#226 - My #1 Tip To Stick To Your Plan
2026/10/19
If you’re struggling to stick to your meal plan, my #1 tip might surprise you:
Plan what you actually want to eat.
Sometimes when we decide it’s time to lose weight, we create an extreme version of what we think we should be eating. Then, when we can’t stick to it, we assume we need more discipline.
But what if you don’t need a stricter plan? What if you need a more realistic one?
In this episode of The Christian Weight-Loss Podcast, I’m sharing how planning foods you actually enjoy can help you practice the skill of following through—without turning your meal plan into another place where you demand perfection from yourself.
You don’t have to master eating perfectly.
Make a realistic plan. Practice following through. Learn. Adjust. Repeat.
Peaceful, not perfect. ❤️

#225 - Encouragement To Keep Going
2026/10/05
You started excited. You had a plan. You were motivated and ready to go.
But now…the excitement is wearing off. And maybe you’re wondering if you should change your plan, start something new—or just quit altogether.
Friend, nothing has gone wrong. ❤️
In this short encouragement episode, we’re talking about what to do when following your plan isn’t exciting anymore, how to be willing to feel the feelings that come up, and why you don’t have to feel like following through in order to keep going.
And if you’ve already fallen off? You haven’t missed your chance.
Maybe today, not giving up simply looks like loving yourself.
If you want support learning how to plan your meals YOUR way, follow through without perfection, allow urges, and stop overeating, come join us inside The Christian Weight-Loss App.

#224 - Thought or Urge? How To Know What To Do Next
2026/09/28
Have you ever had the thought, “I really want something sweet,” and wondered—is that an urge? Or is it a thought I need to change?
There’s an important difference between renewing your mind and allowing an urge—and knowing the difference can help you stop feeling like you have to talk yourself out of wanting food.
In this episode of The Christian Weight-Loss Podcast, we’re talking about:
What an urge actually is
How your thoughts can create urges
Why urges aren’t only about food
The difference between renewing a thought and allowing an urge
Why you don’t have to convince yourself that you don’t want something
How self-control allows you to experience desire without automatically acting on it
Why sometimes you need to renew a thought, sometimes you need to allow an urge—and sometimes you need to do both
Here’s the simple framework:
Renew the thought.Allow the urge.Choose the action.
And this is exactly why meal planning plays such an important role in stopping overeating. When you decide ahead of time what you’re going to eat, you don’t have to wait until an urge shows up to decide what you want to do.
But there isn’t just one “right” way to meal plan.
Inside the Christian Weight-Loss App, I teach you 4 different ways to plan your meals so you can learn how to Meal Plan YOUR Way™—and create a plan you can actually stick to.
Come join us inside the app and learn how to plan your meals, allow the urges, and follow through—peacefully, not perfectly.

#223 - Am I Giving Myself Grace—or Making Excuses?
2026/09/21
What’s the difference between giving yourself grace…and just making excuses?
One of my clients asked this question on a recent coaching call, and I knew we needed to talk about it.
Because when you’re trying to stop overeating and lose weight, it can be easy to think that being hard on yourself is the same thing as holding yourself accountable.
But grace doesn’t mean your choices don’t matter.
An excuse gets you out of responsibility. Grace frees you from condemnation so you can take responsibility.
In this episode, we’re talking about the difference between judgment, excuses, and grace—and what each one sounds like after you’ve eaten something you didn’t plan.
You’ll learn why curiosity is so much more helpful than condemnation, how grace can actually help you change your behavior, and why you don’t have to beat yourself up in order to hold yourself accountable.
We’ll also look at Titus 2:11–12 and what the Bible teaches us about grace: grace doesn’t leave us where we are. Grace teaches us.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Am I giving myself grace, or am I just letting myself off the hook?” this episode is for you.
You don’t need shame to change. You need truth, grace, and the willingness to keep going.

