Without Him We Can Do Nothing, With Him We Can Do Anything: Let's Stay Connected!
2026/08/10
John 15:5
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."
Weep for Them, Do Not Judge Them!
2026/08/03
1 John 5:16If anyone sees his brother sinning ...., he will ask, and He will give him life
When someone we love is far from the church, living in sin, insisting on a path that leads to death, the church weeps for them — just as Martha and Mary wept for their brother Lazarus. The Lord had compassion on Lazarus for their sake. He loved Lazarus, but He was also moved by their tears, because the Lord is compassionate and merciful.
How can we Face Rudeness with a Heavenly Standard!
2026/07/06
How can we Face Rudeness with a Heavenly Standard:
1- Remember Our Identity (0:15–0:47)We remind ourselves that we are heavenly citizens. Our standard for behavior is not what the world expects — like seeking revenge — but what our Father in heaven would do.
2- Practice divine Love and Prayer (1:11–1:14, 5:46–6:16)Instead of cursing back or blaming, we are encouraged to bless those who curse us and pray for those who spitefully use us — following the example of the Savior on the cross: "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" (6:08–6:16).
3- Acknowledge Our Need for Help (6:26–7:46)It's difficult to do this on our own. we must humble ourselves and ask God for His grace, suggesting the prayer:
"My Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me. Help me, guide me, and strengthen me."
4- Do Not Carry the Burden (9:08–10:27, 18:00–18:36)The devil often uses the faults of others to disturb our peace. We must learn to ignore these distractions and not let them ruin our hearts. If the burden becomes too heavy, we can go to Abouna (the priest) to seek absolution and let go of the pain.
5- Mindful Prayer: When praying the Lord's Prayer, we take time to pause and reflect on each part. It contains all the necessary instructions for living a heavenly life, including the act of forgiving others so we may be forgiven. (14:08 - 16:38).
6 - Practice Mindful Reconciliation (16:48–18:36)We can use times of reflection, such as the reconciliation prayer during the liturgy, to examine our hearts. If we find hatred or bad feelings, we ask God to cleanse us so we can forgive just as we want to be forgiven.
St. Moses the Strong!
2026/07/01
The life of St. Moses the Strong to extract spiritual lessons applicable to our daily lives
1- The Innate Desire for God: Even those far from God may experience a turning point where they desire to know Him. We are encouraged to be a "true light" and guide others toward the church when they seek answers about God (0:46 - 2:09).
2- The Importance of Spiritual Guidance: A significant lesson is the value of being submissive to a spiritual father. St. Moses maintained a strong relationship with his spiritual father St Isidore , which provided him the strength and absolution needed to overcome temptations (2:12 - 2:42).
3- Overcoming Despair with Hope:When faced with temptation, we should seek help rather than despair. (St. Moses seeing a vision of fiery spirits vs. a multitude of angels, illustrating that "those who are with us is greater than who are against us" (2:43 - 3:57).
What stops the devil from entering our lives!
2026/06/29
Key Takeaways
- Division as a Tool of the Devil the devil works to sow discord and foster negative judgment among believers, knowing that a "house divided" cannot stand.
- Humility is the Solution The primary defense against division is humility. Remembering our own weaknesses and sinfulness stops us from pointing out others' faults and instead fosters peace (7:43–8:24).
- Three Daily Practices for Humility and Unity
1 - Admit our own faults (9:30–10:12) — Frequently say "I have sinned, forgive me," both to God and to those around us.
2 - Turn to God in prayer (10:17–11:15) — Rely on God's grace rather than our own understanding, asking for His help, guidance, mercy and strength.
3- Practice constant gratitude (11:17–11:52) — Choose to "always give thanks" for everything, which opens our eyes to God's presence and helps overcome negativity. As the speaker puts it:
"Every time I say thank you, Lord, I kick the devil out" (13:22–13:25).
Walk in the Light!

John 12:35
Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.

The hour of darkness!
2026/04/10
Good Friday 2026
Luke 22:53When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
THE HOUR OF DARKNESSby St. CYRIL OF ALEXANDRIA: You have one hour against me.That is a very short and limited time, between the precious cross and the resurrection from thedead. This also is the power given to darkness. Darkness is the name of Satan, for he is total night and darkness. Blessed Paul says that the God of this world has blinded the minds of those that do not believe, or else, the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ should shine on them.God granted power to Satan and the Jews to rise up against Christ. They, however, dug for themselves the pitfall of destruction. He certainly saved all under heaven by means of his passion and rose the third day, having trampled under foot the empire of death. They brought down inevitable condemnation on their own heads in company with that traitorous disciple.

The Needs of a Newborn vs. the Needs of Our Inner Person!
2026/03/30
6th Sunday of the Great Lent- 03292026
Just as a newborn baby depends on feeding, cleansing, and resting in order to grow, so also our inner person requires constant spiritual care to thrive.
The Needs of the Inner Person
* Feeding
: We nourish our inner person through continual meditation on the Word of God and by partaking of the Holy Eucharist—the true “Bread of Life.” Through these, the soul is strengthened and sustained.
* Cleansing:
When we feel burdened, anxious, or weighed down by sin, it is often a sign that our inner person needs cleansing.
Daily repentance is like a gentle, ongoing washing, but the sacrament of confession is a deeper cleansing—a “full bath” that renews and restores the soul.
* Resting:
Growth happens in rest. We must learn to slow down in our relationship with God—not always striving, but simply being in His presence, like a baby resting peacefully on a parent’s chest.
A Life of DependenceJust as a newborn is completely dependent on others, we too are called to become fully dependent on God—humbling ourselves to receive His grace, His care, and His life within us.
During the Divine LiturgyEspecially during the Divine Liturgy, we are invited to quiet our hearts, set aside distractions, and focus entirely on Emmanuel—God with us—who is truly present in our midst.
If we care daily for the inner person, through cleansing, feeding, and resting then the new life within us will grow, and Christ will be formed in us.
Self-Examination!

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me” (Psalm 139:23–24).
