365. How To Be Happier Every Day: 3 Simple Gratitude Habits That Actually Work
2026/10/20
Hi Mamas, What if you could feel happier, less stressed, and more fulfilled without changing your circumstances, spending money, or adding another thing to your already overflowing to-do list? As busy working moms, we're constantly looking ahead to the next thing. When work slows down, when the kids get older, when we lose the weight, when the house is finally organized... THEN we'll be happy. But what if happiness isn't something we have to keep chasing? What if we could experience more happiness right now simply by appreciating the little moments of joy already happening around us? In today's episode, we're talking about the power of practicing gratitude and how developing a gratitude mindset can help you find more happiness, appreciate everyday moments, and live a more intentional, fulfilling life. I'm sharing how gratitude has become part of my daily prayer and meditation routine, a beautiful moment with my daughter that reminded me what really matters, and the story of a woman I've never met who completely changed how I think about finding joy. We're also talking about why our brains tend to focus on negative experiences, how gratitude can help us shift our perspective, and why being thankful for your life doesn't mean you have to stop wanting more. In This Episode, You'll Learn: How practicing gratitude can help you feel happier: Why noticing the good in your everyday life can change your perspective. Why we focus on the negative: Understanding negativity bias and how it influences what we remember about our day. How to find joy in ordinary moments: Learning to appreciate the little blessings we often overlook. Three simple daily gratitude habits: Easy ways to practice gratitude in the morning, throughout the day, and before bed. How to practice gratitude during difficult seasons: Finding meaning, strength, and appreciation without pretending everything is perfect. Why gratitude and ambition can coexist: How to appreciate the life you have while continuing to pursue your dreams and create a life you love. 3 Simple Gratitude Habits to Start Today Start your morning with gratitude. Before reaching for your phone or thinking about your to-do list, spend a minute appreciating your blessings. Instead of simply listing what you're thankful for, picture the moments and people who bring you joy. Start counting your daily joys. Throughout the day, notice the little things that make you smile. A beautiful sunrise, an unexpected call from your child, a kind gesture, or even that first sip of coffee. Acknowledge those moments instead of rushing past them. End your day remembering what went right. Before bed, think about three specific things that made your day better. Instead of replaying everything that went wrong or everything you didn't accomplish, give yourself the opportunity to appreciate what went right. Your Working Mom Reminder You can be grateful for the life you have and still want more. You can appreciate your career and still want to pursue something more fulfilling. You can love being a mom and still want time for yourself. You can be thankful for your blessings while continuing to dream, grow, and work toward your goals. Gratitude isn't about settling. It's about learning to appreciate where you are while working toward where you want to be. And sometimes the most meaningful moments in life are the ones we almost miss. 364. Working Mom Mindset: How To Be Happier By Practicing Gratitude
2026/10/19
Hi Mamas, What if the secret to feeling happier isn't about changing your life, but changing what you choose to notice? As busy working moms, we're constantly thinking about what's next. Between our careers, kids, marriages, and never-ending to-do lists, it's easy to get so caught up in managing our lives that we forget to actually enjoy them. In this week's Monday Mindset episode of Mom Wife Career Life, we're talking about how practicing gratitude can help you find more happiness, appreciate the little moments, and live a more intentional life, even when things feel overwhelming. Inspired by the quote from Mary Davis, "The more grateful I am, the more beauty I see," we're exploring a simple mindset shift that can change the way you experience your everyday life. Because gratitude isn't about pretending everything is perfect. It's not about ignoring your struggles or giving up on your dreams. It's about recognizing that you can be working toward a better future while still appreciating the beautiful things happening right now. In this episode, we'll talk about: Why busy working moms often overlook the little moments that bring us joy. How practicing gratitude can help shift your mindset from what's missing to what's already good. Why you can feel overwhelmed and grateful at the same time. How to appreciate your present life without giving up on your goals and dreams. One simple gratitude challenge to help you find more joy in everyday moments. Your Monday Mindset Challenge: This week, make a conscious effort to notice the little things that bring you happiness. A beautiful sunrise, an unexpected hug from your child, a kind gesture, or even a few quiet moments in the middle of a chaotic day. When you notice something beautiful, stop for just a second. Acknowledge it. Appreciate it. And then go about your day. No extra routines, no journaling, and nothing else to add to your already full plate! Because sometimes living a happier, more fulfilling life isn't about doing more. It's about being more present for the life you're already living. Let's keep the conversation going! I'd love to hear what beautiful little moments you notice this week! Join our Facebook community, Work Life Balance for Working Moms, and share something you're grateful for. 363. How To Have Difficult Conversations When You Feel Anxious