#222 - When Results Reveal Belief
2026/08/17
Have you ever looked at the scale or your progress and thought, "What happened?"
In this episode, I'm sharing a personal update from my own health journey—but the real lesson isn't about the scale. It's about the beliefs that quietly shape our actions and how to respond with wisdom instead of shame when our results don't match our expectations.
If you've ever felt discouraged by your progress, this episode will help you renew your mind, evaluate your beliefs, and make wise adjustments without falling into the start-over cycle.
In This Episode You'll Learn:
• Why your results often reveal your beliefs. • How to see the scale as feedback instead of a verdict. • The difference between an emotional reaction and a wise adjustment. • Three questions to ask before changing your plan.
Scriptures Mentioned:
Romans 12:2
Proverbs 3:5–6
James 1:5
Proverbs 4:7

#221 - While We Wait
2026/08/10
While We Wait
None of us likes waiting.
We want answers. We want healing. We want clarity. We want to know how the story ends.
But so much of life is lived in the middle—before we know what God is going to do.
In today's episode, I'm sharing from a place of waiting and reflecting on one question that has been anchoring my heart:
When I don't know what God is doing, what do I know about who God is?
As I've been reading through the Bible this year, I've been reminded that God's character never changes. Even when circumstances are difficult, His goodness, faithfulness, compassion, and presence remain the same.
In this episode, we'll talk about:
Why knowing God's character brings peace in uncertain seasons.
The difference between trusting God's heart and understanding His plan.
What Scripture teaches us about God's goodness, faithfulness, mercy, and presence.
How to stay anchored when life feels uncertain.
A simple question to ask yourself while you wait.
Whether you're waiting for healing, direction, restoration, freedom, or an answered prayer, my prayer is that this episode reminds you that you don't have to know the ending to trust the One who is writing the story.

#220 - Meal Planning Tips
2026/08/03
Does meal planning feel overwhelming before you even begin?
Maybe you've thought…
I don't know what to eat.
I don't have time to plan.
What if I don't follow it anyway?
You're not alone.
Instead of giving you a long list of recipes, I'm sharing the mindset shifts and simple strategies that have helped me—and hundreds of women I coach—make meal planning feel peaceful instead of stressful.
In this episode, you'll learn:
• Why meal planning starts with your thoughts—not your grocery list.
• How to think about your future self when you make today's food decisions.
• Why aiming for a B-minus meal plan is often better than trying to create the perfect one.
• What to do when overwhelm hits and you don't know where to start.
• How to use a simple meal template (protein + carb + healthy fat) to make planning easier.
• Why repeating meals can actually help you stay consistent.
Meal planning isn't about controlling food.
It's about reducing decision fatigue so you can keep the promises you made to yourself with more peace and less overwhelm.

#219- The Urge to Get Extreme
2026/07/27
Have you ever noticed that the moment you decide to lose weight, your brain wants to go all in?
No sugar. No carbs. Two workouts a day."I'll be perfect this time."
It feels productive...but what if that urge is actually keeping you stuck?
In this episode, we're talking about why extreme plans often come from guilt, fear, or the desire to "make up for" yesterday—and why they usually lead to burnout instead of lasting change.
I'll also share a personal story about why I choose not to work out on Sundays, even though I often feel the urge to after eating out with family. That one decision has taught me a powerful lesson about trusting the process instead of reacting to uncomfortable emotions.
You'll learn:
• Why your brain craves extreme plans after you've gone off track
• The common thoughts that make extreme decisions feel like wisdom
• The difference between "have-to energy" and "creative energy"
• A simple question to ask before making your next nutrition or fitness decision
• How Galatians 6:9 reminds us that lasting transformation comes through faithful consistency—not frantic effort
If you've ever felt like you're either all in or all out, this episode will encourage you to step off the roller coaster and start building habits you can actually enjoy repeating.

Have you ever felt like peace is waiting on the other side of weight loss?
If you could just lose the weight…finally get in control…finally reach your goal…
Then you’d feel confident, peaceful, and happy.
But what if peace was never found in a smaller body?
In this episode, I’m sharing what God has been showing me through the book of Ecclesiastes and how it applies so powerfully to weight loss.
Ecclesiastes describes life apart from God as “chasing after the wind”—and I couldn’t help but see how many of us do this with weight loss.
We chase thinness believing it will finally give us what we’re looking for.
Or we swing the other direction into indulgence—using food for comfort, relief, and escape.
But neither obsession nor indulgence leads to peace.
True peace and joy are found in walking humbly with God.
In this episode, we talk about:• Why weight loss can quietly become a chase• The two extremes many women swing between: obsession and indulgence• Why peace isn’t found in achievement or pleasure• 4 practical ways to walk humbly with God in your weight-loss journey
If you’ve been feeling exhausted by the constant striving, this episode will encourage you to slow down, reconnect with God, and find peace in the present moment.
You do not need to wait until you’re thinner to walk in peace.
That is available to you right now.

