Clemson Escapes Cal with Win, Now Big Test vs. Miami Looms Large | CFB Week 4
2026/09/28
Hey, college football fans -- Clemson got an inconvenient head start on CFB Week 4 but pulled out a 24-10 win in the wee small hours at Cal on Friday. The Tigers' need to prioritize the running game, a stated offseason goal by head coach Dabo Swinney in Chad Morris' first year back as offensive coordinator, was on full display as true freshman QB Tait Reynolds managed just 108 yards passing on erratic accuracy (and lost a fumble that served up a touchdown for Cal). The offensive line suffered a blow with an injury to LG Elyjah Thurmon, but Gavin Blanchard appeared to replace him quite capably. The Tigers defense, meanwhile, used tight coverage in the secondary and decent pressure up front to contain touted Cal QB Jaron Keawe-Sagapolutele, keeping the Bears offense out of the end zone. Clemson still showed some issues giving up chunk plays on the ground, however. We go into the details and take the smallest of glimpses ahead at the Miami game happening Saturday night in Death Valley. #GideonDavidson #TaitReynolds #ClemsonFootball #ACCFootball #DaboSwinney We're glad you found us! Clemson vs Cal Preview: Can Tigers Defense Stop JKS? | CFB Week 4
2026/09/24
Hey, college football fans. Can Clemson build confidence from last week's second-half momentum and survive a road test against Cal QB Jaron Keawe-Sagapolutene on a short week? We’ve got our analysis of the keys required for the Tigers to secure a massive Friday night victory over the Golden Bears, diving deep into several of the things we want to see from Dabo Swinney’s team, as well as a few of the X's and O's we anticipate. Is there a blueprint to pressure “JKS” and give Clemson a chance to win a second straight ACC game? We analyze how the Tigers need to sustain their high-effort execution in our Week 4 analysis, and share our thoughts on whether last week’s dominant second-half in Death Valley can also feed a winning “ACC After Dark” night in Berkeley. #ClemsonFootball #CalFootball #ClemsonVsCal #ACCFootball #CollegeFootball #JKS We’re glad you found us!
Clemson's Tait Reynolds Sparks Insane Second-half Comeback vs. UNC | CFB Week 3
2026/09/20
Hey, college football fans – Dabo Swinney was ecstatic with his Clemson Tigers’ comeback Saturday for a 28-20 win over UNC in their ACC football season opener. True freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds overcame a troublesome start to the game and gave offensive coordinator Chad Morris what he needed to string scoring drives together and outplay the Tar Heels. Smash that play button for a breakdown of the evolution that lifted Clemson to its Week 3 win, recapping the offense’s improvements in this podcast episode and taking a tactical look at the defense’s high points (as well as the remaining issues that defensive coordinator Tom Allen must still resolve).  #ClemsonFootball #TaitReynolds #ALLIN #ACCfootball #CFBWeek3 #ClemsonPodcast We’re glad you found us! Clemson's Crucial Test: Will UNC Upset Dabo Swinney in CFB Week 3?
2026/09/17
All right, college sports fans -- Dabo Swinney’s Clemson football team needs to start getting the easy things right in order for the Tigers to win their ACC opener. Clemson vs. UNC in Week 3 will pose more of a test for the Tigers than had been imagined by most fans during the preseason, before Swinney’s team lost badly to LSU and struggled to find the end zone in a win over Georgia Southern. Simple mistakes can’t keep happening on the field for Clemson, especially along its troubled offensive line if freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds is to sustain more touchdown drives. We take a look at some things Clemson must do well in what’s become a swing game, if the Tigers are to avoid a second-straight season with a losing record in Week 3. #ClemsonFootball #UNCFootball #CollegeFootball #CFBWeek3 #DaboSwinney We're glad you found us!
Clemson’s Week 2 Win: Why Dabo Swinney’s Approach Isn’t Working Yet
2026/09/14
All right, college sports fans – Dabo Swinney’s Clemson football team showed some areas of improvement in a 22-7 win over Georgia Southern, but plenty of issues reared their head despite the victory. Granted, the win was the most important thing about the game. And quarterback Tait Reynolds continued to flash his early potential and his athletic ability as he played all but the first two possessions of the game. But looking ahead at the fact that it’s a 12-game season, the fact that the offensive line still isn’t enabling Chad Morris’ offense to fire on all cylinders and let the skill position players compete at their full potential. Defensively, Tom Allen’s squad tightened up considerably but still showed a few areas where they can be beaten (as any college football defense can be). We break it all down, talk about where this team’s latest performance fits into the big picture, and look ahead to the rest of the season in some regards. #DaboSwinney #TaitReynolds #ClemsonFootball #ACCfootball #ClemsonTigers #CFBWeek2 We’re glad you found us! Clemson Needs a Reset: QB Questions, OL Problems, Coaching Concerns
2026/09/10
All right, college sports fans -- the Clemson dynasty of it six-year run in the four-team playoff era was built on inner strength. That's the ingredient that Dabo Swinney, his coaches and his players need to rekindle starting in Week 2 of this 2026 college football season. The top item on the list has to be evaluating quarterbacks Christopher Vizzina and Tait Reynolds. But that relies on the offensive line eliminating its struggles in a hurry. And those are just two of the issues that Chad Morris, Tom Allen and their assistants must resolve in a hurry to avoid extended time under the .500 mark for a second straight season. We break down the most glaring problems we see that Swinney & Co. must get to the bottom of. #ClemsonFootball #ACCFootball #DaboSwinney #ChristopherVizzina #TaitReynolds #cfb We're glad you found us!
