Ep:(188) How to Live Set Apart In Your Business
2026/09/30
There are seasons when following God means being willing to walk a little differently than everyone around you.   In this episode, I’m talking about what it really means to live set apart in your business—and why being set apart doesn’t always feel comfortable. Sometimes God calls us into lonely places, pruning seasons, and moments where we have to trust Him before we can see what He’s doing.   We’ll talk about what happens when God expands your influence, why expansion can sometimes feel lonely, and how to stay grounded in God’s presence when you’re making big decisions in your business, brand, or calling.   In this episode, you’ll discover: Why being set apart can require you to become comfortable with uncomfortable seasons How God uses pruning and solitude to prepare us for greater influence Why expansion doesn’t always mean adding more—it can mean letting go How to trust God when you feel alone, misunderstood, or uncertain about your next step Why seeking God first matters when you’re making major business and life decisions How to recognize that God’s presence—not the outcome—is where your victory begins   And remember, being set apart doesn’t mean being abandoned. God is with you in the lonely places, the valley seasons, and the mountaintops.   Get Your Copy of Firebrand Book: https://fitinfaithmedia.com/firebrand   Ready to expand your message? Ep:(187) Elimination Comes Before Expansion
2026/09/23
Sometimes the biggest step toward what God has next for you is deciding what you’re finally ready to let go of.   As we move into the final quarter of 2026, I’ve been thinking about what’s working, what isn’t, and what might need to be eliminated in order to make room for expansion. Because expansion doesn’t always mean adding more clients, more content, more opportunities, or more responsibilities. Sometimes, it requires subtraction first.   In this episode, we’re talking about the things we may have outgrown but are still carrying—old habits, obligations, relationships, business models, roles, or even identities. I’ll share why elimination isn’t necessarily failure; sometimes, it’s obedience.   In this episode, you’ll discover: Why expansion often requires subtraction before addition How to recognize what is draining your energy or no longer producing fruit The difference between what is familiar and what is actually fruitful Why something God blessed in one season may not be something He’s asking you to carry into the next How to make room for the calling God is expanding you into Why trusting God sometimes means stepping into the uncomfortable space between what you’re releasing and what comes next   And because you don’t need to carry everything into your next season, I want to encourage you to prayerfully ask: What needs to go?   Ready to expand your message? Ep:(186) The Bad Mom Lie with Theresa Todd
2026/09/16
Episode 186: The Bad Mom Lie with Theresa Todd   A bad moment doesn’t make you a bad mom—but sometimes shame can make it feel that way.   In this episode, I’m joined by my friend Theresa Todd, host of The BAD Mom Show, for an honest conversation about motherhood, identity, shame, and what it looks like to step into your God-given authority as a mom.   Theresa opens up about growing up with the belief that she was “the bad one” and how that eventually turned into perfectionism, performance, and constantly trying to prove her worth. We talk about how those same patterns followed her into motherhood and what happened when God began showing her that she didn’t have to earn her value through how well she performed.   We also dive into the difference between guilt and shame, how to recognize the lies we’ve believed about ourselves, and how renewing our minds with God’s truth can change the way we lead our homes.   In this episode, you’ll discover: Why attaching your worth to your performance can create a cycle of shame The difference between guilt and shame—and why shame attacks your identity How to recognize your triggers and get curious about what’s underneath them Why motherhood is one of the most important mantles of leadership How God’s Word can help you challenge the lies you’ve believed about yourself What it looks like to take spiritual authority and boldly speak truth over your family   Motherhood was never meant to be a performance you have to perfect. You are already loved, chosen, and equipped by God for the family He has entrusted to you.   If you’ve ever found yourself thinking, “I’m a bad mom,” I hope this conversation reminds you that one hard moment does not define who you are. You can receive grace, renew your mind, and lead your home from a place of identity instead of shame.   Connect with Theresa and learn more about The BAD Mom Show and the resources she offers for moms who want to grow in confidence, faith, and leadership.   IG: https://www.instagram.com/thetheresatodd/ www.thetheresatodd.com   Want more free resources to help you grow your business and overcome what’s holding you back? Ep:(185) What Happens When God Gives You Influence?
