Slow news week, eh? Hannah returns to kick the dead horse that is Sky Sports Halo, whilst Jacob also makes a Wicked related promise to the listeners ahead of the East Mids Derby. In a bumper news section, we talk Abby Dow's retirement, PWR referee initiatives and sifting through a bunch of great work that Jess Bunyard has been getting up to for the club lately. In a short review of the Sarries game, we ask if reinforcements are needed in the pack given scrum issues and a growing injury list. After another heavy defeat against Saracens Women, Jacob thought it would be cool to do something a bit different to lighten the mood, therefore Zoe McGrady of BBC Radio Leicester dials in to chat about her journey to hosting the Women's Sport Show, her background being a Leicester City groundskeeper and her love for the Tigers Women team. Back from Tigers' bye week in the PWR and we have a bumper episode for you. Sam Bytheway, the brains behind the fantastic Women's Rugby Show, brings his expertise on the women's game to chat about the recent news of the PWR doing a long overdue study to look into the declining presence of female coaches in the sport, whilst also previewing this weekend's fixture against Saracens. Also included in this episode is an exclusive interview with Tigers' flyhalf Kristin Bitter, who chats about the differences between playing in the PWR and WER, her newfound admiration for Welford Road and her love for dates at Big Tescos. It is the 50th episode of the LTW Fancast, and Jacob is joined by Bristol fan Rugby Julia tuning in from the US of A to have a (hopefully) productive reflection on Tigers' unfortunate 74-0 defeat to the Bears in the PWR, as the list of women's rugby podcasts that Julia has not been on gets ever closer to zero. Apparently, Tigers were hapless and got thrashed by a merciless omnipotent Sale Sharks side and then made the scoreline a bit more acceptable in the second half, according to some online and in the med-i-yah. Jacob is joined by Hannah to go through why that wasn't quite the case at all, breaking down how ill-discipline was Tigers' undoing before praising the awesome fightback. Despite promising otherwise, we make the same argument endlessly which is basically just, the platform is there, it just needs time for connections to build. On Saturday 25th October, 246 (246???) days after the last league outing, Leicester Tigers Women will be playing their season opener against the auld enemy Sale Sharks, emboldened by former Tigers coaches Tom Hudson and Luke Stratford and a host of ex-Tigers players. To go through the - admittedly tough task of predicting how on earth this will play out - Jacob is joined once again by Rhiana from the Back the Girls Podcast. We also chat about the recent news that former interim WRU Performance Director Huw Bevan is now Head of Rugby Operations at Leicester.  Enjoy!

In an episode that is hopefully not too academical and definitely concise and to the point, Hattie and Jacob discuss the historical ramifications of WRWC 2025, why it matters and why people should really stop anglicising women's rugby history, as well as an interesting role that Leicester Tigers played in the first World Cup in 1991.
