Are you overwhelmed by doing everything in your business but not yet ready to hire an employee or build a traditional team?
In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, Angela talks with Brittany Braswell, entrepreneur, podcast host, registered dietitian, and founder of The Intern Accelerator, about how small business owners can delegate and scale with the support of interns.
With the holiday season approaching, this conversation is an important reminder that you don’t have to carry every business and family responsibility alone. Brittany shares how she built an internship program that supported her through maternity leave, holiday breaks, family vacations, and the everyday demands of growing a business.
You’ll learn how to determine whether an internship program is right for your business, identify tasks you can delegate, and begin creating support without waiting for perfect systems or a large hiring budget.
In this episode, we discuss:
The missing step between doing everything yourself and hiring a traditional teamHow to know whether your business is ready for an internWhy mom entrepreneurs often struggle to delegateHow to identify repeatable tasks that don’t require your unique expertiseBusiness tasks interns can support beyond social media and marketingHow interns can improve your client experienceSimple systems and tools for managing an internship programWhere to find interns who align with your mission and valuesHow to train interns without having perfectly polished SOPsThe difference between delegating and micromanagingWhy leadership requires clear expectations, communication, and feedbackHow an internship can create a pathway to a future paid team memberThe first step to take if you know you need more supportBrittany also reminds us that while doing a task ourselves may feel faster in the moment, it isn’t faster if we have to keep doing it forever.

262. How to Turn Your Expertise Into a High-Value Coaching Business with Andrea Engstrom
2026/09/07
Send us Fan Mail
What if building a successful business didn’t require sacrificing the life you wanted the business to create?
In this Labor Day episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, Angela sits down with Andrea Engstrom, founder of BOLD Mastermind, author of Bold Confidence, and a seven-figure business coach who helps women turn their knowledge and experience into profitable, freedom-focused coaching businesses.
Andrea generated more than $100,000 in her first 90 days as a coach and went on to build a seven-figure coaching company. But her approach isn’t about working harder or filling every available hour. It’s about clarity, confidence, intentional growth, and creating a business that supports the life you actually want.
In this conversation, Andrea shares how she uses the Japanese concept of ikigai — the intersection of what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for — to help women uncover expertise they may not even realize is valuable.
Angela and Andrea also explore what it takes to stand out in a crowded coaching industry, why your personal story can become one of your greatest business advantages, and how to grow an audience and generate leads organically without depending on paid advertising.
In This Episode, You’ll Learn:
How Andrea generated $100K in her first 90 days as a coachHow to identify expertise you can turn into a profitable coaching offerHow ikigai can help you find the intersection of purpose, expertise, market demand, and incomeWhy you may be overlooking skills and experiences other people would gladly pay to learnWhy you don't have to be the world's leading expert to help someone — sometimes you only need to be a chapter aheadWhy a crowded coaching market can actually be proof that an opportunity existsHow your story, authenticity, and lived experience can differentiate your businessHow Andrea uses relationships, referrals, networking, and community to grow organicallyHow to create valuable engagement in other people's communities without constantly self-promotingWhy group coaching can create greater leverage and freedom than relying exclusively on one-to-one servicesHow to identify your highest-value, income-generating activities and begin delegating the restWhy perfectionism and busywork may be taking time away from the activities that actually grow your businessHow Andrea thinks about systems, consistency, and becoming the person capable of creating the results you wantWhy building your business around your personal goals can lead to greater freedom and sustainabilityA Powerful Reminder for Mom Entrepreneurs
One of Andrea's core philosophies is to begin with your personal goals: What do you want your life to look like? Then create a business that aligns with that life — rather than working yourself into the ground in pursuit of success.
That message feels particularly meaningful for a Labor Day episode.
As moms and entrepreneurs, it’s easy to become so focused on everything we need to accomplish that we forget why we wanted greater freedom in the first place.
This episode is your invitation to reconsider what success looks like for you.

261. How Podcast Guesting Can Grow Your Business Without a Huge Audience with Jessica Rhodes, Founder of Interview Connections
2026/08/31
Send us Fan Mail
What if growing your visibility didn’t require posting more, chasing followers, or spending days away from your family at networking events?
In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, I’m joined by Jessica Rhodes, founder and CEO of Interview Connections, the world’s first podcast booking agency. Jessica launched Interview Connections in 2013 after beginning her entrepreneurial journey with a desire to create a career that allowed her to be home with her children.
We’re talking about podcast guesting as a visibility and business growth strategy for mom entrepreneurs, coaches, and service-based business owners—and why you don’t need a massive audience to make it work.
Jessica shares how podcast interviews can help you establish authority, communicate your unique story, build genuine relationships, create reusable content, and ultimately attract the right clients. We also talk about how to position yourself as an expert when you’re still questioning whether you’re “expert enough,” what podcast hosts actually want from potential guests, and why a great podcast one-sheet can make it much easier for a host to say yes.
One of my favorite parts of our conversation is Jessica’s reminder to approach podcasting—and business in general—transformationally rather than transactionally. Your success isn’t only about downloads, follower counts, or whether someone immediately becomes a client. The relationship you build with the host, the confidence you develop in your message, and the opportunities that grow from one genuine conversation can be even more valuable.
In this episode, we talk about:
Why podcast guesting is especially powerful for busy mom entrepreneurs How to use podcast interviews to increase visibility and establish authority Why you don’t need a huge audience to attract dream clients How to position yourself as a valuable podcast guest and expert What podcast hosts really look for when considering guests Why every potential guest should create a podcast one-sheet How to repurpose podcast interviews into social media, email marketing, sales content, and more Why the podcast host may be one of the most valuable connections you make The difference between transactional and transformational networking Why relationships matter more than vanity metrics The realities of balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship Jessica’s “secret weapon” for managing stress and expanding her capacity through nervous system regulation One simple action you can take this week to start becoming more visible through podcast guesting Jessica also shares why podcasting can be such an accessible visibility strategy for moms who don’t necessarily have the time or capacity for conferences, travel, and constant in-person networking. A podcast interview can happen in less than an hour, while the conversation can continue reaching listeners for years.
Reflection Question
Where are you trying to create more visibility, growth, or opportunity in your business—and what might change if you focused less on doing more and more on creating deeper, more meaningful connections?

