Comedians Lauren Davis (Fox, Hulu) and Michele Baber (Kidd Kraddick) are hysterical women, and we're batsh*t crazy about reality TV. We're two former stand-up comedians and joke writers with a long list of comedic accomplishments and mental illness diagnoses- and now, all of our time, obsession, passion, talent, wit, and neuroses are dedicated entirely to recapping reality shows. We do hours of research to get inside the minds of other gifted and deeply unwell women- the goddesses of reality TV (and their terrible husbands and boyfriends). You'll learn all about these divas' humble beginnings, scandals, relationships- all the stuff that never made it to TV that you want to know but are too lazy to scour the internet to find. We do deep-dives into enigmas like Bethenny Frankel to Hilaria Baldwin to Kelly Bensimmon- and finally give you some answers to the question, "Why on earth do they act like that?" Lauren has the pleasure of learning from a guest teacher on this episode, the wonderful Angela Von Hatten from Wonderful Garbage Podcast. They deep dive into the psyches of our favorite Bad Mormons and delight in another banger Mary luncheon! After seeing the holes in the prosecution's case (Lisa pretending to listen to Kendrick Lamar at customs and no one remembering the end of Crazy Rich Asians), we, like the SLC ladies, are forced to rule in favor of the defendant- although there is some dissent over whether Meredith has met the terms of her punishment by delivering her half-assed apology to Brittany at the end of the episode. And both manifest that we will ultimately get footage of the event in question at the reunion. Then, Lauren and Angela make a strong pro-Bronwyn case, though the jury is still out if Bron will be able to form deeper bonds with the tight-knit cast in her next season when her personal life isn't in utter turmoil; They lightly muse on the curious nature of Mary's riches, and Angela has excellent business pitches for both Heather Gay and Whitney the Wild Rose.
