EP. 258: Salty Bitches: How a Group Chat Became a Business
2026/10/20
How many of us have that one group chat? The one that's seen the breakups, the babies, the layoffs, the birthdays, and honestly keeps you sane?
Now imagine that group chat became a business.
In this episode, returning guest Revekka Balancier and her best friend of 30+ years, Diana, share the story behind Salty Bitches. It's a gourmet salt company for cocktails and mocktails, and it started with a 2021 girls' trip to Fort Myers and a poem Revekka wrote on the beach. That poem became the group text name. A few years later, during the Abundance Activation inside Magnetic Mastermind, it became a "friendship company" with a purpose: giving women a reason to gather.
Revekka, Diana, and I talk about what happened when no salt company would work with them, so they started making their own. Diana explains how her skills as a sales tax auditor balance Revekka's marketing-agency optimism. They share the expensive first-box lesson that taught them to stop listening to "you should." We also get into why a bold brand name gets pushback and still builds fierce loyalty.
This one is for every woman who's been told her friendships take a back seat once she has a career, a partner, or kids. Your girls aren't going anywhere.
In this episode:
How a girls' trip, a poem, and a group text became Salty Bitches The rejection that led them to create their own signature salts, starting with serrano, cucumber, and lime How different skill sets in a friend group translate into a co-founding team The 100-box mistake and the best business advice Diana got Pushback on the name, from Facebook to Venmo, and why they kept it What's inside each bi-monthly box, including their one-year anniversary La Storyteller Día de Muertos box Why women need women, and how Erika hit her own reset button Connect with Salty Bitches:

EP. 257: Why Strangers Support You More Than the People You Know
2026/10/13
You posted. Crickets from your friends. But a complete stranger slid into your DMs like "this is exactly what I needed."
Sound familiar?
This episode is not about talking badly about the people in your life. It's about understanding why this happens — so you can stop letting the fear of what they think block your magic from reaching the people who actually need it.
Because here's the truth: there is nothing wrong with you for caring what people think. Your brain is literally wired for it. But you cannot wait for the people around you to validate you before you show up.
In this episode I cover:
Why humans are neurologically wired to care what people think — and why that's not a weakness
The real reason the people closest to you aren't your biggest supporters (yet)
Why strangers become clients before your family and friends do
How I went from a food blogger to a yoga instructor to a business coach — and what each reinvention taught me about showing up before you feel ready
The three reasons your circle isn't cheering you on — and why that's okay
Why the first person you have to sell on your dream is yourself
The people whose lives you are meant to change deserve you showing up.

EP. 256: From 800 to 3,000 Followers (and Her First Client) in 2 Months with Liz
2026/09/29
Liz almost didn't share her story. She doubted she had anything valuable to say — even though she'd built a six-figure career from scratch, pivoted industries with zero experience, and completely rebuilt her relationship with herself along the way.
In this episode, Liz opens up about the inner journey that changed everything — and how that same self-belief became the foundation for her personal brand, her first viral series, and her first paying client online.
We get into:
– Why she spent years thinking her story wasn't "proof" enough to share
– The mindset shift that took her from consuming endless self-development content to actually creating her own
– How her "Unfair Advantage" series went viral — and revealed a real gap in the market for women like her
– Going from ~800 to over 3,000 followers in about two months
– How she made her first money online without feeling salesy — a week and a half after our Paid-Before-Perfect training
– Why community and accountability were the real difference-makers (not just strategy)
– "Self-love is the portal" — the philosophy that anchors how she shows up now, even on the hard days
Whether you're sitting on a story you're scared to tell, or you know you're meant for more but doubt you have anything valuable to offer — this one's for you.

EP. 255: Why the Content That Worked in 2022 Flops Today (and What Works in 2026)
2026/09/22
You're not bad at this. The rules just changed — and nobody handed you the new ones.
If you've been creating content and watching it flop — or you repost something that used to crush and now it barely gets seen — this episode is for you. Erika breaks down exactly what shifted between 2022 and 2026, and why the way you create content now matters more than anything else.
Inside this episode:
– Why the market isn't oversaturated (the real problem is your audience's fried attention span)
– The shift from social media to interest-based media — and why your content is now being shown to total strangers
– The one question that fixes 90% of your content: "Why would someone who doesn't know me care about this?"
– What good content actually requires in 2026: context, curiosity, and the right format
– Why the Canva graphic that used to get 200 likes now gets 10 — and what to do instead
– Why this is especially good news if you already have a business or expertise (your gap isn't your knowledge — it's your format and delivery)

