2026/10/02
Send us Fan Mail October 1st— not January 1st —is when your next year actually begins. While everyone else spends December scrambling to reinvent themselves overnight, you are going to spend the next 90 days designing her on purpose. In this bonus Living by Design break, Rikki Lee gets practical on how October, November, and December are your winning quarter—a 90-day lab to test, edit, and install the systems that'll actually carry you into 2027, instead of showing up on New Year's Day guessing. ✨ Download the FREE Life Audit Guide here. In this episode, you'll learn: How to audit your life before adding anything How to define what "winning" really means for you (hint: it's 3-5 outcomes you can control, not 40 things or a private jet)How to reverse-engineer a quarterly goal into monthly, weekly, and daily actions that actually land on your calendarWhy you need a "bare maximum threshold" instead of a perfect routine and how to build one you can hit even on your laziest dayHow to turn Q4 into a three-month beta test: October to try, November to edit, December to installHow to build your Winning Quarter Scorecard across body, money, work, life, and faithWhy the goal is to build a life you don't need a vacation from and NOT a life that's exhausting Your That Girl Assignment: Complete your joy/pain/growth life audit, identify your three biggest Q4 outcomes, break each one down from quarter to month to week to day, choose three systems to experiment with before January, and put one thing on your calendar purely because it brings you joy. Who's That Girl: Lona Marie — Trust Yourself, Set Boundaries, and Trust God Over Hustle (ft. My Mom)
2026/09/22
Send us Fan Mail Prefer to watch? Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/maccoZUZHYE?is=wwSpEJyE_sPHjyVr Who is she? Lona Marie is a licensed addiction-recovery therapist and the founder of JoinHer Counseling and the nonprofit JoinHer Healing Haven, where she does restorative and preventative work with girls and women.  How did she become that girl? Lona built her career around a simple distinction: restorative care helps people heal after the fall, preventative care helps them never get there. She's applied the same philosophy at home, raising her daughters to trust themselves and take real risks—including funding and championing Rikki's earliest, shakiest attempts at building something of her own, long before "That Girl Radio" was a real thing. What did she overcome? Motherhood cost Lona a version of herself she had to rebuild—she talks candidly about the moment her old identity "no longer existed" and she became a caretaker "not just by title, but an action word." She also had to learn where someone else's needs stopped and her own started, which is where her boundaries—the real, lived-in kind, not the buzzword—actually came from. What does her blueprint look like? Trust yourself before you look for permission. Hold a boundary without over-explaining it. And when you're working hard and it still feels like you're fighting the current, take that as the sign—the assignment was never to work harder, it was to trust God. Did you enjoy today's episode? Rejection Is Redirection: How to Let Go, Trust God & Make Room for What’s Next
2026/09/15
Send us Fan Mail What if the rejection you’re fighting isn’t the end of the story—but God’s way of redirecting you toward something better? At 18, Rikki Lee stood crying in the parking lot of a used car dealership after being told the $5,000 she had worked and saved wasn’t enough to get what she was looking for. Hours later, after deciding to simply “go across the street,” she drove away in a brand-new car. Six years later, at 24, she finds herself learning the same lesson again. In this deeply personal episode of That Girl Radio, Rikki shares what two very different seasons of rejection have taught her about knowing when to stop proving your worth, release what’s familiar, and trust God enough to explore what He may have waiting for you somewhere else. Because sometimes you aren’t being told you’re not worthy. Your portion simply isn’t there. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why rejection can be an invitation to reconsider where you’re trying to receive your portionHow familiarity can keep you fighting for something you wouldn’t choose with fresh eyesWhy constantly proving your worth may be a sign that it’s time to redirect your energyHow to distinguish holding on from faithfully letting goWhy God isn’t limited by the qualifications, protocols, or hierarchy you’ve created in your mindHow to trust God when you know what you’re leaving but don’t yet know what you’re walking intoWhy making room for what’s next sometimes requires releasing what no longer has room for youYour That Girl Assignment: Ask yourself: What am I fighting so hard to keep that I honestly need to release? Then identify one thing you’re willing to loosen your grip on this week so you can step forward with God in faith. Sometimes rejection isn’t an absolute no. Sometimes it’s simply redirection to exactly what He has for you—and what’s next may be better than you ever imagined. Did you enjoy today's episode? Don’t You Give Up Now: How to find faith when you’re in the middle of it
