Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. Warwick Schiller is one of today's most popular horsemen and without a doubt the most requested guest I've had. He's done clinics and expos all around the world. The Journey On Podcast is one of the largest out there. His subscriber count is to be envied. He wrote a great book, The 12 Principles of Training. He's also a very open guy who's been public about his struggles and his journey. I was tickled when he commented on one of my posts and it lead to this conversation. There are a lot of things that get falsely attributed to him that we talk about and, for me at least, many things were clarified. We're not nearly as different as one might think. It's funny how that keeps happening.  I'll also say that he was very generous with him time on this. There's lots to listen to getting unpacked. Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. Lee has been on the podcast a couple of times now. What makes this time different? I am so glad you asked. In a word, Mike, Mike makes this one different. Have you ever wondered what kind of man is married to this powerhouse author of the equine world? Lee talks about her new book, "Think. Feel. Ride." which is available for pre-order right now. I was honored to be asked to write a blurb for this book and I can tell you it's a very raw collection of short stories. Lots of wisdom and emotion is revealed in the pages, as only Lee can do.  She's raced sidesaddle at the Calgary Stampede. She's studied dressage in Europe. She's produced memorable ponies for decades and is as comfortable on a traditional bridle horse as she is driving a carriage.  You can find Lee at the following links: https://www.keystoneequine.ca/ https://www.facebook.com/livingwellridingbetter https://www.instagram.com/keystoneequine Special thanks to our sponsor, Death Grip Moustache Wax. Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. Ben Longwell and his wife Natalie own and run True West Horsemanship. They had a base in her native New Zealand and now operate out of their ranch near Pendelton, OR. Ben teaches about traditional Buckaroo Horsemanship and lists the hackamore as his favorite bridle. I feel like I have known Ben for a while, but we actually met face to face for the first time at Ty Evans' Mule Week this past July.  Ben has a wealth of knowledge and is a gifted teacher. He's also a family man and a good dude. Ben exhibits one of my favorite human traits in that there's more to him than you might expect. You see a cowboy, but there's a lot more under the surface. If you have the chance to ride with him, take it. Please enjoy this episode where we talk about horses, life, what being a clinician means for family, and a lot more. Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. Josh Milburn, a leading neuromuscular natural balance dentist. Milburn Equine brings a transformative approach to holistic equine dentistry — focusing on restoring the horse’s mouth to its natural balance, just as it would function in the wild.  This unique, whole-horse method has far-reaching benefits for wellbeing and performance, helping horses move, feel and function at their best. Josh is based in Northwest England. His originial training was as a farrier and he spent many years working exclusively on muddy feet. His interest eventually turned to equine dentistry and he immediately saw the marriage that these two parts of the horse have. Josh’s work supports: ✅ Improved hoof quality & posture ✅ Enhanced proprioception & freer movement ✅ Better gut health & reduced ulcer risk ✅ Fewer issues like shoe loss ✅ Stronger overall athletic performance Josh now works primarily as an equine dentist, practicing natural balance neuromulscular equine dentistry, but does bring the feet and posture into his practice. We talk a lot about the TMJ complex in this episode and just how influenced it is by dentistry and how the rest of the body is then influenced by the TMJ. We do get into changes in the feet that Josh sees and can influence through dentistry.  You can find Josh at the following links: https://www.milburn-equine.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61590004452145 Josh and I will both be presenting at the Masterson Method International Gathering in Stow on the Wold Sept. 4-6.  https://mastersonmethod.com/ While in the UK, I'll also be doing a clinic and an educational event in the north. Steve Halfpenny is a world renowned clinician, known for combining Natural Horsemanship and Classical Dressage into his Light Hands Equitation method. He got into horses as a young man for the most noble reason there is, to get closer to a girl. Before long the bug took and he turned his passion into his living. Steve and his wife, Irena, reside near Adelaid, South Australia at their ranch, Silversand Horsemanship Centre.  