The Holy Seed Is It’s Stump (Isaiah 6:13)
2026/10/25
10/25/2026 – Sojourners Bible Study – Brian Irby – In Isaiah 6:13, Yahweh reveals that although Israel will experience devastating judgment, He will faithfully preserve a holy remnant, pictured as the stump of a fallen tree. This lesson shows Yahweh’s unwavering covenant faithfulness to Israel, demonstrating how He will preserve His people, literally fulfill the Abrahamic, Davidic, and New Covenants, and ultimately restore Israel through Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah.
The Commission to Harden (The Commission to Harden (Isaiah 6:8-13)
2026/10/18
10/18/2026 – Sojourners Bible Study – Brian Irby – Yahweh commissions Isaiah to proclaim His Word to a rebellious nation, knowing that his message will further harden their hearts and bring certain judgment. Yet even in judgment, Yahweh remains faithful to His covenant promises, preserving a holy remnant through whom He will accomplish His purposes of redemption and restoration.

Having finished his call to contend for the faith. he focuses on our common salvation, and ending with a doxology that emphasizes God’s preserving power and expresses Jude’s confidence that as we contend for the faith, God “is able to keep you from falling.”

2026/10/04
10/04/2026 – Sojourners Bible Study – Lee Parker – Jude’s finishes his finial brush strokes on his portrait of false teachers, calling his readers to remember what they had been taught in order to stand for the truth.  He closes the main body of his letter giving them four way to contend for the faith.
Compelled to Contend – The Coming Judgment of Apostates (Jude 14-16)
2026/09/27
09/27/2026 – Sojourners Bible Study – Lee Parker – Earlier, in verse 4, Jude said these apostates were “long beforehand marked out for this condemnation.” Verses 14-16 affirm that truth and reinforce the New Testament’s teaching on judgment. This passage highlights three certainties: Christ will return, He will not return alone, and He will judge all who reject Him.
Compelled to Contend – Characteristics of the Apostates’ Nature (Jude 8-13)
2026/09/20
09/20/2026 – Sojourners Bible Study – In verses 8–13, Jude continues to develop a composite portrait of the apostates by their behavior, then comparing them with three historical figures familiar to his audience and then with several natural phenomena.

2026/09/13
09/13/2026 – Sojourners Bible Study – Kris Brackett – The Bible is historically accurate and perfectly reliable. Despite the claims of sceptics, it is undefeated. We look at a couple of chapters from the book Faith affirming Findings: 50 Archeological Discoveries that Validate the Historicity and Reliability of Scripture by Paul Weaver to be reminded that our faith is a reasonable faith based on a completely reliable book and there is no need to be intimidated by those who attack it. (We talk about the findings from excavations of Jericho and the Tell Dan (House of David) Stele.)
Compelled to Contend – Jude’s Exhortation (Jude 4-7)
2026/08/30
08/30/2026 – Sojourners Bible Study – Lee Parker – Opponents whom Jude calls “certain persons” were challenging the Christian faith from within the church. In this section, he identifies the apostates of his day – and false teachers in every age pointing out their ungodliness. Though they claimed to belong to God and speak for Him, their corrupt character, and conduct revealed hearts far from Him.

2026/08/16