2026/09/09
Influence sounds exciting—until you realize it comes with responsibility.   There’s a difference between being popular and actually making an impact. And when God begins expanding your influence, your business, your platform, or your reach, there’s a deeper question to consider: Are you ready to steward what He’s entrusted to you?   In this episode, I’m talking about what happens when God gives you influence and why growth isn’t just about becoming more visible. It’s about integrity, consistency, humility, courage, and being willing to show up even when nobody is watching.   In this episode, you’ll discover: Why influence is not the same thing as popularity What it really means to steward your time, voice, business, and platform Why God may ask you to show up consistently before anyone is watching How visibility can bring fears of criticism, judgment, and being misunderstood Why your message needs to be accessible to the people who need it How the parable of the talents challenges us to stop hiding what God has given us   Sometimes expansion means becoming visible in ways you’ve never been visible before. But you don’t have to have everything figured out—you simply need to faithfully use what God has placed in your hands.   If you’re ready to grow your influence while staying grounded in who God has called you to be, this episode is for you.   Ready to expand your business and free the founder? Ep:(184) What If You’re Not Stuck? What If You’re Expanding?
2026/09/02
Growth can feel surprisingly uncomfortable when you’re stepping into something you’ve never done before.   In this episode, I’m talking about those seasons where you’re wondering, “Am I stuck, or is God actually expanding me?” Because sometimes the discomfort, uncertainty, and fear we experience aren’t signs that we’re on the wrong path—they’re simply evidence that we’re somewhere we’ve never been before. I want to help you recognize the difference between fear and discernment, and learn to trust God even when you don’t feel ready.   In this episode, you’ll discover: Why discomfort doesn’t automatically mean you’re doing the wrong thing How to recognize when God is stretching you into something new Why the calling often comes before the confidence The difference between “I can’t” and “I’ve never” How to discern the difference between fear and a genuine warning from God Why your next level may require new support, systems, and people around you   If you’ve been feeling stretched in your business, leadership, or calling, I want you to pause before you label yourself as stuck. You may not be stuck at all. You may simply be expanding beyond the way you’ve operated before.   Sometimes the next step isn’t about feeling ready. It’s about trusting God enough to take the step anyway.   Listen in, sit with these questions, and ask yourself: Where am I feeling stretched right now—and could this actually be evidence that I’m expanding?   Want more free resources to help you grow your business and overcome what’s holding you back? Ep:(183) Game Changer Strategy For Your Faith and Business
2026/08/26
Episode 183: Game Changer Strategy For Your Faith and Business   Sometimes the breakthrough you’re believing God for starts with something that has already happened.   In this episode, I’m sharing a simple but powerful strategy for building faith in your business, ministry, and life: your testimony. When God has done something once, it becomes a reminder of what He can do again. Instead of overlooking your wins or comparing yourself to someone else’s breakthrough, I want to encourage you to recognize what God has already done and put that testimony on repeat.   In this episode, you’ll discover: Why your testimony can become a powerful source of faith for your next breakthrough How to take the wins you’ve experienced in business and use them to build your confidence for what’s next Why you should repeat and share your testimonies instead of keeping them to yourself How to shift from comparison and jealousy when someone else experiences a breakthrough What it looks like to create an atmosphere of faith around the things you’re believing God for Why stretching yourself and dreaming bigger can create opportunities for God to receive the glory   If you’re entering a new season in your business and wondering what God might do next, I want you to look back before you look forward. What has He already done? What testimony can you put on repeat?   Let that become the anthem you carry into your next season. If this episode encourages you, send it to a Christian woman in business who needs a faith boost, and let me know what testimony you’re believing God to repeat in your life.   Want more free resources to help you grow your business and overcome what’s holding you back? Ep:(182) How to Create Content from Inspiration Not Desperation
2026/08/19
Have you ever sat down to create content and felt like you’re forcing it because you need people to like it, engage with it, or somehow prove that what you’re doing is working?   In this episode, I’m talking about what it really looks like to create content from a place of inspiration instead of desperation. Because when we’re constantly giving, serving, and showing up online from an empty place, it doesn’t take long before we feel burned out and overwhelmed.   For me, the answer isn’t another content strategy—it starts with getting back to God as my source. When I spend time with Him, I’m reminded that I don’t have to perform for Him or for people. I can create from a place of overflow, authenticity, and purpose.   In this episode, you’ll discover: Why creating content from desperation can leave you feeling exhausted and disconnected How spending intentional time with God can change the way you show up online Why social media can become a place to serve others instead of simply promoting yourself How hearing God’s voice can help you discover your own voice, gifts, and passions What it means to create from a sustainable place instead of constantly running on empty How to stop performing and start creating from a place of freedom and authenticity   If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or drained by content creation, I hope this episode reminds you that God is your source—not social media, likes, or algorithms.   Take a listen, and then ask yourself: Am I creating from inspiration or desperation?   Want more free resources to help you grow your business and overcome what’s holding you back? Ep:(181) Business + Life Advice from My 87 Year Old Papa
