"Do It For Yourself"
2026/10/11
The Swamp booed at homecoming. Florida lost 38-19 to South Carolina, its second straight lopsided loss, and the No. 1 team in the country is up next. Here’s what went wrong and where the Gators go from here.
🐊 THE GAME
South Carolina 38, Florida 19. It’s Florida’s first loss to the Gamecocks since 2021 and its second-most lopsided loss in the series.LaNorris Sellers had a career kind of day: 23-of-35 for 279 yards, 4 passing TDs and a rushing TD, with zero turnovers.Three Florida turnovers: two Aaron Philo interceptions? No. Philo threw one interception and lost a fumble, and Tramell Jones Jr. threw a late interception. South Carolina had none.A fast start that faded: Philo hit Bailey Stockton for a 59-yard TD on the third play of the game. Stockton finished with 8 catches for 127 yards. The end of the first half: Florida settled for a field goal from the SC 9. Then Vicari Swain’s interception set up a Gamecock TD, Florida let the clock run, and Patrick Durkin missed a 43-yarder as time expired.Sumrall owns it: “I’m frustrated with every part of what we did today. It starts with me.”
📉 THE BIGGER PICTURE
Florida started 4-0 and climbed into the Top 10, and is now 4-2 (2-2 SEC) after a 45-17 loss at Missouri and this one.Injuries: WR Vernell Brown III (knee) missed a second straight game, and RB Duke Clark (ankle) left in the first quarter.Next: at No. 1 Texas on Saturday at noon, then a bye, then No. 2 Georgia in Atlanta.

It's Jon Sumrall's first SEC win, Florida's first win at Auburn since 1999, and its best start since 2019. Dan, Nick, Jordan, and Corry go through the stats to explain how Florida won it and what has to get fixed before Ole Miss.
🔥 The Jadan Baugh Show
26 carries, 162 yards, 3 TDs (2, 33 and 53 yards) against an Auburn defense that had allowed just 2.2 yards per carry coming inThe 53-yard TD on 4th-and-1 from midfield made it 41–24Four straight 100-yard, multi-TD games. He has 458 yards and 8 TDs through three games, already matching his TD total from all of last seasonYes, we're talking about the Heisman pose
📊 Offense: Buster Faulkner's best game yet
495 total yards, split almost evenly: 243 rushing, 252 passingSix straight scoring drives of 65 yards or more (4 TDs, 2 FGs)5-for-5 in the red zone, 3-for-3 on fourth down, 10-for-18 on third and fourth downs combined39:16 time of possession to Auburn's 20:44. The INT bounced off Baugh's handsKahleil Jackson threw a double pass to Amir Jackson for 48 yardsVernell Brown III (5 catches, 86 yards) and Dallas Wilson (4 catches, 74 yards, TD)
🛡️ Defense: the pass rush finally showed up
7 sacks and 9 tackles for loss. Jayden Woods and Emmanuel Oyebadejo led the pass rushCormani McClain intercepted Brown on Auburn's third play of the gameAuburn finished with only 102 rushing yardsThe concern: Brown still threw for 271 yards and 3 TDs, and Auburn outscored Florida 22–10 late to make it a one-score game

Game Day Eve: Florida vs. Auburn ft. Geoff Collins
2026/09/18
Former Florida Gators defensive coordinator Geoff Collins joins Stadium and Gale for Game Day Eve ahead of Florida's SEC opener at Auburn.
Coach Collins ran the Gators defense during the 2015 and 2016 SEC East title seasons. He's also been a head coach at Temple and Georgia Tech, and a coordinator at Mississippi State and UNC. Tonight he tells us how he'd game plan against Byrum Brown and Alex Golesh's offense, and what Aaron Philo is up against in his first road start at Jordan-Hare. We also get into whether Jon Sumrall's Gators can end their six-game road losing streak.
Florida comes in 2-0 after wins over FAU (66-21) and Campbell (52-3), with Jadan Baugh on three straight 100-yard games and Vernell Brown III coming off a record punt return night. Auburn is 2-0 under Golesh, and he and Brown are the same pair that beat Florida with USF last year.
Plus stories from Collins' time in Gainesville coaching Vernon Hargreaves, Keanu Neal, Jalen Tabor and more, his take on South Carolina ahead of Oct. 10, and his new college football breakdown channel.
Game Day Eve is presented by Coastal Yacht Sales and Gallo Carwash.
