” about our hands or about us. We must instruct people keep their focus on God and His Word rather than us becoming the “center of attraction”. This preparation involves sanctification and maturity to Christlikeness. We as the Church are called to be filled with the glory of God and display His glory. This glory is characterized by holiness, supernatural power, unity, and growth, mirroring Christ's example and walking just as He walked, demonstrating sonship glory. In this sermon we present 5 reasons based on which we can be absolutely certain that it is God’s will to heal all, every time, and from any sickness: (1) HIS NATURE, (2) HIS PROMISES, (3) HIS WORKS – AS EXPRESSED THROUGH HIS WORD AND HIS SPIRIT, (4) HIS SON, (5) HIS PROVISION OF REDEMPTION. Since we know it is God’s will to heal, then we know that (A)We do not need to pray “if it be thy will” (B)We can pray with full faith and confidence that we are asking according to His will (C)Just as we invite anyone to come to Jesus to be forgiven, we can also invite anyone to come to Jesus to be healed because both forgiveness and healing we provided through His death on the Cross, and the Cross is for everyone.