They offer clinics there and now have a limited travel schedule. Steve also offers online courses, and has a strong following in the equestrian community for his compassionate and effective training methods. He's highly skilled and I genuinely enjoy his take on things and the metaphors he uses to get his point across. Mark is on the road more often than not, but has gotten more regular on sharing videos on youtube. I'd highly recommend you subscribe to his channel. He's an interesting blend of old school and new. Mark has a background as a competitive ballroom dancer, as well as a bronc stomper. He regularly trick trains horses and other animals to perfom in entertainment shows. He builds his own props, has fully customized his trailer, and is just plain handy. He's the kind of guy you could ask to do just about anything and then just get out of his way. Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. Ivy Starnes is a gaited horse clinician. She starts with relaxation and softness and then gets them gaiting. I find her common sense approach to be refreshing as well as her openness and curiosity. She started out with the idea that you could train a gaited horse to gait on a loose rein in a bitless bridle or simple snaffle bit.  Ivy has studied natural and classical dressage, trick training, and clicker training. She now combines these methods to help strengthen, supple, and improve your horse’s movement and balance. Clicker training has made it so much fun for her and the horses to go out and work together. You can find Ivy at the following links: https://ivyshorses.com/ https://www.facebook.com/IvysHorses https://www.youtube.com/@IvyS https://www.instagram.com/ivys.glide.gait/ Thanks to our sponsor, Death Grip Moustache Wax. Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. These ladies and their antics have crossed my feed a bunch lately and I was intrigued. They are truly enjoying themselves and their horses to the fullest. I am well aware that their moniker and informality may put some of you off, so fair warning if you're easily offended. If you're into fun on horses, laughing your head off, White Claws, and trail riding, then this one is for you! They have a rapidly growing following and the week this is being released leads up to their 2nd annual trail ride event in Florida, Twatchella. So, whether or not you ride this way, I hope you have some friends and spouses that you can be your unabshed, authentic self with and really have some laughs and enjoy your horses. #trailtwats #trailriding #horsebackcamping #funwithhorses You can find the Trail Twats at the following links: https://www.facebook.com/trailtwts https://www.tiktok.com/@trailtwats https://www.etsy.com/shop/4Rranchcreations?ref=shop_profile&listing_id=1817576030&fbclid=IwY2xjawRApVdleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFXb1U5UUtXM1pDQTE1U0ZLc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHrZj7LZJJWSFaO0VOTQlq_5FxITfn-Mu9mXO2ribJ5-dt9hPzBLIu9Dlx47-_aem_reKtQinIzLkHK9DF-EGnwQ&dd_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fl.facebook.com%2F https://www.amazon.com/shop/trailtwats?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_aipsfshop_3V3SZ5P8CY3WAHYC5ZDD&language=en-US&fbclid=IwY2xjawRApUFleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFXb1U5UUtXM1pDQTE1U0ZLc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHgx3Lo1mPMVZq14fX_uRApPKYA2pMuCKdKGrAjfhWB5C3LgozPJvdGyHsOUm_aem_s3b0jsR2TjrrALj5w6Ywcw&ccs_id=6f808af8-b861-4660-8341-3b0c6975cc0e If you are looking for high quality men's grooming products, like moustache waxes, wax removers, balms, bear oils and balms, and even coffee mugs that keep your whiskers out of your beverage, then check out Death Grip Wax and their other grooming products. Marcelo is  the fourth generation of a family of successful ridersHe won various awards early in his show career in Show Jumping, Rodeo Chileno (Chilean cow horse) and Chilean reining. He began his western career in Australia at the age of 15 by starting colts and competing in both youth and open cutting shows. It was there that he learned the “horse language” from Maureen Rogers at Just Crackin´s Quarter Horse Stud.  Marcelo credits the “land down under” for starting his life-long journey of learning natural horsemanship. His unquenching thirst for horse knowledge took him to several clinics from World Class horsemen such as Jeff Johnson (AUS) Chico Ramirez (MX),  Doug Milholland (USA), Jango Salgado (BRA), Joe Heyes (USA), Greg Darnall (USA), Leonardo Feitosa (BRA), and more, but it was in Arizona under Al Dunning's advice and mentoring when he decides to focus on western disciplines, beginning on the Reining sport to start his route as a world class horseman.  He qualified for the 2014 World Equestrian Games in his first year as a pro on Michelita Esperto, a horse bred by his grandfather Manuel Recart and later on, was transitioned to FEI Reining by Marcelo.  