Miami struck out on portal quarterbacks until they got a big fish! Now-former Duke QB Darian Mensah is going to be QB1 in the Gables and is bringing his top target, Cooper Barkate. Miami's offense has a chance to be elite. The boys are stoked! The 2026 schedule was released. While the schedule favors Miami being back in the playoffs, it includes three Friday-night games and a Thursday-night game. Why does the ACC continue to poop all over one of its star brands? Dabo Swinney went on a rant about Ole Miss tampering and convincing a Clemson portal player to pick up and move to Oxford. It was a tough loss. The Miami Hurricanes lost to the Indiana Hoosiers 27-21 in the National Championship game at Hard Rock Stadium. Despite having a rough start on offense, the Hurricanes found the end zone in the second half and had the ball with a chance to win the game before Carson Beck threw an interception. Ken Dorsey is a Miami Hurricanes legend. His name was put into the University of Miami Ring of Honor this season, and his regular-season record of 38-2 may never be matched again in Coral Gables. He led Miami to a National Championship and should have won a second. He certainly knows what it's like to play football on the biggest stage. The U is HERE! The University of Miami Hurricanes have made it back to the National Championship game for the first time since the 2002 season. Indiana is a juggernaut of a team and would be the first team to go 16-0 in FBS college football history if they win this game. Indiana's offense is led by Heisman Trophy winner and South Florida native, Fernando Mendoza. They have outstanding players at WR and RB. They have a really good offensive line. Miami's defense will have its work cut out for it. The Miami offense will face a defense that they call the "Illusion Defense," because by the time the QB has the snap in their hands, the defense has changed its look. Joaquin Gonzalez, along with Ed Reed, was one of the two most vocal leaders on the greatest college football team of all time. He was an All-American and set the standard for the 2001 National Champions. It was one of the best college football postseason games of the last two decades, and at its end, the University of Miami Hurricanes beat the Ole Miss Rebels 31-27. Mark Fletcher, Carson Beck, Malachi Toney, Keelan Marion, Marty Brown,  and the rest of the Miami offense got it done when it mattered. The Miami Defense played as a unit and was able to do enough to prevent Trinidad Chambliss and them boyz from beating them in the end. They fought through penalties and injuries, dropped interceptions, and the flu to finally evict the demons of the Fiesta Bowl curse that the Canes have had for 40 years. The Ole Miss Rebels may be without Lane Kiffin, but they are proving to be a juggernaut in the college football postseason. The Miami Hurricanes have surprised many, but not Canes fans who have seen this team get better and better as the the CFP has moved along. The Miami defense will have its hands full with a dynamic playmaker in Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss. He uses his legs to make big pass plays happen. The Miami Hurricanes went to Dallas and Jerry's World and proved all of the doubters wrong, winning their second College Football Playoff game, beating Ohio State. The Hurricanes were dominant up front on both sides of the football, and they did enough in both the run game and the passing game to get the W. The story, though, was Corey Heatherman's defense. It was just stellar. Sure, Jeremiah Smith got his, but otherwise, OSU could not get anything else going. The Hurricanes move on to the Fiesta Bowl to play the winner of UGA/Ole Miss. This was the easiest show we have ever done. The Canes went into College Station, into Kyle Field, battled the 12th Man, and got the win over the mighty SEC Texas A&M Aggies. It wasn't a pretty game at times. Miami's passing offense was poor. But between Mark Fletcher Jr., Malachi Toney, and a defense that looked as good as any defense that has ever worn the Orange and Green, Miami pulled off what some may have called an upset.
