It also examines how Judeo-Christian ideas about virtue, duty, and self-government shaped Washington’s understanding of leadership and informed some of his most consequential decisions. Timed for America’s 250th anniversary, the book offers a fresh perspective on how Washington’s example changed the course of world history.