To deepen his knowledge in the western and english industries, Marcelo went to improve himself in Europe. In 2017 he returned to Chile with the goal of selecting one purebred Chilean horse and training it to qualify for the 2018 WEG.  2018 was a very memorable year for Marcelo since he qualified for second time to the Chilean National Reining Team, but also because he sat the new Chilean National Reining Record riding the selected Chilean Stud “Lil Rockstar’’ while reaching the #1 position at the early 2018 FEI Reining World Rankings. 2019 Marcelo moved to America and had his first NRHA Earnings in Novice Horse Reining Classes at the 2018 NRBC’s & NRHA Derby riding under the coaching of his former boss, NRHA Milton Dollar Rider, Todd Sommers. Same year, Marcelo and Little Rockstar became KRHA Novice Horse Open year end Champions.  In 2020, Marcelo finished his second year in the US being the Year End Multi-Open Champion at the Central Plains Reining Horse Association and getting certified as a Trainer by his mentor Al Dunning.  2022 was a great year for our program, winning the IALHA Open Masters level 7 in the WORKING EQUITATION as the only masters level in that event on the pure bred Chilean stud Lil’ Rockstar.  He’s also had NRCHA earnings and was crowned the the 2022 season as AZRCHA OPEN HACKAMORE CHAMPION and the 3yo ApHC Cowhorse Incentive Champion and Junior Cowhorse Res. World Champion riding at the 2023 ApHC Worlds Show.  You can find Marcelo Guzman at the following links: https://mghorses.com/ https://www.facebook.com/marceloguzmanr/ You can find his music on spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5NtViWFrXSuKO8u9cpNmGG EDM music under a pseudonym: https://open.spotify.com/search/mushup%20comet

Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. We all come across problems. Most of us don't do anything about it. Robert Eversole got into horses to meet a girl. He's an admitted trailer backing phobic. His anxiety about pulling up to a trailhead and having to park lead to a whole new career for him. If you are looking for resources on trail riding in the USA, you have found your guy. From packing, to overnight sleep systems, to cooking, and even cinch making, we get into it and pick Robert's brain. I met him at Equifest of Kansas and his intelligence and quirkiness fits right. Robert has written 4 books, "The ABCs of Trail Riding and Camping", "Daily Wisdom from the Saddle", "It's a Cinch", and has his 4th coming out soon, dedicated to trailering and maintaining the trailer itself. You can find Robert's website and Facebook at the following links: https://www.trailmeister.com/ https://www.facebook.com/roberttrailmeister.eversole

Liberty Cunningham is only 15 and already traveling the country as one of the most popular entertainment acts on the road. She does trick riding, roman riding, liberty work, bridleless riding, and most recently, aerial silks off of horseback. I've been at a couple of events with her and have been impressed with her ability and skills, but also her as a professional in the industry. We were both recently at an event where a wild winter storm made things very difficult and she handled the challenges better than a few of my adult peers... She tells us how she started, all the things she does, her only accident that ended up in injury, how she trains, her horses and their training, and more. So, listen to both the future and a person in a sector of this wide world of horses that we haven't talked about yet. Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. Tucker Daubs has crossed my news feed more than a few times of late. He's a gun guy and a cowboy in the high dessert country of Colorado. Sometimes those of us in an older generation need to see someone of a younger generation doing the kinds of things we did as kids to give us hope for the future. Tucker is a thoughtful guy with an interesting perspective. He talks about the work that they do, the country and how it influences the work, and the horses. We do also talk about guns and knives and all the fun things he gets to carry and review. Horses, cows, gun and knives! You can't have more fun on a horse with your clothes on. You can find Tucker at the following links: https://fourpeakscattleco.com/ https://www.facebook.com/tucker.daubs https://www.instagram.com/tuckerdaubs https://www.youtube.com/@tuckerdaubs https://www.tiktok.com/@tucker.daubs

Let us know how we're doing. Please understand that we can't reply or see your info. This guy has been coming across my reels a lot lately. He's just riding along with some catchy music and pointing up to some text while he briefly demonstrates it.  The advice is solid, concise, and the music is catchy. He's onto something for sure. Scott Purdum owns/operates Advantage Horsemanship and bills himself as a rider confidence coach and horse behaviorist. He seemed interesting.  What you're going to hear is a couple of like minded guys having a genuinely fun conversation. Turns out we're both into whiskey and had some on hand. If you like candid and don't mind a bad word or serveral, you'll love this one.
