Should You Keep the House After Divorce? 5 Questions to Ask
2026/10/23
Should You Keep the House After Divorce? 5 Questions to Ask
Should you keep your marital home after divorce, or is it time to let go and create a new beginning?
If you're navigating divorce and struggling with the decision to stay in your family home or move somewhere new, I want you to know that there is no right or wrong answer. What matters is understanding where your decision is coming from.
In this episode, I share 5 important questions to ask yourself when deciding whether to keep your house after divorce or let it go.
Your home is more than just a building. It's filled with memories, emotions, routines, and a sense of security. But sometimes, holding on to the house can mean holding on to a part of your life that you're ready to move beyond.
Together, we'll explore how to make this deeply personal decision from a place of emotional clarity rather than fear.
In this video, we'll explore:
How does your body feel when you return to your marital home?
If money weren't an object, would you still choose this home today?
Are you staying to protect yourself, someone else, or your marriage?
Are you keeping the house because it feels right, or because letting go feels scary?
What does the woman you're becoming need in her next chapter of life?
I'll also share how you can reclaim your marital home if you decide to stay, or how to emotionally let go and create a new beginning if you choose to move forward.
Remember, your home isn't just a building. It's the place where you feel safe, authentic, and free to be yourself. And you have the power to create that feeling wherever you go.
💜 JOURNAL PROMPT
"If my home could reflect who I am becoming, it would..."

💬 Have you struggled with the decision to keep your marital home or move on?

Why Some Men Turn Cruel After Divorce: 3 Archetypes of Cruelty
2026/10/16
Did your former husband become cruel, hostile, or resentful after divorce? Has he used your children as leverage, shifted blame onto you, or made it difficult for you to move forward? If so, you're not alone.
In this episode, I sit down with Kim Petersen, USA Today bestselling author, writer, and certified holistic and metaphysical practitioner, to explore the three archetypes of men who may become difficult or hostile after divorce. We discuss why some former partners struggle with separation, avoid accountability, or find it difficult to see their ex-partners move forward and thrive.
💜 In This Episode, Kim and I Discuss:
• The Possessive Man: How controlling behavior can continue after divorce and affect a woman's ability to heal.
• The Guilty Man: Why some former partners avoid taking responsibility for their actions and shift the blame onto their ex-wives.
• The Ego-Wounded Man: How wounded self-esteem, resentment, and a loss of identity may contribute to hostility after separation.
• Co-Parenting Challenges: How children can become caught in conflict between former partners.
• Healing After Divorce: How to rebuild your identity, confidence, and self-trust after a difficult relationship.
• Setting Healthy Boundaries: Why limiting unnecessary communication, avoiding arguments, and documenting important interactions can help you move forward.
• Finding Yourself Again: How self-reflection, spirituality, and personal growth can help you reconnect with yourself and build a healthier future.
How Can You Start Healing After Divorce?
Kim shares insights from her personal experiences and years of writing about relationships. We explore the importance of recognizing unhealthy patterns, setting boundaries, taking responsibility for our own part in a relationship, and learning to trust ourselves again.
Divorce can be challenging, even when you're the one who chooses to leave. After years of sharing your life with someone, rediscovering who you are and what you want can take time. If you've experienced controlling behavior, manipulation, or hostility from a former partner, this conversation may help you feel less alone and understand some of the challenges you may be facing.

2026/10/09
What if your ex wasn't simply a mistake? What if understanding why you chose them could help you stop repeating the same relationship patterns?
In this episode, I sit down with dating and relationship coach Jennifer Kugelman to explore why we often find ourselves attracted to the same types of partners, why emotionally unavailable relationships can feel familiar, and how subconscious beliefs may influence our choices in love.
If you're healing after divorce, struggling with an unfulfilling marriage, or wondering why your relationships seem to follow the same painful patterns, this conversation will help you reflect on your experiences and begin looking inward with greater compassion.
Together, Jennifer and I discuss how childhood experiences can shape our understanding of love, why we sometimes seek partners who seem capable of healing our deepest emotional wounds, and how recognizing these patterns can help us reclaim our personal power.
By understanding your relationship patterns through this new perspective, you can begin to make healthier choices, break old cycles, and HEAL from the emotional wounds that have affected your relationships. Your past relationships do not have to define your future. 🦋

How Silent Separation Slowly Steals Your Joy (Silent Separation Series - The Spirit)
2026/10/02
Have you ever wondered, “Where did my joy go?”
Silent separation can happen long before a marriage officially ends. You may still be living together, caring for your family and going through the motions, yet slowly lose your sense of aliveness, freedom, connection, and happiness. You also may be divorced and just discovering there is a term to describe what you went though while you were married, and it is important to dive into this to enhance your healing journey.
In this final episode of the Silent Separation Series, we explore how emotional disconnection can quietly steal your joy and what you can begin doing to reconnect with yourself.
This episode is about choosing joy, rebuilding self-trust, and healing from the inside out, whether you are divorced, separated, or still married and feeling stuck or disconnected.