EP. 254: How to Stop Comparing Yourself Online and Start Showing Up
2026/09/15
Ever opened the app excited to post — then saw someone else's win and quietly closed it without sharing? That's comparison. And it's stopping more women from building their personal brand than a lack of talent ever will.
In this episode, Erika breaks down why comparison is biological (not a character flaw), and the reframe that changes everything: comparison isn't a wound — it's data pointing you toward what you actually want.
She also dismantles the three lies comparison tells you:
– "They're the expert, not me" (spoiler: in the age of AI, your lived experience beats expertise)
– "Their life is interesting, mine's boring" (you're comparing your behind-the-scenes to their highlight reel)
– "I'm too late, it's saturated" (97% of people only watch — the room is nearly empty)
Plus: the Spotlight shift that makes posting feel easy, how to break the scroll-compare-shrink loop, and why someone else's win is proof yours is coming.

EP. 253: Manifest Your Dream Life: The Mindset AND the Strategy
2026/09/08
You did everything right.
The degree. The job everyone told you to want. The boxes, checked.
And still — there's that quiet voice asking, okay… when does the good part start?
Here's the truth: we never stop evolving. New desires aren't a sign you're ungrateful. They're a sign you're growing.
In this episode, I'm taking you inside my actual manifestation process — the mindset AND the strategy. Because the woo without the work is a wish… but the work without the belief burns you out. You need both.
We get into:
What manifestation actually is (spoiler: the universe is not Amazon — it's not delivering your dream life to your couch)
The four moves: decide, think, feel, and become the version of you who already has it
Why your thoughts and feelings are either speeding up your manifestation or quietly blocking it
A future-self journaling exercise you can do tonight (I walk you through it with my real example)
The one action that attracted opportunities I didn't even know were possible — the New York Times, Harvard, Telemundo, CNN — all without chasing
Why building a personal brand is the biggest manifestation hack of 2026
You don't manifest what you want. You manifest who you're being.
Ready to take the action?

EP. 252: How to Come Up With Content Ideas (Even If You Think Your Life Is Boring)
2026/08/31
"I don't know what to post" is the number one thing Erika hears — from clients, from strangers, from women who know they want to show up but freeze at the blank screen. In this episode, she breaks down exactly how to come up with content ideas at every stage, so you never have to stare at an empty screen again.
Whether you're brand new and haven't posted a thing, you're posting but can't stay consistent, or you already have an offer and want your content to actually lead somewhere — there's a path for you here.
In this episode:
Why you don't need to be an expert to create content people find valuable
The "document, don't create" approach for when you're just starting out
Creating content for your younger self — and why other people find it so valuable
How to use your feed as evidence of what's already working (and recreate it the right way)
Using your DMs, comments, and stories to find endless ideas
How to build content pillars from the life you're already living
Selfish vs. selfless content — the small reframe that makes your life "interesting"
How to work backwards from your offer using the bullseye method
3 plug-and-play hooks you can post today, tomorrow, or next week
If you're tired of overcomplicating this, this episode is your permission slip to keep it simple and just start.

EP. 251: How to Make Money Online Before You Feel Ready
2026/08/25
Is it actually possible to make money online — or is it too late, too crowded, and only for people with huge followings?
In this mini-training episode (voted on by you over on Instagram — 70% wanted to know how to turn content into customers), I'm pulling back the curtain on the exact strategy behind my entire business: your Paid Before Perfect offer.
Since 2020, 100% of my business has come from content. And in this episode, I'm sharing the same training I just walked my clients through — the one that already helped one of them make her first offer she never would've made otherwise.
We get into a statistic that'll change how you see the "saturated" market forever, why brand deals and affiliate links aren't the foundation you think they are, and the simple math that proves why one call beats a hundred low-ticket sales.
This one leans into the business side — stick with me, because if you've ever wanted to make money from your content, this is the transparency you've been looking for.
In this episode:
The stat that proves it's not too late (97% / 3% / less than 1%)
Why people buy from people — and why that someone gets to be you
What a Paid Before Perfect offer actually is (and why it needs no sales page or funnel)
The honest truth about brand deals and affiliate links (do the math with me)
Why every post is virtual real estate — and what deserves that space
The low-ticket trap: the $2,000 math that changes everything
How I made $65K in a month after a course that burned me out and made less
Letting your audience tell you what they want (like Jessi Jean's Gap Challenge)
Ready for the how? We covered why Paid Before Perfect works — but identifying your exact offer and learning to sell it is what we do together inside Courage Driven Latina. I have two spots open right now, and if you grab one, you'll get a bonus one-on-one call with me. Claim yours at couragedrivenlatina.com.