2026/10/13
Hi Mamas, Have you ever had a difficult conversation you knew you needed to have, but kept putting it off because you were anxious about how it might go? Maybe it's talking to your boss about your workload, asking your husband for more help, addressing something with your teenager, or finally setting a boundary with someone in your life. And instead of having the conversation, you've already had it in your head about 50 times! You've rehearsed what you're going to say, imagined every possible reaction, and worked yourself up over something that hasn't even happened yet. Sound familiar, mama? I've been there! In this episode, I'm sharing practical tips to help you navigate difficult conversations, overcome communication anxiety, set healthy boundaries, and speak up with more confidence… both at work and at home. After years of struggling with difficult conversations myself, I've learned that confidence doesn't always come before the conversation. Sometimes it comes from realizing you can handle uncomfortable situations, even when things don't go exactly as planned. In this episode, we're talking about: How to calm your nerves before a difficult conversation. Why writing down your thoughts can help you communicate more clearly (and how I use ChatGPT to help!). The importance of knowing what you want to accomplish before speaking up. How to stop over-explaining and communicate with confidence. Why so many uncomfortable conversations are actually about setting healthy boundaries. How to manage your emotions when conversations don't go as expected. Why avoiding difficult conversations can lead to resentment and even bigger problems. I'm also sharing a personal experience from earlier in my corporate career that completely changed how I approach communication and leadership. 👉 And I want to hear how this week’s episode helped you! 362. Working Mom Mindset: Stop Avoiding Difficult Conversations - Choose Courage Over Comfort
2026/10/12
Hi Mamas, Do you avoid difficult conversations because you're afraid of conflict, disappointing someone, or saying the wrong thing? Whether it's speaking up at work, asking your husband for more help, setting boundaries, or addressing something that's been bothering you, avoiding uncomfortable conversations can create more stress, resentment, and overwhelm. In today’s episode, we're talking about choosing courage over comfort and learning to stop letting fear hold you back. Inspired by Brené Brown's quote, “You can choose courage, or you can choose comfort, but you cannot choose both,” we'll talk about why avoiding uncomfortable situations doesn't always protect your peace and how small acts of courage can build confidence, strengthen relationships, and help you create a healthier work-life balance. In this episode, you'll learn: Why we avoid difficult conversations, even when we know they're necessary How avoiding conflict can actually increase stress and resentment The difference between intentionally letting something go and avoiding it out of fear Why confidence often comes after taking action How choosing courage can help you set boundaries and speak up for yourself Your Monday Mindset Challenge: Think about one thing you've been avoiding because it makes you uncomfortable. What's one small step you can take this week to choose courage over comfort? Remember, mama, you don't have to feel confident to take action. Sometimes confidence comes from proving to yourself that you can do hard things. Make sure to check out episode 363! 361. How To Forgive Without an Apology: Release Resentment & Find Peace
2026/10/06
Hi Mamas, What if the person who hurt you never says, “I'm sorry”? Can you still forgive them? And maybe an even bigger question: Should you? As we head into the holiday season, I'm bringing back an episode from the Mom Wife Career Life archives that I think is worth hearing again… or maybe hearing for the very first time. Because the holidays have a way of bringing everything to the surface. Old relationships. Family tension. Hurt feelings. Resentment. Grief. Memories. And sometimes, anger we've been carrying around much longer than we realize. So today, we're talking about forgiveness without an apology. And mama, forgiveness does NOT mean pretending that what someone did was okay. It doesn't mean forgetting what happened. It doesn't mean abandoning your boundaries. And it doesn't necessarily mean letting someone back into your life. Sometimes forgiveness simply means deciding that you don't want to carry the pain anymore. In this episode, we're talking about how to forgive someone who hurt you even when they aren't sorry, why forgiveness doesn't require reconciliation, and how to begin releasing anger and resentment when