Ep. 239: Why Do Christian Girls Struggle with Sex? Re-Training the Body & Brain with Jess Seitz, PF-OT
2026/10/02
Many Christian couples reserve sex for marriage, but *how they go about doing that* can have a huge impact on their physical intimacy after they get married. What is a dating couple supposed to do to keep healthy boundaries while not shutting down their natural sexual desire? What about married couples who found out after marriage that their strict attempts at gatekeeping made intimacy more challenging now that there are no longer any "rules"? I'm joined by pelvic floor occupational therapist, Jess Seitz, to discuss this common struggle we see among our Christian clients and the HOPE that is available for both dating and married couples! We talk about ways to honor God's good design of sexual desire while still maintaining faithful dating choices as well as something you can start doing today to heal your hurt if you're married and struggling in this way. This episode is full of helpful discussion and practical tips that we hope encourage listeners!
NOTE: This episode is not appropriate for all audiences as it talks openly and explicitly about sexual concerns and realities.
GUEST BIO: Jess Seitz is a trauma-informed pelvic floor occupational therapist and founder of Pain Free Intimacy, where she works as a vaginismus recovery coach to help women from around the world break free of the pain and frustration of vaginismus to enjoy intimacy the way it was intended.

Ep. 238: Women Have Different Bodies Than Men--and This Matters (A Lot), with guest, Leah Sargeant
2026/09/25
Are women and men equal? Yes. Are they different? Yes. Can both statements be true? Yes! But how that plays out is often where things get sticky. Yet, acknowledging the physical differences between women and men has massive influence on who we are as a culture, a society, family unit, and individuals. In today's episode, Caitlin talks with author, mother, and thinker, Leah Sargeant, about her most recent book, The Dignity of Dependence. Leah shares how our understanding of dependence is highlighted by the female body, but being dependent may not mean what you think it does. During our discussion, we touch on: - feminism and women's dignity - cultural assumptions that have impacted women's healthcare - the role of a contraceptive culture vs reality - the empowering gift of being a woman - the importance about sharing your authentic experience with the world. I really enjoyed chatting with Leah and I think you'll enjoy it too.
GUEST BIO: Leah Sargeant is the author of The Dignity of Dependence, and runs the Substack Other Feminisms. She lives in Maryland with her husband and three kids.

Ep. 228: Is There A Place for Faith in Women's Health?
2026/07/17
Why is there a Christian book about women's health and fertility? What does faith have to do with PAP smears and endometriosis?? Too often, the only time we see religion take part in conversations around reproductive health is when there's controversy or debate. That is not what we're about, or what our book is about. If you're interested in hearing just a hint of why we talk about faith alongside women's health, this episode is for you.

Ep. 225: Making Hard Medical Decisions in the Unknown, with client Hanna
2026/06/26
Hanna prefers holistic medicine and homeopathy to modern medical advancements so when her doctor recommended a laparoscopy for possible endometriosis, she wasn't thrilled. This began a journey of determining whether or not this surgery would be right for her specifically and she shares that honest journey with us in today's podcast. Whether or not you suspect endometriosis, many of us will face some tough medical calls in the midst of the unknown and it's hard to make a decision when we don't know the future. Yet, we have to make a decision one way or another because even choosing not to act is a choice in and of itself. So how do we choose? What things do we consider? How do we find peace with the next step forward? We discuss these and more in today's episode.
NOTE: This episode is appropriate for all audiences.
