For as long as women have had breasts we’ve been told what to do with them, how to wear them, when to show them, when to hide them and who should have access to them. In order to prioritise the wellbeing of our breasts it’s important we feel in control of our assets so we can advocate for ourselves. In this final episode of Breast Assured, Sarah is joined by Johanna and Brittany from social enterprise Nope Sisters, along with Shannon McAlpine and Shavaughn Ruakere, daughter and close friend respectively of broadcaster Helena McAlpine who lost her life to breast cancer in 2015. Now we know what to look out for, it’s time to learn how to perform self-checks. Specialist breast care nurse Judith Beattie is back to help us learn exactly what to do, when to do it and how often.