you never received the closure you deserved. I'm also sharing a deeply personal part of my own story about my relationship with my dad, the anger I carried after he passed away, and how forgiveness eventually helped me release that resentment and find peace. We'll also talk about forgiving someone who is no longer here, forgiving a friendship you had to walk away from, and one of the hardest people we sometimes have to forgive: Ourselves. Because forgiveness isn't always about setting someone else free. Sometimes it's about finally setting yourself free. And at the end of the episode, I'm giving you a simple “Bless and Release” exercise you can try to help you acknowledge what you're carrying and begin letting some of it go. As you listen, I want you to ask yourself: What am I still carrying that I'm ready to put down? Maybe you're not ready to forgive today. That's okay. But maybe you're ready to stop giving something that happened in your past so much space in your present. And if you're heading into the holidays already feeling the pressure of everything that needs to get done, don't forget to grab my FREE Christmas Planning Made Simple Guide Inside, you'll find tools to help you organize your Christmas budget, gift list, activities, calendar and holiday plans so you can spend less time trying to remember everything and more time actually being present for the season. Grab your free copy using the link in the show notes. And make sure you come back next week because we're continuing this conversation by talking about something that often goes hand-in-hand with forgiveness: How to have difficult conversations. Because sometimes asking for forgiveness—or offering forgiveness—means having a conversation you've been avoiding. We'll talk about how to say what needs to be said, communicate how you're feeling, and navigate difficult conversations with the people you care about. Until then, mama, remember: Forgiveness doesn't erase the story. It changes how you carry it forward. 👉 And I want to hear what you’re moving forward with this week! 360. Working Mom Mindset: How To Let Go Of Anger & Make Room For Peace
2026/10/05
Hi Mamas, Anger takes up too much space in a heart that deserves peace.” This week, we’re talking about forgiveness… and before we can talk about forgiveness, we have to talk about one of the biggest things that can get in the way of it: anger. Because here's the thing, mama: sometimes you have every right to be angry. Someone hurt you. Someone disappointed you. A boundary was crossed. Maybe you never received the apology you deserved. And letting go of your anger does NOT mean that what happened was okay. But there’s a difference between feeling anger and carrying anger. When we carry anger with us, we replay the conversation. We think about what they said, what we should have said, and what we wish we could go back and change. And all that takes up mental and emotional space… space that could be filled with peace, joy, gratitude, connection and presence. In this short Monday Mindset episode, we’re talking about how to recognize the anger you’re still carrying and ask an important question: Do I have a right to be angry? Maybe I absolutely do. But do I want to keep carrying it? Because holding onto anger doesn't change what happened. It doesn't change what someone said or did, and it can't force someone to give you the apology you deserve. But it can affect how much of your life you're able to enjoy right now. YOUR MONDAY MINDSET CHALLENGE: This week, think about one thing you're still angry about. Don't judge yourself for it. Don't try to force yourself to forgive before you're ready. Instead, when that anger comes up, pause and ask yourself: How much space am I willing to keep giving this? Then ask: What is it costing me to carry it? Your peace? Your energy? Your presence? Your happiness? Another relationship? Sometimes the first step toward forgiveness isn't saying, “I forgive you.” Sometimes it's simply realizing: “I don't want to carry this anymore.” And make sure you come back tomorrow because we're continuing this conversation with an important episode from the Mom Wife Career Life archives: Forgiveness Without an Apology: Releasing the Weight We Were Never Meant to Carry. We'll talk about how to begin forgiving someone even when you never received an apology, how forgiveness and boundaries can coexist, and why forgiveness isn't necessarily about setting the other person free… it's about setting yourself free. 👉 And I want to hear what you’re moving forward with this week! 359. How to Stop Overthinking and Start Taking Action (Even When You Don’t Feel Ready)
2026/09/29