2026/08/12
Episode 181: Business + Life Advice from My 87 Year Old Papa   Sometimes the best business advice comes from someone who has simply lived a lot of life.   In this very special episode, I’m sitting down with my 87-year-old Papa to talk about business, relationships, money, mistakes, faith, and what really matters in the long run. He spent decades building and running a business, and I wanted to give you a chance to hear some of the wisdom he’s picked up along the way. But honestly, some of the most meaningful lessons had nothing to do with business at all.   We talk about why relationships matter in business, the importance of knowing your numbers and valuing what you bring to the table, how to handle mistakes with honesty, and why there really are no “bad days”—just days that are better than others.   In this episode, you’ll discover: Why treating people with kindness and making them feel seen can become one of your greatest strengths in business Why you need to know your numbers and value your work without taking advantage of people How to handle mistakes with humility, honesty, and integrity Why relationships and genuine connection can matter more than simply making a sale What decades of life and business experience taught my Papa about trusting God Why the legacy you leave behind is about so much more than business success   This conversation reminded me that building a successful business is important, but building a meaningful life is even more important. If you’re looking for Business Christian Self Help that goes beyond strategy and gets to the heart of how we lead, work, and live, I think you’re going to love this one.   And make sure you stay until the end—Papa has a few fun facts and stories you’re not going to want to miss!   If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone you love and let me know which piece of Papa’s wisdom stood out to you most.   Want more free resources to help you grow your business and overcome what’s holding you back? Ep:(180) Become the Story You Believe
2026/08/05
Episode 180: Become the Story You Believe   Have you ever noticed how the story you tell yourself quietly shapes the way you show up?   In this episode, I'm inviting you to take an honest look at the narratives you've been believing about yourself, your business, and your calling. Because the truth is, the stories we repeat become the beliefs we live from—and those beliefs determine the actions we take.   Whether you've been feeling behind, discouraged, or questioning if you're really qualified, I want to encourage you to let God become the Author of your story instead of fear, comparison, or past disappointment. Together, we'll also explore why storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to build a brand that creates connection, trust, and lasting impact.   In this episode, you'll discover: How the stories you tell yourself shape your identity and influence your decisions Why replacing false narratives with God's truth changes how you lead and show up The connection between faith, mindset, and building a Business Christian Self Help brand How God uses hidden seasons to produce lasting fruit instead of quick success Why storytelling is one of the most effective ways to build trust and grow your influence A simple challenge to help you rewrite your story from God's perspective this week   If you've been carrying a narrative that no longer aligns with who God says you are, I hope this episode gives you the courage to exchange fear for truth. Your circumstances may not change overnight, but your perspective can—and that has the power to change everything.   If this episode encouraged you, I'd love for you to share it with a friend or leave a review. Ep:(179) God's Strategy for Overcoming Business Battles
2026/07/29
Episode 179: God's Strategy for Overcoming Business Battles   Have you ever felt like you're doing everything the experts tell you to do, yet you're still feeling stuck?   In this episode, I want to encourage you that your biggest business battle may not be a lack of strategy—it may be trying to fight someone else's battle instead of embracing God's unique plan for your life. As I spent time in prayer, the Lord reminded me of the story of David and Goliath and the powerful lesson hidden in David's decision to take off Saul's armor.   Sometimes we're so busy following formulas, comparing ourselves to others, or believing limiting beliefs that we miss the very strategy God wants to reveal to us. Just as David trusted the gifts God had already placed in his hands, you can trust that God has equipped you with everything you need to overcome the challenges in front of you.   In this episode, you'll discover: Why your greatest business battle may actually be a limiting belief. What David and Goliath teaches us about trusting God's unique strategy. How comparison can keep you from walking in your God-given calling. Why your natural gifts may be the very tools God wants to use. Practical encouragement to seek God's direction instead of copying everyone else.   If you're navigating entrepreneurship, leadership, or a season of uncertainty, this episode will remind you that God has already gone before you. You don't have to wear someone else's armor to succeed. Walk confidently in the calling He's given you, trust His guidance, and allow His strategy to lead the way.   If this episode encouraged you, I'd love for you to share it with a friend or leave a review. Ep:(177) Finding Faith For Your Business Breakthrough
2026/07/15
What do you do when you're believing God for a breakthrough, but all you can see are obstacles?   In this episode, I'm sharing one of the most personal lessons God has taught me about faith. Whether you're navigating uncertainty in your business, waiting on an answered prayer, or wrestling with fear about what's ahead, I want to encourage you to stop looking at your circumstances through the world's perspective and start asking a different question: "God, what do You say?" Because breakthrough doesn't begin when your circumstances change—it begins when your faith has something to stand on.   In this episode, you'll discover: How to find a foundation for your faith when life feels uncertain Why hearing God's perspective matters more than listening to everyone else's opinions What it looks like to partner with God instead of letting fear lead your decisions How to keep believing for your business breakthrough even when you don't see immediate results Why God often develops your faith before He delivers the promise Practical encouragement for Christian women navigating business, family, and seasons of waiting   If you've been feeling discouraged, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, I hope this episode reminds you that God is faithful. He isn't asking you to have all the answers—He's inviting you to trust Him one step at a time and believe that He's working even when you can't yet see it.   If this episode encouraged you, I'd love for you to share it with a friend or leave a review. Ep:(176) PART 2: The Story Behind How I Built a Multiple 6 Figure Business
