Suffering Produces Perseverance pt.1 w/Khara Jefferson
2022/08/01
Khara Jefferson - "Living with a chronic illness, an autoimmune illness is so difficult. There were many nights when I stayed awake, praying to God, asking "Why me"? I have lived through so much, but it wasn't until I really sat in the silence and listened to God that I realized I needed to keep having faith and His Plan would be revealed to me. The only thing I could do was have faith, because the medical treatments prescribed were not helping me. It was especially difficult for me because I WAS part of the system, as a nurse, as a provider. I realized that developing deep faith requires conscious effort. It's not about our suffering. It's about trusting and knowing there was always a plan for your life. Sometimes, in the darkest hours, it's when we realize that you only have two options: give up or persevere. Giving up was never part of my DNA, so I chose to persevere. Crohn's disease is not easy. I won't tell that to anyone. However, it led me on a wellness journey, and it's now my mission to help others heal their guts to avoid complete reliance on our medical system and fellow men. It takes a strong combination of faith, nutrition, and holistic modalities but the journey is a marathon, not a quick sprint. ------> KEEP IN TOUCH W/KHARA: IG: @kharaj FB: www.facebook.com/KharaJ TikTok: @kharaj_wellness Website: https://www.kajwellness.com/ --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/discoveringme-nw/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/discoveringme-nw/support