2026/09/08
Send us Fan Mail What do you do when the excitement runs out, and the calling is still calling? Nobody warns you about the middle. The beginning is easy. Everyone's cheering, the idea feels shiny, motivation shows up on time. But somewhere between starting and finishing, the applause stops, the obstacles pile up, and you're left asking if any of it was ever really going to work. This week, Rikki's living that exact question in real time — mid-move, mid-lease drama, mid-recording-the-episode-twice-because-she-forgot-to-hit-record — and she's not skipping past it for the sake of a tidy episode. In this episode of That Girl Radio, Rikki Lee gets honest about the week that almost broke her focus, and shows you how to get over what she calls "the hurdle of how" — the gap between what God's called you to and the story you've built about how hard it has to be — so you can keep walking through the desert every dreamer has to cross, alone, without losing your nerve. This episode covers motivation versus commitment, faith in the middle of the mess, navigating a calling nobody around you understands, and why the assignment was never as complicated as you made it. In this episode, Rikki talks about: Why motivation is fleeting — and what to trade it for when it runs outThe real reason you keep quitting things before you finish them ("the hurdle of how")How to flip an obstacle into a stepping stone instead of a stop signWhat it actually means to navigate your calling alone without feeling aloneWho to keep close when the season goes quiet and the "beeps" stop comingWhy the middle of your dream — not the finish line — is where the real testimony gets writtenYour That Girl Assignment: Ask yourself what you've given up on — and be honest about why you actually started it in the first place, not why you think you should have. Name the roadblocks standing in the way, then write down one thing you can do this week to restart it. Listen Next: If this one stirred something up, go back to "You're Not Behind"— same thread, different angle: you're not behind, you're just in the part of the story nobody posts about. Introducing the That Girl Blueprint — Your Systems, Signatures, and Standards for the Life You're Building
2026/08/31
Send us Fan Mail You've done the inspiration part. You've got the vision board, the saved routines, the aesthetic bookmarked — and somehow your actual life hasn't moved. That's not a discipline problem. That's a missing infrastructure problem. This episode introduces the That Girl Blueprint — the three-part framework every Living by Design episode builds from here forward. You'll learn: What a "system" actually is, and why it doesn't have to be a beautifully color-coded Notion dashboard to work — the difference between a life that looks organized and one that actually runsHow to find your "signature" — the specific, undeniably-you way you do things, instead of borrowing someone else's morning routine or someone else's definition of a good lifeWhy "standards" are what protect everything you build — and the handful of places (your time, your money, your career, your relationships) yours probably need to show up firstWhy there's no single template for that girl's life, and why your blueprint is supposed to look nothing like anyone else's By the end of this episode, you'll have the language for the framework driving this entire series, and a clear read on which piece— Systems, Signatures, or Standards—needs your attention first. Your assignment before the next episode: ask yourself what your life looks like when no one else is watching. Write down the honest answer. Listen next: Living by Design | How to Do a Life Audit, where we turn this framework into nine questions you can actually answer. Did you enjoy today's episode? You’re Not Behind:How to Stop Comparing Your Life to Everyone Else’s Timeline
2026/08/24
Send us Fan Mail Have you ever looked around and wondered, “Am I behind?” Maybe you're not where you thought you'd be in your career. Maybe you're still waiting for the relationship, the financial breakthrough, the business, the home, or the next big opportunity you thought would have happened by now. And in a world where everyone else's milestones are constantly on display, it's easy to mistake someone else's progress for proof that you're falling behind. But what if you're not behind at all? What if you're simply living a life that doesn't follow someone else's timeline? In this episode of That Girl Radio, Rikki Lee explores why comparison can make us question our progress, rush our decisions, and lose sight of what we actually want. She unpacks the pressure ambitious