2026/07/08
What if the breakthrough you've been praying for isn't about working harder—but about partnering with God differently?   In this episode, I'm continuing my story and sharing what happened after God opened the first door. From a viral TikTok video to landing my very first client, building a team, and eventually growing a multiple six-figure business, I'm taking you behind the scenes of the lessons I learned along the way. If you've ever struggled with imposter syndrome, wondered if you have what it takes, or felt overwhelmed trying to build your business on your own, I hope this conversation encourages you to keep taking the next faithful step.   In this episode, you'll discover: Why God often starts with a small opportunity before opening bigger doors What it means to "work the miracle" instead of waiting for perfect circumstances How sharing what you already know can become the foundation of your business Why building a successful Christian business requires both faith and faithful action The mindset shift that helped me move past imposter syndrome and embrace my calling How getting the right support and building a team helped me grow beyond six figures   If you're building a business with God at the center and wondering what your next step should be, I hope my story reminds you that your faithfulness today is preparing you for what He's building tomorrow.   From Story to Strategy to Execution, get a FREE Brand Clarity Call by filling out this form: Book your free Brand Clarity Call   Connect with Me:   TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@melissaleahughes   Melissa's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/melissaleahughes/   Rise Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/risesocialmediaagency/?hl=en   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/melissa.harrington.758   Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@melissaleahughes   If this episode encouraged you, I'd love for you to share it with another Christian entrepreneur, leave a review, or follow the podcast so you don't miss what's next. Have you ever looked at someone's success and wondered, "But how did they actually get here?"   In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on my own story—the parts that most people never see. Before the business, the team, and the multiple six-figure agency, there were years of disappointment, unanswered prayers, hidden seasons, and wondering if I'd somehow missed God's plan for my life. If you've ever felt like your dreams have fallen apart or that you've wasted years waiting for something to happen, I hope this conversation reminds you that God is never wasting your story.   In this episode, you'll discover: Why seasons of disappointment often become the foundation for your greatest purpose How God uses hidden seasons to shape your identity before expanding your influence What to do when life doesn't unfold the way you thought it would Why being honest with God about your dreams can open the door to new direction How God can accelerate what feels like lost time in ways you never imagined Encouragement for anyone walking through a wilderness season and wondering what's next   If you're in a season where you feel overlooked, discouraged, or like your story has taken an unexpected turn, I want you to know this: God hasn't forgotten you. Sometimes the most significant chapters are being written in the places that feel the most hidden.   This is just Part 1 of my journey. Next week, I'll share how God took those hidden years and used them to build a business, a team, and a life that I never could have imagined.   From Story to Strategy to Execution, get a FREE Brand Clarity Call by filling out this form: Book your free Brand Clarity Call   Connect with Me:   TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@melissaleahughes   Melissa's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/melissaleahughes/   Rise Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/risesocialmediaagency/?hl=en   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/melissa.harrington.758   Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@melissaleahughes   If this episode encouraged you, I'd love for you to share it with a friend or leave a review. Ep(174): How to Build Faith When Fear Is Loud with Emma Bryant
2026/06/24
What do you do when life takes a turn you never saw coming?   In this episode, I’m sitting down with Emma Bryant, a pastor, leader, and cancer survivor, to talk about what it looks like to build faith when fear feels louder than everything else. Emma shares her powerful story of receiving a stage 4 cancer diagnosis while she and her husband were building their church—and how she learned to fight the battle in her mind, guard her atmosphere, and keep showing up in faith one day at a time.   This conversation is for the woman walking through grief, disappointment, uncertainty, or a hard season in her business, family, health, or calling. You’ll be reminded that faith is not pretending things are easy—it’s choosing what you will believe, speak, and focus on in the middle of the fight.   In this episode, you’ll discover: How to create a personal “battle plan” when fear is loud Why discipline can help your feelings catch up How to guard your heart, conversations, and environment What it means to stay rooted when your promised land feels like a famine Encouragement for Christian women navigating business, purpose, and hard seasons   If you’re looking for Business Christian Self Help that meets you in the real stuff of life, this episode will strengthen your faith and remind you to hold on to hope.   Connect with Emma Bryant on Instagram: @braveheartconference Explore more resources: Braveheart Conference | Liverpool One Church   Looking for support in your business?