259. How Ashley Gross Helps Moms and Business Owners Reclaim Their Time & Automate Their Businesses
2026/08/11
Send us Fan Mail
What if AI didn't have to mean doing more—but could actually help you do less?
In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, I'm talking with Ashley Gross, Founder and CEO of AI Workforce Alliance, about how mom entrepreneurs can use AI as a partner to reclaim their time, reduce mental load, and create more space for the work—and people—that matter most.
And if you don't consider yourself "techy," this conversation is especially for you.
Ashley wasn't always an AI expert. In fact, she shares how becoming a mom and unexpectedly facing life without maternity leave pushed her to look for a better way to work. That search eventually led her to AI and a completely different approach to building systems in both business and life.
We talk about moving beyond the all-or-nothing conversation around AI and instead asking a much more useful question: Where could AI make my life easier?
Ashley shares practical examples you can start thinking about right away—from triaging your inbox and organizing your calendar to automating client onboarding, reducing family mental load, planning activities with your kids, and even making those never-ending family to-do lists easier to manage.
In this episode, you'll learn:
✨ Why you don't need to be "technical" to start using AI
✨ How to identify repetitive and mentally draining tasks that could be automated
✨ Practical ways to use AI for your inbox, calendar, client onboarding, and weekly planning
✨ How Ashley uses AI in motherhood and family life—not just business
✨ Why AI should amplify what's already working instead of trying to fix a broken process
✨ How automation can reduce the cognitive load so many moms carry
✨ Why Ashley doesn't believe AI will eliminate the need for humans—and where the human experience still matters
✨ How to stop chasing every new AI tool and instead build a tech stack around the problems you actually need to solve
One of my favorite reminders from this conversation is that we don't get a medal for doing everything the hard way.
AI doesn't have to replace your creativity, expertise, intuition, or relationships. Used intentionally, it can simply become another tool that helps you spend less time on the repetitive work and more time being the business owner—and mom—you want to be.
About Ashley Gross
Ashley Gross is the Founder and CEO of AI Workforce Alliance, where she helps businesses identify where and how to implement AI into their workflows so technology strengthens human capabilities rather than replacing them.
Ashley is also the author of The AI Work Week and shares resources and education to help people approach AI in practical, strategic ways.

258. The Recipe for Building a Thriving Family Business Without Burnout with Sara and Vinnie Cann, Co-Founders of Birdie's Batch
2026/08/03
Send us Fan Mail
What does it really take to build a successful product-based business with family—and grow it without losing sight of why you started?
In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, I’m joined by Sara and Vinnie Cann, the mother-daughter co-founders of Birdie’s Batch, a family-run food business built around locally sourced ingredients, seasonal products, family recipes, and a whole lot of heart.
Sara and Vinnie started Birdie’s Batch in 2020 after Sara was laid off from her career in the restaurant industry. What began as an opportunity to sell homemade products at local farmers markets grew into a loyal community, an online business, award-winning marmalades, and national recognition—including a feature in The New York Times that increased their sales by 264%.
But what I especially loved about this conversation is that their story isn't simply about growing a business. It's about figuring out what kind of business—and life—you actually want to build.
We talk about working together as mother and daughter, listening to your customers, overcoming the challenges of shipping food products, using storytelling to differentiate your brand, navigating motherhood while running a business, and why sustainable growth doesn't always mean doing more.
Sara also opens up about how a major health challenge changed her relationship with work and helped her redefine success. Instead of continuing to push toward bigger numbers and a seven-day workweek, she began creating a business model that better supported her health, motherhood, and life.
In this episode, we talk about:
✨ Turning family recipes into a product-based business
✨ Starting a food business from home without a huge investment
✨ Building a loyal customer base through farmers markets
✨ Listening to your customers to discover new products and opportunities
✨ Making a mother-daughter business partnership work
✨ Treating failures as data instead of reasons to quit
✨ Building around your actual capacity as a mom and entrepreneur
✨ Overcoming shipping and fulfillment challenges
✨ What happened when The New York Times featured Birdie’s Batch
✨ Using storytelling and community to build customer loyalty
✨ Why business growth doesn't always mean doing more
✨ Redefining success and creating a more sustainable business
✨ Starting before you have the perfect plan
One of my favorite reminders from this conversation is that growth doesn't necessarily mean doing more. Sometimes growth means figuring out what's already working, getting better at it, and letting go of what no longer supports the business or life you're trying to create.
If you're a mom entrepreneur building a product-based business—or you've been sitting on an idea because you don't have everything figured out yet—I think you'll walk away from this conversation feeling encouraged to start where you are, stay flexible, and build success on your own terms.