LSU 51, Clemson 10: The Fixes Dabo Swinney Must Make After This Collapse
2026/09/07
All right, college sports fans – we know this one got ugly in a hurry. Dabo Swinney’s optimism in his team was not rewarded Saturday night in Baton Rouge and his team got trounced 51-10 by LSU under its new coach, Lane Kiffin. Swinney is now faced with the task of keeping his team focused on winning the next game, and the one after that, following a season-opening disappointment. Quarterback Tait Reynolds showed promise in relief of starter Christopher Vizzina, but neither was entirely to blame for their struggles as the Clemson offensive line once again struggled mightily under position coach Matt Luke. New offensive coordinator Chad Morris had no solutions in his first game reunited with Swinney. And the Tigers D that defensive coordinator Tom Allen overhauled via the transfer portal also showed major issues along the line of scrimmage. Dabo’s honey-do list is a lengthy one after this season-opening breakdown. We get into the top things we see that need the most immediate attention, in our opinions, although surely the two-time national-championship head coach is ahead of the curve on what needs to be done.
Clemson at LSU: Dabo Needs Underdog Energy to Shock LSU
2026/09/03
All right college sports fans, Clemson plays at LSU in less than 72 hours, and Dabo Swinney’s plan is not changing at this point. His defense is reloaded with transfers around a veteran stalwart in linebacker Sammy Brown and a physical specimen in cornerback Ashton Hampton. They face the Lane Kiffin-rebuilt offense in the Bayou, with QB Sam Leavitt expected to lead the way. While defensive coordinator Tom Allen needs to find continuity among his new starters, Clemson’s biggest question marks sit on the offensive side of the ball: Can new offensive coordinator Chad Morris and his intensity get the most out of QB Christopher Vizzina and an overhauled offensive line so that standout wide receivers Bryant Wesco and T.J. Moore can shine? The only way to know for sure is to wait and watch it all unfold. We’re glad you found us! Clemson vs. LSU Preview: Matchups to Make or Break the 2026 Season Opener
2026/09/02
All right, college sports fans -- This video leans on a friend of the program, Jon Blau, who’s had up-close looks at both Clemson and LSU this offseason because of his move from the Clemson beat to The Advocate in Baton Rouge, La. Jon’s conversation with Bill puts the focus onto how the two Tigers squads match up heading into the 2026 season opener. We dig into the position groups that will showcase key battles to shape Clemson vs. LSU in Week 1, from offensive line leverage to secondary matchups: For Clemson: how Dabo Swinney’s offseason roster moves could solve last year’s gaps. For LSU: where Lane Kiffin’s myriad changes matter most for the matchup with Clemson. How those factors intersect in the matchups on the field will shape the opener. Our regular listeners know we love to add the on‑the‑ground perspective we don’t always get from a distance, and Jon brings that like nobody else can this year. It’s a straightforward look at how these two teams stack up heading into Week 1 – and what each team must do to win. We're glad you found us! Why Clemson’s First 3 ACC Games Are Pivotal in 2026
2026/07/30
All right, college sports fans -- Clemson’s ACC hopes in 2026 rely heavily on three critical matchups before the bye week, and we’re here to talk about the exact reasons why those games matter. We dig into how early momentum matters heavily in washing away the bad aftertaste of a 7-6 season. We also talk about why the Tigers’ opening ACC slate – North Carolina in Week 3, followed by a rough road trip to Cal and then returning home to face national-championship runner-up Miami – presents wildly different challenges. Clemson’s path depends on early-season adjustments, mental toughness, and proving that an overhauled roster can win whether the matchups and atmosphere are easy or difficult. If the Tigers capitalize early, the ACC picture changes fast — but falling flat in any of these games could derail a lot of the program’s long-term goals. We’re here to give you the full strategic outlook regarding this pivotal stretch. #ClemsonFootball2026 #DaboSwinney #ACCfootball #ChadMorris #DeathValley.