Hi Mamas,  Have you ever had something you REALLY wanted to do…but you thought about it so much that you eventually talked yourself right out of doing it?  You researched. You planned. You worried about what could go wrong and what other people might think. You told yourself you’d start when you had more time, knew more, felt more confident, or finally had everything figured out.  And then…you didn’t start.  Mama, this episode is for you. And if I’m being real, it’s for me too.  Right now, I’m in a season of dreaming BIG for Mom Wife Career Life. I’m building courses and resources, coaching, growing the podcast, learning more about marketing, and pushing myself WAY outside of my comfort zone by showing up more on video and social media.  As an introvert and recovering perfectionist, that doesn’t exactly come naturally to me. 😂  But I’m realizing that there comes a point when we have to stop thinking about the thing…and actually DO the thing.  In this episode, we’re talking about the difference between preparing and hiding, why consuming more information can sometimes become another form of procrastination, and why you don’t have to feel confident before you begin.  Because confidence usually comes AFTER you start.  Your first workout doesn’t need to be perfect. Your first budget doesn’t need to be perfect. Your first Reel, podcast, business idea, boundary, career move, or attempt at something new doesn’t need to be perfect.  You learn by doing.  You build confidence by doing.  And sometimes 80% and DONE will take you much further than 100% perfect sitting unfinished on your computer.  I’m also sharing what manifesting looks like for me right now—not simply wishing for something and hoping it magically happens, but getting clear about what I want, believing it’s possible, and then asking myself:  What do I need to DO to move toward it?  Because manifesting the life you want isn’t just about believing it’s possible. It’s about being willing to participate in creating it.  In this episode, we talk about:  How overthinking can disguise itself as “preparing”  Why you don’t have to feel ready before you start  The connection between action and confidence  How perfectionism keeps us stuck  Why learning and getting help are valuable—but eventually you have to DO something with what you learn  Taking action when you’re scared or uncomfortable  Why one small next step is enough  The role action plays in manifesting your goals  What I’m personally doing to push myself outside my comfort zone and grow Mom Wife Career Life  Your Next Step  Think about the thing you keep saying you’ll do “when.”  When work slows down.  When the kids are older.  When you have more money.  When you lose the weight.  When you know more.  When you’re more confident.  When you finally feel ready.  What if you don’t need to wait for “when”?  You don’t need to figure out the next twenty steps today.  Just take one.  Send the email. Make the appointment. Apply for the job. Take the walk. Sign up for the class. Post the video. Start the budget. Buy the domain. Have the conversation. Ask for help.  Whatever your thing is… take one step.  ✨ Goal Manifesting Planner  If there’s something you want but you’ve been stuck overthinking it, grab my Goal Manifesting Planner.  Use it to get clear about what you want, visualize where you’re going, and… most importantly… break your big goals down into action you can actually take.  Goal Manifesting Planner … You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be fearless. And you definitely don’t have to do it perfectly.  You just have to start.  👉 And I want to hear what you’re moving forward with this week! 358. Working Mom Mindset: Maximizers Get Things Done: Stop Overthinking and Just Move
2026/09/28
Hi Mamas,  Have you ever told yourself you’re “just doing a little more research” when really… you’re overthinking the heck out of something? 🙋‍♀️  In today’s Monday Mindset episode, I’m sharing a quote from my coach, Michelle Cunningham, that stopped me in my tracks:  “Maximizers get things done. We don’t overthink it, we just move!”  As a recovering perfectionist, I needed this reminder… and maybe you do too.  Because perfectionism has a sneaky way of disguising itself as productivity. We research. We plan. We tweak. We make another list. We tell ourselves we’ll start when we have more time, more confidence, more information or a better plan.  But sometimes we’re not actually moving forward. We’re just doing a whole lot of thinking about moving forward.  In this quick Monday Mindset episode, we’re talking about why you don’t need to have steps two through ten figured out before taking step one.  I’m also sharing how starting Mom Wife Career Life taught me this lesson firsthand. I didn’t know exactly where the podcast would go when I started. I didn’t have hundreds of episodes planned or every piece of my brand figured out.  I simply knew I had something I wanted to say.  So I started.  And then I learned, adjusted and figured things out along the way.  Because sometimes confidence doesn’t come before you take action. Confidence is built because you take action.  We’ll also talk about why getting things done doesn’t always mean doing more. Your next move might actually be saying no, delegating something, setting a boundary or protecting your time.  Because the goal isn’t to become the mom who can do everything.  The goal is to become the woman who knows what deserves her time.  Your Monday Mindset Challenge  Think about ONE thing you’ve been overthinking.  Maybe it’s applying for a new job, starting a business, beginning a workout routine, posting the video, having a difficult conversation, setting a boundary, making an appointment or finally starting that idea you’ve been thinking about forever.  Ask yourself:  What is the smallest move I can make today?  You don’t need the whole plan.  You just need the next move.  Less overthinking. Less waiting for perfect. Less convincing yourself that you need to have everything figured out.  Just move.  One decision. One action. One step at a time.  👉 And I want to hear what you’re moving forward with this week! 357. Your Kids Grow Up Fast: 5 Time Management Lessons Every Working Mom Needs To Hear
