Ian is the Managing Director of Russam and has held this position since 2014. He is a founding board member of Trustees Unlimited and co-founder of Step on Board, arguably the UK’s premier senior employee engagement programme, working with companies such as Barclays, Google, EY and Credit Suisse. He is also a founding Director of Europe’s largest multi-event cycling facility, Cyclopark and sits on the Professional Advisory Board of Charity Works, the UK’s non-profit graduate scheme. Again, he is Chair of Kidscape, the national anti-bullying charity. Ian has a track record of delivering high profile non-executive and executive roles including the boards and CEOs of many household name organizations. Earlier in his career he was Chief Executive of a charity which specializes in the fields of homelessness, addiction, mentoring and international development He tries to keep fit with varying degrees of success and has a long-standing interest in the study of theology, having been a church minister for six years at the start of his career. Above all, Ian enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons. As head of three of the UK’s leading communications brands, BT, EE and Plusnet – as well as BT Sport – Marc’s ultimately responsible for more than 30m customer connections in a business with tech, networks, content and services at its heart. With EE, Marc launched 5G in the UK in 2019. Now he’s driving the rollout of the UK's best next-gen networks: full fibre and 5G, with 20,000+ colleagues across Consumer's customer service contact centres, 550+ retail stores and offices up and down the UK – from Glasgow to Accrington, to Merthyr Tydfil and Plymouth. Marc was appointed CEO of BT’s Consumer Division, in September 2017, since then he's led with the ambition of making the Consumer Division a team that welcomes everyone, makes you feel you belong and can be yourself. Prior to that he was CEO of EE, and chief commercial officer for EE from 2011 to 2015. Before EE, Marc held senior positions at Three UK, and Sega UK and Europe. He is a fan of Liverpool FC, a keen tennis player, enjoys holidays with his wife and children and managing the Under-12 Valley End Cricket team. Marc is also a member of the Great Ormond Street Hospital corporate partnerships board, a trustee of Founders for Schools and investor and mentor to a number of tech start-ups.