women face to have their careers, relationships, finances, and lives figured out by a certain age—and why building a meaningful life requires you to stop measuring your journey against everyone else's. You'll hear a deeper conversation about comparison, career and personal growth, life timelines, ambition, purpose, faith, and becoming the woman you're meant to be. In this episode, Rikki talks about: Why feeling "behind" often starts with a timeline you never consciously choseHow social media encourages us to compare our behind-the-scenes to someone else's highlight reelWhy someone else's milestone is not your deadlineHow to want more for your life without believing your current life isn't enoughThe difference between being delayed and being preparedHow to recognize when you're making decisions from vision versus comparisonWhy your waiting season may be developing the skills, character, and capacity you'll need for what's nextHow to create a timeline for your life based on what you actually want—not what everyone else is doingAnd most importantly, Rikki asks a different question: Instead of “Why am I behind?” what if you asked, “What is this season asking me to become?” Because your life isn't a race. There is no universal timeline for success, and you don't have to rush through your current chapter just because someone else is already living theirs. Your timeline is allowed to look different. Your path is allowed to be nonlinear. And you are allowed to become at your own pace. Your That Girl Assignment Take a moment to write down where you currently feel behind. Then ask yourself: According to whom? From there, separate the expectations you've inherited from the life you genuinely want to build. Because before you can stop comparing your life to everyone else's, you have to get clear on what your life is actually supposed to look like. You are not behind. You're becoming. Dear That Girl: You're Not Behind
2026/08/18
Send us Fan Mail 💌 Dear That Girl is a collection of short audio essays and letters written for the woman navigating every season of becoming. Whether you're waiting, healing, rebuilding, dreaming, or simply trying to find your way, each letter is an invitation to pause, reflect, and remember who you are. In the second letter of Dear That Girl, “You’re Not Behind”, Rikki Lee speaks to the woman who has been looking around at everyone else's milestones and quietly wondering if she's falling behind. The career, the relationship, the money, the home, the dream, the timeline—you thought you'd be further along by now. But who told you there was a schedule in the first place? Together we’ll discuss releasing comparison, trusting God's timing, and learning to honor the season you're actually in instead of mourning the one you thought you'd have by now because your story isn't late. It's still being written. Wherever this letter finds you, I hope it finds you well. With love, Rikki Lee P.S. If this letter found you at just the right time, don't keep it to yourself. Just Be | How to Stop Performing and Start Being Yourself
2026/08/10
Send us Fan Mail Last week, Rikki Lee wrote you a letter. In this episode of That Girl Radio, Rikki Lee goes deeper into the message behind Dear That Girl: Just Be and explores the difference between knowing yourself and creating an image of yourself. Because while there’s nothing wrong with developing your personal style, cultivating signatures, or intentionally designing the life you want, your aesthetic should be an expression of your identity—not a replacement for it. This is a conversation about personal identity, self-knowledge, the pressure to be aspirational, and giving yourself permission to evolve. Rikki Lee explores why we can become so attached to the version of ourselves we’ve presented to the world that we forget we’re allowed to change, grow, explore, and become. You’ll be invited to ask yourself: Who am I when nobody is watching? What do I actually like? What parts of my life are genuinely mine—and what parts have I chosen because I thought they would make me more admirable to someone else? Because the goal was never to become the perfect aesthetic. It was to become more of you. And as you build your dream life, develop your taste, and create your signatures, remember: you don't have to become a brand to become That Girl. You just have to become intentional about knowing, loving, and living as the woman God created you to be. Your That Girl Assignment: Spend some time this week doing something you genuinely enjoy without documenting it, sharing it, or turning it into content. Just experience it. Then ask yourself: Who am I when nobody is watching? Did you enjoy today's episode? Whether you're waiting, healing, rebuilding, dreaming, or simply trying to find your way, each letter is an invitation to pause, reflect, and remember who you are. Clear The Room | How to Protect Your Vision From Other People's Opinions
2026/07/28