2026/09/22
Hi Mamas, Everyone tells you when your kids are little, “It goes so fast.” And you know it does. But I don't think you fully understand HOW fast until you reach one of those milestones that makes you stop and wonder where all those years went. I recently dropped my oldest daughter off at college, and I'm going to be completely honest with you... nothing prepared me for driving away without her. We spent months preparing for college. We toured schools, filled out applications, made decisions and bought what felt like half of Target to furnish one tiny dorm room. 😂 But you can't really prepare yourself for the moment when you hug your child goodbye, get into your car and realize that a chapter of motherhood has ended. And it has made me think A LOT about time. When I look back over the last 18 years, I don't see a perfect mom. I worked full time. I built a career. I had stressful seasons. I rushed. I lost my patience. I got distracted. I made plenty of mistakes. But I can honestly say this: I was there for the things that mattered to me. And THAT is why I talk so much about time management. It's not about figuring out how to squeeze even more into your already packed day. Most working moms are already doing WAY too much. It's about getting really clear on what matters to you and making sure the way you're spending your time actually reflects it. In today's episode, I'm sharing the very real emotions of dropping my first baby off at college, what this new season of motherhood is teaching me, and five lessons I want every working mom to hear BEFORE another season passes by. In this episode, we talk about: ✨ Why better time management isn't always about getting more done ✨ How to decide what matters most in THIS season of your life ✨ Why you can't keep waiting for life to “slow down” ✨ How to create space before busy or emotional seasons arrive ✨ One question to ask your future self when deciding what deserves your time ✨ Why the ordinary moments with your kids often become the ones you miss the most ✨ How to be where your feet are and actually experience the life happening around you ✨ Why doing LESS can sometimes be the best time management decision you make One of the biggest questions I want you to take away from this episode is: “When this season of my life is over, what will I wish I had made more time for?” Really think about your answer. Because whatever it is, that's probably something that deserves more space in your life right now. Not someday. Now. And mama, this isn't about guilt. You don't need to attend every event, make every dinner from scratch, play with your kids every second you're home or give up the goals and dreams you have for yourself. You don't have to do ALL the things. You just need to know which things are YOUR things. 👉 FREE RESOURCE: Boundaries Made Simple One of the ways we make room for what matters is by protecting our time. If you struggle with saying no, protecting your personal time, shutting work off or setting boundaries without feeling guilty, grab my FREE Boundaries Made Simple Guide for Working Moms. It will help you start setting realistic boundaries at work, at home and with yourself so you can create more room for the people, priorities and goals that matter most to you. 356. Working Mom Mindset: You Can’t Stop Time: How Working Moms Can Be More Intentional With Their Time
2026/09/21
Hi Mamas, How many times do you get to the end of the day and wonder, Where did the day go? You were busy ALL day. You answered emails, sat through meetings, drove kids where they needed to go, figured out dinner, took care of the house, remembered the 47 things everyone else forgot…and probably moved the same pile of laundry more than once. But did you make time for anything that really mattered to YOU? This week’s Monday Mindset is: You can’t stop time from passing, but you can decide how you spend it. As working moms, we don’t have complete control over our time. We have jobs, kids, appointments, activities, responsibilities and people who apparently expect to eat every single day. 😂 But we have more choices than we sometimes realize. And being intentional with your time isn’t about squeezing MORE into your already packed schedule. It’s about getting clear on what deserves your time in the first place. Today, we’re talking about ✨ The difference between being busy and intentional ✨ Why the most urgent thing isn’t always the most important thing ✨How the small choices we make every day ultimately determine where our time goes Because you can have an incredibly productive day and still get to the end of it feeling like you didn’t have time for what mattered most. 💛 This Week's Challenge Every morning this week, ask yourself: “What is ONE thing I want to make time for today?” Maybe it’s taking a walk. Sitting down to actually eat lunch. Putting your phone away when your kids get home. Talking with your husband. Calling a friend. Going to bed earlier. Spending time on a goal you keep putting off. It doesn’t have to be big. Choose one thing that matters to you and intentionally make space for it. At the end of the week, look back at the seven things you chose. Those little moments matter. Time is going to pass either way. Let’s make sure we’re being intentional about how we spend it. 355. Why Does Mom Have to Know Everything? How to Get the Family Mental Load Out of Your Head