EP. 250: I Almost Quit My Business — Here's What Happened When I Didn't
2026/08/20
At the end of 2025, I was sitting with my expenses, looking at my numbers, and quietly wondering if it was time to close the chapter on this business and go find a job.
My content wasn't performing. Brand deals had dried up. Speaking engagements were gone. And if I'm being honest — I had stopped showing up.
This episode is the behind-the-scenes story of what happened when I decided to go all in on content one more time. No guarantees. No overnight success. Just a decision to show up consistently for six months and see what happened.
And what happened changed everything.
In this episode I share:
Why my business nearly fell apart at the end of 2025 — and what I did about it The mindset shift that made the biggest difference in my content The types of content that actually started working for me Why follower count isn't the flex we think it is The real results after 7-8 months of showing up consistently — including followers gained, opportunities that came inbound, and the actual numbers How cutting expenses gave me more breathing room than any launch ever did Why you are the niche — and what that actually means in practice If you've ever felt like nobody cares what you have to say anymore, this episode is for you.
If you've been quietly thinking about quitting, this episode is for you.
If you're ready to go all in but don't know where to start — keep listening.
Want to steal my content strategy?
I created a free training on the three mistakes that are keeping your content invisible — and everything I changed that led to these results.

EP. 249: La Chancla Was Never Ours — Leslie Priscilla on Healing Our Families Through Nonviolent Parenting
2026/08/11
La chancla. El cinto. La cuchara.
There are memes about them. People wear them like a badge of honor. Like it's just part of who we are.
But what if it was never ours to begin with?
In this episode, I sit down with Leslie Priscilla — founder of Latinx Parenting, certified parent coach with over 17 years of experience, and author of the brand new book CHANCLA: Healing Our Family, Ourselves, and Our Culture Through Nonviolent Parenting. This conversation broke my brain in the best way possible. We go deep into the history behind chancla culture, how colonization shaped the way we raise our children, and what it actually looks like to break the cycle — for our kids and for ourselves.
I also share something personal I wasn't planning to. Something I think a lot of you will recognize in your own bodies.
In this episode we cover:
What chancla culture is actually rooted in — and why it was never our culture to begin with How colonization shows up in the way we discipline our kids What adult supremacy is and how it shows up in Latine families The needs underneath our children's behavior — and our own What decolonial nonviolent parenting actually looks like in real life Why healing our children starts with healing ourselves Co-parenting, blended families, and keeping kids at the center Pre-order Leslie's book CHANCLA 👇

EP. 248: This One Thing Dictates Your Entire Life (And No One Talks About It)
2026/08/04
Re-released episode from November 2025. I've been talking about personal branding on my Instagram, and something that I noticed is that your personal brand and your self-concept go hand in hand. And as Latinas, our self-concept can be all over the place. We were told to do all the things, get all the degrees, and be as successful as possible, but we were also told to be quiet and be humble. That doesn't make sense, does it?
Our self-concept dictates our entire lives - and nobody talks about it! Our self-concept decides if we are worthy of taking action, accepting incredible opportunities, and putting ourselves out there. I have a ton of clients who rejected their manifestations because they're self-concept was so low. But as a business owner, a content creator, or even just as a person, we cannot keep walking around with a low self-concept. We can change it for the better.
In this week's episode, I want to talk to you about the difference between your personal brand and your self-concept, and how your self-concept is the direct reflection and the direct mirror of your life. You can have an amazing personal brand, attract incredible opportunities, and still feel like you're not worthy of what you've manifested. Some of my clients have even gone so far as to reject the very things they were manifesting because of their low self-concept. It's ok, we've all been there. But now, it's time to take our lives into our own hands and raise our self-concept to match our manifestations.