Proving or Hiding? Why We Keep Starting Over
Have you ever noticed how quickly your mind tells you what you're not?
"I'm not disciplined enough.""I'm not consistent enough.""I'm failing.""I'm behind."
In this episode, I'm sharing a pattern I lived in for years during my own weight-loss journey: proving and hiding.
When I believed something was wrong with me, I would either:
• Prove myself by searching for another diet, another cleanse, or another set of rules.
OR
• Hide by avoiding the scale, stopping my meal plan, and overeating to feel better.
What I eventually realized is that both behaviors were fueled by the same belief:
"Something is wrong with me."
In this episode, we'll discuss how these thoughts create emotional pain, why overeating often becomes a solution to that pain, and how to return to a place of safety, truth, and peace with God.
If you've ever felt stuck in the cycle of trying harder, giving up, and starting over again, this episode is for you.
In This Episode You'll Learn:
• The difference between proving and hiding• The hidden belief that often fuels overeating• Why more food rules don't create lasting peace• How shame drives both restriction and overeating• Four practical steps to return to safety when you feel stuck• How God's kindness leads us toward lasting change
Questions From This Episode:
• Am I trying to prove something?• Am I hiding from something?• What am I believing right now?• Is this thought creating peace or panic?• What is my next faithful step?
Scripture Mentioned:
Proverbs 23:7"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."
Romans 8:1"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
Romans 2:4"It is God's kindness that leads us to repentance."

Sometimes when we go looking for weight-loss information, we can leave feeling more confused than when we started.
One person says cut carbs.Another says count macros.Another says intermittent fasting.Another says eat every 2 hours.

“What actually works?”“What should I be doing?”“Why does everyone say something different?”
But losing weight isn’t just about getting more information. It’s about gaining wisdom.
Wisdom helps us slow down, walk with God, and make decisions from peace instead of confusion.
In this episode, we’re talking about 3 ways to gain wisdom on your weight-loss journey and 5 powerful questions to ask yourself after you go off plan so you can stop spiraling in shame and start learning from your experiences.

#215 - Beliefs Fueling Over-eating
2026/06/01
💗 Join The Christian Weight-Loss App:A faith-based community helping women stop overeating, renew their minds, and create lasting change through God’s truth. JOIN HERE
Last week, we talked about how overeating is often a solution.
But today, we’re going deeper.
Because sometimes the emotional pain we’re trying to escape with food is being created by the way we see ourselves.
In this episode, we’re talking about the beliefs quietly fueling the cycle.
The thoughts many women live inside every single day:• “I have no self-control.”• “I always fail.”• “I’m addicted to sugar.”• “I’ll never change.”• “I’m either perfect or failing.”
These beliefs don’t just affect how we feel emotionally. They shape how we show up around food.
In this episode, we discuss:✨ how shame-based thinking increases emotional suffering✨ why identity shapes behavior✨ how the brain gathers evidence for what we believe about ourselves✨ why shame does not create peaceful healing✨ the difference between conviction and condemnation✨ and how renewing the mind creates lasting transformation
One of the most powerful truths in this episode is this:
“Sometimes we aren’t just overeating food. We’re overeating the story we believe about ourselves.”
Friend… your struggle is not your identity.
God does not define you by your coping mechanisms, your hardest moments, or your eating habits.
Scriptures in this episode:• Proverbs 23:7• 2 Corinthians 10:5• 2 Corinthians 5:17• Romans 8:1• Romans 12:2• John 8:32

What if overeating isn’t actually your real problem?
In this episode, we’re talking about something many women have never considered:
👉 What if overeating is actually serving a purpose?

In this episode, we talk about:• Why behavior change alone often fails• How food can become emotional relief• Why overeating may feel protective• The cycle of guilt, restriction, and starting over• Why compassion matters in healing• How God cares about the pain underneath the behavior
This episode is not about excusing overeating. It’s about understanding it so healing can begin.