You’ll learn how to:
• Recognize how silent separation can affect your sense of joy and aliveness
• Understand the role fear can play in keeping you stuck
• Reconnect with the parts of yourself you may have quietly abandoned
• Create a personal Joy Audit and identify things that used to light you up
• Become more comfortable with solitude and intentional alone time
• Give yourself permission to experience joy without needing to justify it
• Try new experiences outside your normal routine
• Turn joy into a regular practice through scheduled “joy appointments”
• Take small steps toward healing, confidence, and creating a new chapter
Healing does not always happen through one major breakthrough. Sometimes it begins with small moments that help you remember who you are, what you want, and what makes you feel alive again.
And if you are still in your marriage and experiencing silent separation, you do not have to make an immediate decision about leaving. You can begin by working on yourself, reconnecting with your needs, and making decisions from a more grounded place.
This episode concludes the Silent Separation Series:

Feeling It in the Body

Silent Separation: The Hidden Reason You Feel/Felt So Alone in Your Marriage
2026/09/11
Are you divorced and not sure what happened to YOU in your marriage that left you feeling disconnected? Or perhaps you are still married but feel emotionally disconnected, alone, or like a part of you has already "left" the relationship?
In this episode, Rachel Ruby explores Silent Separation, a term she uses to describe what happens when a woman remains physically present in her marriage but has emotionally disengaged from the relationship. You may still share a home, handle responsibilities, work, cook, clean, raise children, and do everything you normally do, yet feel numb, distant, or completely disconnected from your spouse.
Silent separation can happen long before divorce, and many women may experience it without ever having a name for what they are feeling. Recognizing it can be an important first step toward understanding yourself, ending self-abandonment, and beginning your healing journey.
This is the first episode in a 4 part series navigating silent separation, where you will learn to name it, feel it, reclaim it, and choose it so you can heal. 🦋
Rachel shares her own experience of living through silent separation during the final years of her marriage, including how she felt emotionally numb, avoided intimacy and connection, and eventually experienced a powerful wake-up call during a trip to Thailand.
This episode is for women who are currently married and experiencing emotional disconnection, as well as divorced women looking back and realizing they may have experienced silent separation before their marriage ended.
If you are still married, this is not support for getting divorced. Whether you stay or leave is your decision. The focus is on understanding what happened, reconnecting with yourself, and beginning the healing process from a place of truth rather than silence.
What You’ll Learn
🦋 What silent separation really means
🦋 The signs that you may be emotionally checked out of your marriage
🦋 Why you can feel alone even while living with your spouse
🦋 How emotional disconnection can affect intimacy and partnership

Why You Keep Attracting the Same Type of Person After Divorce
2026/09/09
Why do you keep attracting the same type of person after divorce, even when you know you want something different?
In this episode, we explore the surprising connection between your nervous system, attraction, and relationship patterns after divorce. Sometimes what feels like chemistry or an intense connection may actually be familiarity.
Your nervous system can become accustomed to certain emotional patterns, including tension, chaos, people-pleasing, and feeling responsible for someone else's emotions. This can lead you to repeat relationship patterns without even realizing it.
We explore 5 common patterns that can keep you repeating unhealthy relationship dynamics after divorce:
Mistaking emotional intensity for love or chemistry.
Being attracted to people who need fixing or rescuing.
Ignoring your own needs to avoid conflict or keep the relationship peaceful.
Ignoring your intuition when something feels familiar or "off."
Feeling especially attracted to someone when they pursue or choose you intensely.
You'll also learn why healthy love can sometimes feel boring after a chaotic relationship, why familiarity isn't always the same as safety, and why slowing down can help you recognize who someone really is.
If you're dating after divorce, healing from a difficult marriage, or wondering why you keep attracting the same type of partner, this episode will help you recognize the patterns and begin creating healthier relationships.
✨ Remember: You cannot change a pattern you won't name.
