Let the mixed messages to consumers continue. It feels like we're in the middle of a battle between drinkers and non-drinkers, and most "normal folks" aren't even paying attention. When it gets cold outside, I just sort of want to dive deep into my beer cellar... so that's exactly what we'll do tonight. This one is late - and I know it's going to be late. Hung up with working obligations, that's just how it's gotta be this week... and I don't really like it. This week is my favorite holiday - Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday to celebrate, and it's also the beginning of another one of my favorite seasons to drink in. What better way to celebrate than with a show that most certainly ISN'T a show? I keep reading articles telling me that craft beer is dead, the some kind of boom or bubble is bursting and that we're all doomed. Is that true? Also... why am I drinking Voltage Peppermint schnapps before the holiday season? What can is under the wrap? There's a lot to unpack on this week's episode!

The title might have NOTHING to do with what we ended up talking about, but that doesn't mean that we don't have a lot to talk about on this week's episode. Quite the opposite, actually. I start things off (after the regular technical difficulties) with 'The Schnappening' that was a little sweet... not peaches... but candy-like and delicious. From there we talked about everything from what's happening at Bad Tom Smith in Madisonville to the current status of 'Intoxicating Hemp' here in Ohio. The upcoming Halloween celebration wraps things up for another action packed week! Here's what I drank this week: Kruskovac Pear Liqueur, Streetside Strawberry Jelly Donut Demogorgon. I realized earlier in the day that I hadn't had a cocktail on the show (that isn't a show) for a very long time... so I figured I'd remedy that on this week's episode. I ALSO realized that in addition to not having one, I'm also a lousy bartender. These two facts combined together result in the episode's live audience creating a cocktail for me - and it ends up... interesting. To keep things a little tastier, I ended up by cracking into a can of Urban Artifact's 'Fall Bear' brown ale... a NOT sour beer from the brewery that way too many people think aren't able to make a not sour beer.
