Truth Under the Rubble | Francesca Albanese & Eyal Weizman
2026/10/21
In this difficult and unflinching conversation, Jehan Alfarra and Ahmed Alnaouq are joined by Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, and Eyal Weizman, founder of Forensic Architecture, to examine the destruction of Gaza, the silencing of Palestinian journalists, and the growing struggle to hold those responsible to account.
Francesca Albanese discusses her report A Truth Under the Rubble, exploring the targeting of Palestinian journalists, the suppression of information, and the role of international media in shaping narratives about Israel’s war on Gaza. She explains why the destruction of evidence, the killing of witnesses, and the removal of physical traces raise profound questions about accountability and the international community’s obligations.
Eyal Weizman, author of Ungrounding: The Architecture of Genocide, examines how the transformation of Gaza’s landscape threatens not only physical evidence but also Palestinian memory, identity, and the possibility of return. Through the work of Forensic Architecture, he explores how satellite imagery, witness testimony, and the built environment can help reconstruct what has happened, even as the landscape itself is being erased.
The conversation also tackles the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Criminal Court (ICC), US sanctions against international justice officials, arms transfers, and the responsibilities of governments under international law and the Genocide Convention.

The Zionism Conversation BBC Won't Have
2026/10/08

We ask: What is Zionism? And why do we believe it to be racist?Ahmed Alnaouq speaks to Hala Hanina, Shahd Hammouri and Hazem Jamjoum in a wide-ranging conversation about the history, ideology and politics surrounding Palestine; from the Balfour Declaration to Gaza and from Christian Zionism to British politics.

2026/10/05
What does it mean to grow up in England, learn to be English and then spend a lifetime finding your way back to Palestine? In this conversation, Palestinian writer, doctor and activist Ghada Karmi reflects on identity, exile, colonialism, memory and the long struggle for Palestinian liberation.Speaking to Decolonial Scholar & Content Creator Joris Lechêne, she explores her identity as a child growing up in Britain, the moment in 1967 when watching her English friends cheer Israel forced her to confront her own identity, and the extraordinary story of the key to her family home in Jerusalem. From there, the conversation moves into the politics of Palestine: Britain’s colonial responsibility, the transformation of Western attitudes towards Israel and Palestine, the role of propaganda, and the question of whether the two-state solution offers genuine justice, or simply a version of “peace” that asks Palestinians to remain “quiet”.Finally, the two discuss her historical novel set in medieval Baghdad, and how reclaiming Arab history, culture, complexity and humanity can itself become part of the struggle against colonial erasure.
