We feel bad about our apparent inability to stick to a schedule while on the West Coast, so we make up for it with putting in minimal effort to plug in just one mic, and take shot at answering some Dear Prudence questions.  Tell us what would you do if your sister was putting a spell on your husband.

Life updates, cyclospora, and responding to a listener question about Mu'atazilis.

We talk to Pittsburgh organizer and Director of Operations at 1Hood, Farooq Al-Said about the teen takeover phenomenon. Is it a phenomenon? How is it being discussed in the media? Could there be a reason why our cities and public spaces aren't built to accommodate sudden, public gatherings?!?!

We review a paper released by Yaqeen Institute which provides an Islamic jurisprudential analysis and framework for AI. What does it mean to think about "halal AI"? Is it achievable? Are there impossible-to-enumerate material linkages that need to be addressed any time we think about redesigning one system to comport with spiritual ethical frameworks??????? Please DM me (Ahmed) if you're interested in seeding my startup, Quantum Qadi, through which I plunder more than a millennia of Muslim intellectual history to create a chatbot that synthesizes frameworks from all madhahib into one certain, final ruling.

Prarieland DSA sweep in NYC AWU Divestment Men

We talk about how losing is actually winning RE Iran. Relatedly, shout out to Egypt's soccer team, who won by not losing for the first time in 92 years.

Yasmine gives an update on Delaney Hall. We also talk about Sam Harris and a cry-baby who can't countenance her Brooklyn co-op's boycott of Israel.

Lots discussed. We're San Franciscans now. We've outsourced the podcast to AI agents who also happen to be married, because that's legal (in some cases mandatory) in San Francisco. Please review us! Surprisingly we are listened to quite a bit in Vietnam and Singapore, so if you're in Vietnam or Singapore, tell your friends about this show and make sure they review it.

This one is a mix of stuff that I don't fully remember, but I guarantee 100% satisfaction.   Please review us wherever you listen to podcasts. Unsolicited emails are telling me we are the #1 Muslim Couple podcast in the entire world. That is potentially one of the most powerful advertising opportunities that exists, but BofA and Skims won't find us if you don't tell them how much you love us.

Journalist Hossam el-Hamalawy joins us again to talk about the makings of counterrevolution in Egypt, the topic of his newly published book, out on May 5th with Verso. This is a must-listen episode for anyone who wants to understand what revolutionaries in Egypt, and the rest of the world, are up against. Hossam's reporting on Egypt's security state is available on Substack @3arabawy.

While the cat's away, the sewer rats will play... All-time favorite guest Corey joins me to take seriously the issue of white genocide, and we decide which incorporated entity we want to pledge our fealty to after the coporate balkanization of the U.S..

Muhammad and Hiba join us to talk about Muhammad's 1.5-year-long battle in court with prosecutors and University of Pittsburgh Police. Muhammad continues to face felony-level charges after being suspended by the University of Pittsburgh, which has been designated as one of the worst university campuses when it comes to free speech. Additionally Pitt has selectively singled out advocacy for Palestine as a threat, and even attempted to suspend the campus's chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine before an ACLU lawsuit forced it to reverse the decision.   We talk about all this and more. Please take the time to share this episode with your networks.

We talk to investigative journalist Mehr Sher about her piece about Muhammad Ali, recently published with Dropsite News. Muhammad faces up to 34 years in prison after an interaction with University of Pittsburgh police outside of a Palestine solidarity encampent two years ago. This episode was originiallygoing to be merged with the interview we did with Muhammad back in November, but we decided to publish them as two separate episodes in the same week. This is an important epsidode to listen to before listening to our discussion with Muhammad and Hiba.

The audio quality is lacking because SOMEONE left their microphone in NYC. In fact, it was so bad that I had to completely cut the first 10 minutes, which is sad because we had some good riffs about Dubai.

My wife came back.