2026/09/15
Hi Mamas,  Have you ever had someone in your family ask, “What time is my appointment?” or “What are we doing for dinner?” and wondered why you’re the only person who knows the answer?  As working moms, we spend so much time keeping track of the details that make our families run. And sometimes, even when someone else is helping, we’re still the person responsible for remembering, reminding, and coordinating everything.  In this episode, I’m sharing how to create a simple family information hub so everyone knows where to find the information they need… and you don’t have to be the family’s personal Google.  We’ll talk about how to make family organization a shared responsibility, why delegating a task isn’t the same as handing over ownership, and how a few simple systems can help you get some of that mental space back.  In this episode, we’ll talk about:  Create one place for family information: Choose a shared calendar, notes app, or simple system that your family will actually use.  Make it a shared system: Get your spouse and kids involved in adding information instead of being the only person managing it.  Give responsibilities an owner: Learn the difference between asking someone to help and having them take ownership of a task.  Have a simple weekly check-in: Spend a few minutes looking at the week ahead so you can plan for busy nights, appointments, and activities.  Stop being the answer to every question: Teach your family to use the system and take more responsibility for their own schedules and needs.  You don’t need a perfectly organized home or an elaborate family command center. You just need a place for information to live, a system everyone can access, and a willingness to stop carrying every detail yourself.  Because creating more balance isn’t always about finding more time. Sometimes it’s about making sure everything doesn’t have to depend on you.  👉 Come share how this week’s episodes helped you in  our free Facebook community Work-Life Balance For Working Moms and help inspire other moms just like you!  ⭐ If this episode gave you a little boost, please take a moment to leave a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify… your reviews help more amazing moms find the show! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  📌 Grab Your Freebies!  🔥 Boundaries Made Simple… guilt-free scripts, mindset shifts, and a “guilt-detox” checklist  💖 Goal Manifesting Planner … map your dreams with bite-size prompts  🥗 Stress Free Weeknight Dinners Guide… reclaim your evenings (and your sanity)  📱 Tech Time-Out for Moms Guide… ditch the scroll and win back precious minutes  🧹 Spring Cleaning Checklist… because clutter steals time, too  🎅Christmas Planning Guide… yes, early prep counts as self-care  💻ChatGPT Prompts Made Simple for Moms.. simply cut and paste  Want to connect with other amazing moms?  Join us in our Facebook group, Work-Life Balance For Working Moms, where we share tips, support, and inspiration every day!  ⏰ Ready for 1:1 support? ⏰  If you’re looking to get control of your schedule and make time for amazing family memories, book a FREE discovery call with me today!   Love & Light,   Kerri  Let's keep the conversation going. 354. Working Mom Mindset: Your Time Isn't Just Spent on What you Do, It's Spent on What You Are Trying To Remember
2026/09/14
Hi Mamas,  Have you ever gotten to the end of the day and thought, I don’t even know what I did today, but I am exhausted?  You might have checked things off your to-do list, answered emails, taken care of the kids, and gotten dinner on the table. But there was also a whole other list running through your head all day long.  The appointment you need to schedule. The school form you can’t forget. The work deadline coming up. The birthday gift you need to order. And the fact that you’re almost out of milk.  In this Monday Mindset episode, I’m talking about the mental load of motherhood and why our time isn’t just spent on what we physically do—it’s also spent on everything we have to remember.  Our mindset shift this week is:  “Your time isn’t just spent on what you do—it’s spent on what you have to remember.”  I’ll share why even a productive day can leave us feeling mentally drained, how trying to remember everything takes up valuable space, and why creating more balance sometimes starts with getting things out of our heads instead of trying to fit more into our schedules.  In this episode, we’ll talk about:  Why the invisible work of remembering can be just as exhausting as completing the tasks themselves.  How working moms carry information between work, home, kids, appointments, and everyday responsibilities.  Why a beautifully organized calendar doesn’t always mean your mind feels organized.  How to stop treating every thought that pops into your head like it needs immediate attention.  Why trusted systems and shared responsibilities can help reduce the mental load.  