Send us Fan Mail Too many of us are trying to write the next chapter of our lives with a room full of voices. Your parents have an opinion. Your friends have a suggestion. Social media has a blueprint. Culture has expectations. Fear has a script. Before you know it, you've invited so many people into the writer's room that you can't hear the Author anymore. In this episode of That Girl Radio, Rikki Lee explores the importance of clearing the room and making space for the One who wrote your story before you ever lived it. Because your greatest chapters won't be written by committee—they'll be co-authored with your Creator. This isn't about isolating yourself or rejecting wise counsel. It's about discerning whose voice deserves influence over your vision. Not everyone gets a writing credit in the story God is telling through your life. If you've ever found yourself second-guessing your calling, seeking validation before making a decision, or feeling overwhelmed by everyone else's expectations, this conversation is your invitation to clear the room and return to the vision God gave you. In this episode, we'll discuss: Why too many opinions can cloud your purposeThe difference between wise counsel and unnecessary commentaryHow to know when to protect a vision instead of announcing itWhy comparison causes us to edit the story God is writingCreating space to hear God's voice with greater clarityWhat it looks like to co-author your next chapter with your CreatorDid you enjoy today's episode? The Healing You Can't See: Learning to Heal Invisible Wounds
2026/07/20
Send us Fan Mail Some of the deepest wounds you'll ever carry are the ones no one else can see. They don't show up in a cast or leave visible scars. Instead, they reveal themselves in the way you respond to conflict, how you love, what triggers you, and the stories you tell yourself about who you are. The truth is, many of us are carrying invisible wounds without even realizing it—until life has a way of bringing them to the surface. In this deeply personal episode of That Girl Radio, Rikki Lee shares a recent life-changing experience that forced her to confront pain she could no longer ignore. Through honest reflection, she explores what it means to acknowledge your hurt, grieve the version of yourself you once knew, and trust that God's restoration isn't about returning you to who you were before—it's about transforming you into who you're meant to become. Because healing doesn't begin when the pain disappears. It begins the moment you're honest enough to say, "I'm hurting." Whether you're navigating heartbreak, grief, disappointment, trauma, or simply feeling like life has changed you, this episode is a reminder that your wounds do not define your worth, your story isn't over, and God is still in the business of restoration and transformation. Your Season Is Not Your Identity | How to Stop Letting Your Circumstances Define You
2026/07/13
Send us Fan Mail What if the hardest season of your life isn't who you are, it's simply where you are? It's easy to let a season become your identity. We begin introducing ourselves by our circumstances instead of by who God says we are. "I'm unemployed." "I'm single." "I'm behind." "I'm grieving." "I'm stuck." But what if those aren't identities? What if they're simply chapters? In this episode of That Girl Radio, Rikki Lee explores the difference between your season and your identity, why we so often confuse the two, and how to stop allowing temporary circumstances to define your reality. Whether you're navigating heartbreak, career uncertainty, financial challenges, waiting on answered prayers, or simply feeling like life isn't unfolding according to plan, this episode is a reminder that seasons change, and although they may shape you, they should never define you.  Did you enjoy today's episode? Little Fish, Big Pond | How to actually start taking up space
2026/07/06
Send us Fan Mail Stepping into a new season can make you feel like the smallest fish in the pond. The new job. The new city. The new business. The new room where everyone seems more experienced, more connected, or more accomplished than you. But what if you've been looking at it all wrong? In this episode of That Girl Radio, Rikki Lee challenges the idea that being the "little fish" is something to fear. Instead, she explores how every uncomfortable season, every setback, and every challenge is preparing you for something much bigger than the pond you're currently swimming in. Because little fish don't stay little forever. The pressure, the uncertainty, the lessons, and even the failures are building your fins—strengthening your character, increasing your capacity, and preparing you to thrive in an ocean God has already called you to. If you've been questioning whether you're qualified, capable, or even in the right room, this episode is your reminder that growth isn't meant to feel comfortable. Did you enjoy today's episode?
