Advertise on podcast: New to the Crew

With no Crew game this week (sigh), Pete sits Mel down to inform her of his Belgian Footy tour idea coming up in November. This only takes a few minutes, so Mel gives Pete a personality test (something about ladders and horses in a desert). No Crew! The title speaks for itself. We're gonna win the Cup baby! Also on the agenda, feeling sleepy, long drives, babies that don't sleep, and renewing season tickets. GO CREW! Get in touch @ [email protected] (although I never check the emails) or IG: New2thecrew96 [email protected]

Pete and Mel returned to watch the Crew live in Columbus for the first time post-World Cup. Rory the baby came along for the ride, so naturally we talked about that a lot (probably too much). Also on the agenda; New to the Brew (we went to a brewery), making new friends, appearing on other pods, celebrity spotting in the stadium, oh.. and Crew finally won a game. GO CREW! Pete sits Mel down to discuss his Crew weekend v Atlanta but mainly talks about Tottenham avoiding relegation. He also shamelessly suggests using this recording to promote their travel pod (All We See). Crew take a break now for the World Cup, will we be back? As ever, who knows. Also on the agenda, Moon pizza and s****y hotels. GO CREW! SAVE THE CAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get in touch @ [email protected] (although I never check the emails) or IG: New2thecrew96 [email protected]

Pete and Mel record two separate mini-pods (with wildly varying degrees of enthusiasm) as Crew go on a back-to-back winning streak and prove once again that they are actually massive. Also on the agenda, thunderstorms, New to the Brew, and High School Graduation songs. GO CREW! SAVE THE CAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With Crew losing over the weekend (again), we opt to delve into the past and reminisce over happier times (last Wednesday) as Eric takes Pete through his Crewtiful Day visiting Richmond for the US Open Cup. Pete and Mel discussed the Orlando game while watching the Richmond game on the tellybox. Also on the agenda - Americans and their weird parking habits, Columbus being great, Crew being shit, and still probably too much chat about Rory the Baby. GO CREW! It's that time of the month again where Pete gets to put his feet up and listen to Eric explain just where the Crew sit after the month of March. We look back over the last few games, including finally getting up and running with a glorious 3-1 win at Atlanta. It's spring break for Pete and Mel, so they took advantage with the scheduling and drove the 7-hours to Toronto to watch the not-so-mighty Crew lose 2-1. They both worried about whether the pod has become too Rory (the baby)-centric and yet ploughed on in that direction anyway. Cue discussions about diaper bags and "nap time kick-off's". Oh, and they also visited some waterfalls. Get in touch @ [email protected] (although I never check the emails) or IG: New2thecrew96

Pete and Mel were both sick over the past few days and neither actually made it to Columbus to watch the game. They did however watch it from the discomfort of their own home, and even jumped on to live pod for the last 20 minutes of the game. It's not a very good pod, but we can guarantee it's more fun than Columbus Crew right now! GO CREW! Get in touch @ [email protected] (although I never check the emails) or IG: New2thecrew96

A new setup for 2026, "end of month Crew Review with Eric!" Obviously, Eric knows a million more things about Crew than Pete, so obviously it makes sense to get him on to explain why we have only 1 point from the opening 2 games. Obviously there were some tech issues at the beginning (and occasionally throughout), but obviously Pete couldn't be bothered to fully edit it down. Obviously, you should still listen to it. GO CREW!

Pete and Mel talk themselves into starting a 4th season of New to the Crew and explain how they feel like they are New to the Crew all over again. Recorded in segments over the course of opening day weekend in the build-up and aftermath to Portland away (we lost). GO CREW!

Pete gets up at silly o'clock to record live from Lithuania and update Mel with his 3-game challenge and sounds groggy from the outset. Sprinkled in is some occasional Crew chat to keep the pod honest. GO CREW!

A cheeky little BONUS pod recorded live (last week) in Estonia. Pete and Mel (and Rory the Baby) went to an Estonian top division game so talk about that a bit, plus footy in Latvia. Crew are back to playing (and winning) and they barely talk about that. Enjoy!

Crew came up short (again) in Charlotte, but it barely matters when we have such a great GUEST on this week - Katie of Mecklenburg Massive to give a rundown of her Crew-ti-ful Day! It was such a great chat, Pete forgot to sign off the pod with the obligatory 'Go Crew!' Give this one a listen and get yourself down to Charlotte next season if you get the chance. Go Crew!
