And so, because you don't "see" it.  You cannot believe healing actually exists.  Oh, I get it. 20+ years ago that was me too.   For there's no line of people around the corner waiting to "get their goodies"  like a Taylor Swift concert ticket,   There is no crowd showing off the latest sexy iPhone to "prove" to you that they "have IT", i.e. they are healed.  And so because you don't "see" them, you believe that healing is not possible.    And you may also want to stay believe that healing is not available to you.  Here's what I say TRASH IT!  TRASH IT!  TRASH IT! If you look at any online store where my books are sold, you may see the number of reviews.  And yet, my books have sold hundreds (audio, print, ebook), across the globe.   Dove, it's safe to trash that magic lies. What you see does NOT matter.  It's how U feel, deeply matters.  You cannot feel what you don't believe.  Healing requires that you believe to receive. That you feel to receive.  Healing feels good. Period. And when you want to heal how you feel about you, you will do everything in your power to JOIN the Universe and agree with it, that healing IS available to you.   And that's how my clients, and readers of my books find me.  THEY make the 1st move.  How? by believing in possibility that they. can. heal.  Many people have asked me these two questions, that's why I'm sharing the answers with you in this episode, so you can lay down that old rugged cross called "worry-me-hurry-me".  You see, Healing is your birthright.  Healing is natural.  And anything else is a lie, you can trash.  My job is NOT to try to convince you that.   I'm the answer people find when they are ready to let go of the lies they have been practicing and to finally come to peace with themselves.  But first - just like them, YOUR free will is absolutely required to choose. O’Garra And this man's journey was preparing him to do just that; to resurrect his dignity.  For this particular man, Miles Michael Livingston, the protagonist - was tired. And so was Vernon O'Garra, the author. He was tired of wishing + waiting at the bus stop to be selected as a “worthy” rider.  This book reinforces the reason why I created this "Up + Coming Author Series" on the Rebel For A Spell podcast. Not to critique the books through the lens of a book reviewer. Oh no, my vision is holy! For it is to share and to show you what possibilities LOOK like. What creation FEELS like. Even when it seems there is an audience of 1. That is, Y.O.U.  “Brilliant Minds  Ignorant Minds: one man's journey through legalized workplace discrimination, racism, and self-discovery”,  is written by Mr. O' Garra.  It is the 2nd book that is being featured in the "Author Series" on the Rebel For A Spell podcast.    This memoir is steeped in African American History and delivered through the transformational life of Miles Michael Livingston.  A life that reflects much of the author’s life.    Dove, whether or not you agree with the protagonist (or the Author's) assessment of corporate America, of if your experiences are vastly different, through the pulse of this story - you may discover etchings of your version of the (American) Dream.  For each of us holds an innate desire that is, to live the quality of life we all deserve. And the arrival at that tangible reality, seeded by our innate desire, pre-dates the differences that we think separates us from our fellowmen.  There is a humanity that we all share and rely on - from each other. Irrefutable Courage.  Alive Fear.  Resilience.  Shame.  Curiosity.  Family.  Poverty.  Growth.  Tenacity.  Pain.  Inner Healing.  Relief and  Delightful Moments of Joy.   It’s all here, within Miles’ readiness to be seen fully, and to be acknowledge as “worthy”.  For that I believe is imbued in the author’s mission.    In his own words, Mr. O' Garra shares his personal mission: “ I’m building a legacy for young Black professionals, for my community in New York, for anyone who's been told they're "not a good fit."  Discrimination in corporate America is not a reflection of your worth, it's a reflection of a broken system. And you have more power than you think. That's why I do this work." Vernon M. O’Garra is a seasoned healthcare finance professional. He is an African American author, entrepreneur, and podcast host based in Huntington, New York.    He is a graduate of  Lincoln University — one of America's premier Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
