Sexuality has been divorced from love, and we need to bring these two things back together in order to restore harmony to the planet. They have been severed for a reason, and it is not in service to the greater good of humanity. This is way more than just something that would be nice to have - it represents a huge key in the healing and evolution of human relationships, and therefore, humanity at large. This is a message that is so close to my heart, and was emotional for me to record! In this episode, I share how sexuality became distorted when it was separated from love, which led to the creation of two polarized camps: * Sexuality is wrong/bad/shameful and needs to be suppressed, or * Sexuality should be indulged in an anything-goes culture. I speak about an integrated third way that represents a major path forward for relationships and human evolution - when we remember how sacred this exchange is and how it can be one of the deepest and most profound expressions of love, as embodied devotion. I often say this is not a path for the weak-willed, and the truth is that people usually come to this work after they have tried everything else possible. Season 2, Episode 22: At this point, it’s squarely up to us. Nobody is coming to save us. — I am incredibly frustrated (and also a bit mind blown) that people still aren’t getting it that the answer is not to have women and men go back in time to where men are the providers and women are the child bearers. I have never said that this dynamic cannot be part of the new paradigm, but the interplay between men + women is SO much more expansive and integrated than this. In other words, our third way (aka the new paradigm) can absolutely include this for those for whom is it TRUE, but will never work as an enforced set of ‘roles’ upon men and women. People also have to get really honest with themselves as to where some dark misogynistic views are lurking behind the scenes (or in others, proudly at the forefront). This is clearly running within the systems of both men and women, still. I won’t ever ignore the truth of misandry either (and never have). But in this conversation I speak to a view that is mostly on the ‘right’ and even in the ‘truth’ communities (which has gotten so filled with BS that I have no time for most of it anymore). I promise you that neither the right nor the left have the answers on the way forward, nor do they understand integration, inner union, or evolution in the slightest. ‘Hurt people hurt people’ is often true, but not always... Sometimes, hurt people don’t hurt other people. And sometimes, people who haven’t been hurt hurt other people. Why does it matter? It actually matters significantly with how we show up in human relationships and how we approach and respond to harmful, abusive behavior - both in ourselves and in others. I believe understanding the nuance around this and transcending black and white thinking will be key as we co-create and step into the new paradigm of relationships. There are some things I’ve learned along the way in 15 years of assisting people therapeutically and also my personal life, and some of those things blew the lid off of some assumptions I was making about humanity and what true love and care is, what true ‘helping’ is. I want to share these things with you. In this episode, I speak on the concept of ‘separate, purify, and unite’ in alchemy and how this applies to our inner union process, the process of outer union (especially in romantic relationships), and more importantly, how this applies to the bigger interplay between healing the relationship between men + women. On a basic level, we need to keep the polarities separate in order to purify them deeply, and then use the purified versions for union. Think about this in relation to masculine and feminine, and why we need to transmute the wounded versions of each into their highest expression (divine). I also apply this in a very practical way to what I call ‘the dance of union + separation’ which deeply protects us against codependency, providing the ideal template for the alchemical process of relationships as evolutionary portals. I cannot believe this is my first full episode about breathwork!  This practice has completely changed my life, and has healed things that years of therapy were not able to fully heal.   Seven years in, I'm still going strong. I have seen this CUT THE WORK IN HALF (if not much faster) with the individuals and groups that I work with. I am so grateful to my teacher David Elliott. We are living in urgent times, and don't have years to waste anymore.  I believe that breathwork is a vital practice - it brings us to the heart of the matter. The type of breathwork that I teach is a longer style done lying down. The breathing is done all through the mouth.  We breathe for 25-30 minutes with a short rest period at the end to integrate.