EP. 247: The Fear of Being Seen Isn't Insecurity — It's Cultural Conditioning
2026/07/28
Re-released episode from January 2026. Many of my CDL clients are currently working on their fear of being seen. And as we talk through their feelings, I'm noticing that everyone is saying the same thing. This fear didn't come from them; someone told them to be afraid of being seen.
Now, it's not always in those words. But if you were being told that calladita te ves mas bonita as a kid, you're going to remember that during a brainstorming meeting at work and keep your ideas to yourself. And the blame for that is not necessarily on our parents - the blame is on the culture that perpetuates misogyny in our everyday lives. It's time to let go of what doesn't work for us and start taking our voices back.
In this week's episode, we're talking about the fear of being seen and how it isn't insecurity - it's cultural conditioning. I don't think that you're actually insecure; I think you're holding on to cultural values that are detrimental to the badass c******a you're trying to become. Let's talk about why these values don't work for us, and how to let them go so that you can live your most amazing life!

EP. 246: Influence with Impact: How to Build a Brand That Pays You and Feels Like You with Lissette Calveiro
2026/07/21
Re-released episode from August 2025. The fear of being seen stops us from going after our dreams. But the fear of being seen as an "influencer" is preventing you from making an impact, which is what you really want to do. Our favorite online personalities make an impact on us. It's time to let go of your fear and build the online business you'll be proud of.
Lissette Calveiro is a Latina entrepreneur, content creator, and business coach for influencers and personal brands navigating the creator economy with intention. As the founder of Influence With Impact®, she leads a creator-first consultancy offering business coaching, talent management, and strategic education to help creators turn influence into income without losing the human behind the brand. With over a decade in the creator economy, Lissette is also a seasoned influencer marketing expert who has managed more than $5 million in brand partnerships across CPG, finance, lifestyle, and tech. She has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, and Fortune, and is a speaker who brings real talk and real strategy to every stage, including VidCon, Instagram Creator Week, Create and Cultivate, Google HQ, and the White House's first Creator Economy Summit. She is known for bridging the gap between creators and the industry, bringing transparency to monetization, negotiation, and sustainable growth. Offline, you'll find her sipping iced matcha, singing with her daughter, starting another DIY home project, or being loud (on purpose) about the issues that matter to her community.
In this week's episode, Lissette tells us all about how she built her online business with influence and impact. At first, she was afraid of starting her own business. She even once claimed that she's never been a business owner. But she saw a lack of creator advocacy in influencing marketing spaces and wanted to change that. Now she's sharing everything she knows about influencer marketing - including contract details, creator rates, and how to get started as a new creator. Tune in to hear all this and more, now!

EP. 245: The BFF Method: Manifest Anything by Rewiring Your Mind
2026/07/15
Re-released episode from May 2025. Over the last six years, I've really been getting into the science of manifesting. Because it is a science! Manifesting has everything to do with neuroplasticity, neuroscience, and epigenetics. There's a reason I created my dream life when I left my tech job. And there's one specific method of manifesting that always works for me, so I'm going to share it with you today.
It's called the BFF method, and it's called the BFF method because this manifestation method is about to be your best friend forever. Using this method in your daily life is going to teach you how to be the creator of your life rather than feeling like life is happening to you instead of with you.
In this week's episode, we're taking control of our lives with the BFF method. I'm going to share real-life examples of how I've used the BFF methods to manifest some of the most amazing moments in my career. And if I can do it, you can do it too!

EP. 244: Giving Myself Permission to Pause (And Why You Should Too)
2026/07/09
Three years. Over 243 episodes. Not a single week missed.
Until now.
In this episode, I'm getting real with you about where I am in my business, why I'm taking a break from the podcast this July, and what's been happening behind the scenes — including walking away from a program that made me nearly a million dollars to build something that feels more aligned with who I'm becoming.
Because here's the truth: you can do everything you want to do. Just not all at once.
This episode is a reminder that rest is not the opposite of growth. Sometimes the most courageous thing you can do is give yourself permission to pause.
In this episode I share:
Why I'm taking a break from recording new episodes this July The pivot I've been making in my business and what that's really looked like What I've been building behind the scenes for my clients Why pausing is sometimes the most aligned thing you can do While I'm gone, grab the free training 👇
I hosted a free training last month on my $1.3 million content strategy — and the feedback blew me away. People told me it completely changed the way they think about content.
In this training you'll learn:
The 3 most common mistakes keeping your content invisible What's actually working in the creator economy right now How to build a personal brand that attracts opportunities organically