How to create more space to be present with your family and enjoy the time you already have.  💛 This Week's Challenge  Take five or ten minutes to do a mental unload. Write down everything you’re currently trying to remember—work things, home things, appointments, errands, conversations, and all the little details taking up space in your head.  Then ask yourself:  What can I put into a system so I don’t have to keep remembering it?  What can someone else take ownership of?  And what doesn’t actually need my attention right now?  You don’t have to solve everything on the list. The goal is simply to stop carrying all of it around with you.  Because your brain deserves a break from being the family calendar, the work project tracker, the grocery list, and the reminder app all at the same time.  👉 Come share what mindset shift helped you this week in  our free Facebook community Work-Life Balance For Working Moms and help inspire other moms just like you! 353. Why You Can't Parent Every Kid The Same & How To Not Feel Guilty About It
2026/09/08
Hi Mamas,  If you have more than one child, you already know—you can raise them in the same house, with the same parents, and somehow end up with completely different human beings.  What works with one of your kids may completely backfire with another. One may need more structure and boundaries, while another needs you to back off and give them more independence. One may want comfort and reassurance when they’re upset, while another needs space.  And yet, as moms, we can put so much pressure on ourselves to make everything “fair.”  But fair doesn’t always mean equal.  In this episode, I’m talking about why loving your kids equally doesn’t mean parenting them exactly the same. I share how I’ve learned to pay attention to the child in front of me, adjust the way I parent based on what each of my kids needs, and let go of some of the guilt that can come with treating our kids differently.  We’ll talk about:  The difference between fair and equal when parenting multiple children  How to recognize what each of your kids actually needs from you  Why different personalities may require different parenting approaches  How to adjust your parenting as your kids grow and change  What to do when siblings notice they’re being treated differently  Why different doesn’t mean favorite  How to avoid comparing or labeling your kids  Simple ways to make each of your children feel seen, heard and valued  Because our job isn’t to parent every one of our kids exactly the same.  It’s to get to know them, meet them where they are, and give them what they need from us in the season they’re in.  Same love. Different delivery.  And sometimes loving our children equally means showing up for them differently.  👉 Come share what mindset shift helped you this week in  our free Facebook community Work-Life Balance For Working Moms and help inspire other moms just like you! 352. Working Mom Mindset: Sometimes Loving Your Children Equally Means Showing Up for Them Differently
2026/09/07
Hi Mamas,  Do you ever feel guilty because you parent one of your kids differently than another?  Maybe one child needs more structure while another thrives with independence. One needs reassurance and connection, while another needs you to step back and give them space.  And then comes the mom guilt…  Am I being fair?  Today we’re talking about an important reminder for moms raising multiple children:  “Sometimes loving your children equally means showing up for them differently.”  Because equal love doesn’t always mean equal parenting.  Our kids are individuals. They have different personalities, challenges, strengths, triggers and emotional needs…and part of intentional parenting is learning who each child is and what they need from us in this season of their life.  In this episode, we’re talking about  ✨ Letting go of the pressure to parent every child exactly the same   ✨Recognizing the difference between fair and equal   ✨Releasing the mom guilt that can creep in when one child needs more of you than another.  We’ll also talk about why your parenting approach has to evolve as your kids grow. What worked when they were eight may not work when they’re thirteen, and what one child needs from you may look completely different from what their sibling needs.  💛Your Monday Mindset Challenge:  Think about one situation where you’ve been feeling guilty because you’re handling things differently between your children.  Instead of asking:  “Am I being fair?”  Ask yourself:  “What does this child need from me right now?”  Maybe it’s structure. Maybe it’s reassurance. Maybe it’s a boundary. Maybe it’s independence. Or maybe they simply need their mom to sit beside them and listen.  You don’t have to parent your children identically to love them equally.  Sometimes loving them equally means showing up for them differently.  🎧 And come back tomorrow! We’re taking this conversation even deeper and talking about why you can’t parent every child the same, how to recognize what each child needs, how to navigate those inevitable “That’s not fair!” moments, and how to make sure each of your kids feels seen, heard and loved.  👉 Come share what mindset shift helped you this week in  our free Facebook community Work-Life Balance For Working Moms and help inspire other moms just like you!
