striving vs. settling and how i’m finding a balance
2026/10/14
EP 111. This is something that’s come up in my journaling, in conversations with friends, and in therapy so much recently, so I wanted to bring it to the podcast. Throughout this year I feel I’ve fluctuated between mindsets of striving and settling and it’s caused me to question and try to understand what those two words mean to me, how each of them feel, and what the potential pros and cons are of living in one extreme or the other. Ultimately, I’ve been trying to find a balanced between striving and settling and this is what I’ve discovered and learned along the way. motherhood, moving to france, and finding what truly matters with Kim Wheeler
2026/10/08
EP 110. Today I'm joined by Kim Wheeler, a writer, a mother, and the host of Coucou podcast where she unpacks her experience building a life in the South of France as an American, and questions a lot of the assumptions we grow up with around ambition, beauty, work, and motherhood. This conversation is full of honesty and authenticity as Kim shares what it was like for her leaving her life in San Francisco to build a new life with her family in the South of France. We chat through cultural differences between the US and France when it comes to work, socializing, motherhood, and friendships, and how she is nurturing her creative practices, reframing limiting mindsets, and defining what truly matters to her in life.
